Default LGBT Activism and Paedophilia

Note: This is not an attack on gays or homosexuality in general, no more than any criticism of Pakistani paedophile gangs is an attack on the Pakistani community, or criticism of the British government is an attack on British people.

The Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) was founded in Edinburgh in 1974 by Labour Party member Ian Campbell Dunn and Michael Hanson. Openly promoting paedophilia, the aims of PIE as per its manifesto included reducing the legal age of consent to four, and the legalisation of incest. Funded and supported directly by the government - and by gay and civil rights groups and charities closely linked with the government - its members have kidnapped, abused, tortured, raped, and even murdered countless children, mostly from state-run children's care homes such as Elm House.

PIE was originally part of the Scottish Minorities Group (SMG), a gay rights lobby that Dunn and Hanson also founded earlier in 1969. Dunn had initially intended to set up a Scottish branch of the Homosexual Reform Law Society (HRLS), and met with its secretary Antony Grey in London in September 1967 to discuss this.

Dunn's proposal failed as Grey apparently had some problems with the North-Western branch of the HRLS, which would become the Campaign for Homosexual Equality (CHE). There are a few important points to note about CHE, as it:
  • Shared membership with and openly supported the Paedophile Information Exchange
  • Shared membership with the National Council for Civil Liberties which campaigned on behalf of PIE (e.g. through CHE executive, PIE member, and NCCL officer Nettie Pollard)
  • Currently has Lord Smith of Finsbury (ex Labour party MP) as its vice-chairman
  • Was commemorated by both the Bishop and Lord Mayor of Manchester in 2014 on its 50th anniversary
  • Includes Labour MP Peter Hain as an “honorary” vice-chairman

Founded and run by self-confessed paedophiles, the SMG – also known as the Scottish Homosexual Rights Group and later as Outright Scotland – have been promoted by the BBC, and were active with Trade Unions, the Scottish Government, and other Scottish public institutions such as the NHS, Police, and Justice System until around 2006[1][2]. Their role has since been taken over by the Equality Network and Stonewall Scotland, both linked to and affiliated with the SMG.

Two or three months after founding PIE, Dunn promoted it publicly by organising the First International Gay Rights Congress in Edinburgh in 1974. PIE was openly advertised as a proposed participant:

"pie", a Scottish-based group of pedophiles [sic], will be represented
International Gay Rights Congress Programme, 1974
The congress was sponsored by several key left-wing figures that already knew Dunn, including Gordon Brown (future Labour Prime Minister and alleged paedophile [and this]), Robin Cook (future Labour Foreign Secretary), and David Steel (future leader of the Liberal Democrats). Despite claims of being “duped” and “hoodwinked” by Dunn, it is notable that he was allowed to officially join the Labour party three years later in 1977, despite openly being a self-confessed paedophile. Dunn was also an activist with the Edinburgh City Labour Party, as well as the National and Local Government Officers Association (NALGO), a local government union that would later merge into Unison; Dunn and SMG continued to work with them, too.

Dunn is also notable for establishing the Edinburgh LGBT Centre in 1974, editing the Gay Scotland magazine, and later publicly criticising the Aberdeen police in 1997 for a sting operation that uncovered local paedophiles abusing a thirteen year old boy in public toilets. After his death in 1998 of a suspected heart attack, Dunn was posthumously given the pride-scotia award by the LGBT community in recognition of his accomplishments.

PIE relocated to London in 1975, with Keith Hose taking over from Dunn as the chairman. As mentioned earlier, Dunn knew Antony Grey, Secretary of the London-based Albany Trust, a gay rights group funded by the Home Office. The Albany Trust supported and provided funding to PIE.

The Albany Trust also supported another paedophile ring called Paedophile Action for Liberation (PAL). PAL were originally part of an English gay rights group called the Gay Liberation Front (GLF). and merged with PIE shortly after some of its members were exposed by the Sunday People newspaper in May 1975 as “The Vilest Men in Britain”.

One notable member of the GLF in the 1970s was Peter Thatchell, currently a prominent gay / human rights campaigner and BBC personality. Thatchell was also a close friend and open supporter of several senior members of PIE, including convicted paedophiles Tom O'Carroll and Warren Middleton, with whom he co-authored a pro-paedophile book called “Betrayal of Youth”.

The now-defunct Home Office-funded Princedale Trust also supported and funded PIE. This trust was provided with over £400,000 by the Home Office between 1974 and 1984 to provide to a drug abuse charity called Release... which had the same address as PIE.

The source of the funding to both trusts was Clifford Hindley, head of the Home Office's Voluntary Services Unit (VSU). A suspected paedophile, Hindley would later fund PIE between 1977 and 1980. The government denies providing any funding to PIE.

Criticism of the Albany Trust for its close links with PIE resulted in a public denial by the Trust in January 1975, which was rebutted less than a week later by a Dr. Ellison of The Responsible Society. These public denials went on for years, which Albany still maintains. However, Grey himself actually admits that the Albany Trust supported PIE and PAL:

'In September 1975, When I was Director of the Albany Trust, I went with the Trust's then Chairman, Harold Haywood to a seminar organized by MIND... on sexual minorities and their problems. A young man [Keith Hose, PIE chairman], spoke there very openly and courageously about his experiences, thoughts, and feelings as a paedophile. Afterwards, Mr Haywood said to me that this of all sexual minorities was the most execrated and doom-laden, and that the Trust has a moral duty to see whether anything could be done to help...

...[S]o I organized some private meetings at the trust offices with a number of psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers who were professionally interested in paedophilia, and also invited some paedophiles, including the young man who had spoken at the MIND conference and other members of the Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) and another group, PAL (Paedophile Action for Liberation)...

...[T]he Albany Trust and its work - which, I pointed out, enjoyed widespread Church support - was not answered [by critics]..

MIND is a mental health charity. Hose also wrote about the MIND workshop in the PIE chairman's report of 1975/6:

..Another conference causing quite a stir was the ‘Sexual Minorities Workshop’ held by MIND, the National Association of Mental Health... At that I spoke about my own personal experiences as a paedophile...

...A female social worker who attended the conference also complained to Tony Smythe, and it was when criticising evidence supplied to the Criminal Law Revision Committee, in an article to the TIMES that Ronald Butt quoted part of the speech I gave at MIND.'

The director of MIND was Tony Smythe, also a trustee of the Albany Trust. After Hose 'courageously' promoted the sexual abuse of children at its workshop, MIND promoted PIE in turn as a contact in its newsletter, Mind Out. Although Grey (again) defended the Albany Trust and MIND in 1975, MIND later issued an apology in 2014. Prior to becoming the Director of MIND, Smythe had also been the General Secretary of the National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL) – now known as Liberty – between 1966 and 1971. The relationship between PIE and the NCCL / Liberty has been covered in another post.

PIE were invited to promote paedophilia at a conference held by the Campaign for Homosexual Equality (CHE) in August (and here). Hose later commented on this in his PIE Chairman's report of 1975/6:

Among our major achievements are the following:
The passing of a motion at the Campaign for Homosexual Equality’s conference in Sheffield, August 1975, in which the delegates held that paedophilia was an important subject.'

Hose authored the PIE manifesto in November 1975. Consider the following extracts from it:

Paedophile Information Exchange was founded in October 1974. It has a membership of over 100 British paedophiles...

The argument for abolishing ages of consent is supported by the vast amount of evidence now accumulated showing the pre-pubertal children have sexual feelings and desires and willingly take part in sexual activity, with no demonstrable harm...

...Orgasm has been observed in boys of every age from 5 months to adolescence... Orgasm is in our records for a female babe of 4 months...

Below the age of 4 it would be deemed by the law that children are unable to communicate their consent to sexual activity.

The claims made in the PIE manifesto – and which continue to be touted by paedophiles and their enablers – were based on the fraudulent research of sadist and paedophile Professor Alfred Kinsey. The Youtube Documentary "The Kinsey Syndrome" is worth your time about this. This very clear manifesto was supplied to the Home Office, and was sold at conferences held by the Campaign for Homosexual Equality (CHE). As mentioned earlier - and in another post about the NCCL and PIE - the link between PIE, CHE, and the NCCL was paedophile Nettie Pollard. Pollard was a founding member of PIE, the NCCL's "Gay and Lesbian Officer" for over 20 years, and remains an Executive of CHE. Pollard was therefore a key figure in PIE's promotion, and its affiliation with the NCCL, which consequently attempted to reduce the age of consent to 10, and to essentially de-criminalise child pornography (i.e. allow sexual imagry of children as young as 14).

There is far too much information to list in this post in respect to the close relationship between CHE and PIE. However, this link is excellent. A couple of articles have also been listed below, where CHE openly defended PIE during the early 1980s. This was around the time of an increased public outcry that resulted in PIE going underground:
