Default finding son 'shivering under blood-stained sheets'

Shocked father takes his own pillows and duvet into £170m hospital after finding son 'shivering under blood-stained sheets'

James Handy, 74, took matters into his own hands because he was disgusted by the conditions at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, Fife
Mr Handy's diabetic son William, 50, is receiving treatment at the hospital for porosis of the stomach
William Handy claims a nurse told him that he would be 'lucky to make it out alive'
James Handy alleges that a nurse told him that cleaners wouldn't enter the ward to clear up mess because they feared getting an infection
Scotland's Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon has described the alleged incidents as 'completely and utterly unacceptable'
NHS Fife has begun an investigation into the claims

Why is it people still believe that the Corporate run uncaring NHS has your best interests at heart? Rather do my own research, and i do with anything serious that crops up and usually turn stuff around whilst NHS is turning the other cheek or worse keeping stuff from me. I can believe the filth but where are the nurses who used to methodically clean Wards each morning back in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

See What Doctors Dont Tell You, out of interest.

Is this some kind of problem reaction solution?

Make sure the hospitals are filthy and not run properly then privatise them?

Is it is then it is DAM SICK!!!

The deliberate running down of our NHS is both planned and criminal. The negative reporting equally so. There is not a country in the world with such a wonderful system of healthcare, even in it's present degraded state. The fact that the British people do not realise it makes me saddened and angry. If they realised how precious it was though, they would protect it and that is why they have been kept ignorant!

feck me, that's like two minutes along the road from me.

My Gran died in there a few years ago. My mum was in there a few weeks ago as well.

The place looks spotless and there is an extension being built so the facilities are improving.

1 womans/mans clean is another another mans/womans dirt.

Is it because of the extension that things are up in the air?

Sounds like some Glasgow hospitals I've been unfortunate enough to be a patient in whilst close to death's door in the past. NHS definitely has some bad apples.

This happened exactly like that to a friends of our's father in Belfast City Hospital after toe removal! His sister an ER children's nurse had to clean everything herself when she was visiting from another hospital.

Anyone who has ever had a baby knows all about being left to lie in your own filth with no-one to help you have a shower or bath. Infact, not wanting to use the dirty bathrooms anyway.

In the 1950's nurses used to be trained not to use cracked crockery because of the risk of infection!!! Imagine those standards being applied these days!

I was in hospital in the middle of winter with heavy snow outside. The window in the ward had fallen out somehow. I was in that ward for a few days and the gap wasn't even boarded up. It was freezing.

I do know from recent personal experiences that the NHS try hard to kill you or make you worse, but at least its free?

I dont think there is any political agenda here, the NHS has been shit for the last 25 years. Its just become like the majority of the UK population, cold, soulless and uncaring.
