3–2–1 is a popular British game show that was made by Yorkshire Television for ITV. It ran for ten years, between 29 July 1978 and 24 December 1988, with former Butlins Redcoat Ted Rogers as the host. It was based on a Spanish gameshow called Un, dos, tres... responda otra vez and was three shows in one, a quiz show, a variety show and a game show...

The overall objective of the game was to survive elimination through to part three of the show, and try to unravel a series of cryptic clues in order to win the star prize. One of the clues, however, referred to Dusty Bin who was the show's booby prize. If the contestants ended up with Dusty at the end of the show, all they got was a brand new dustbin. Each show had a theme, such as "Seacruise" or the "Swinging Sixties"..

"The Oxbridge lot got control of TV and they didn't really want it. It was too downmarket for them. We were still getting 12 million viewers when they took it off after ten years. These days if a show gets nine million everyone does a lap of honour."
D (named dee) is the 4th letter in the basic modern Latin alphabet..

B (named bee) is the 2nd letter in the ISO basic Latin alphabet...

The SAS commonly deploy as 4-man patrols. Such a small number has proved its worth during the SAS's experience in jungle combat in Malaysia.. It was found that, for many operations, smaller patrols worked best. 4 is small enough to avoid detection and still carry enough stores to get the job done... A 4-man patrol is the smallest tenable unit possible since it allows for a wounded member to be carried out by 2 others whilst being covered by a third....

Daddies is a brand of ketchup and brown sauce in the United Kingdom and Ireland.. The brown sauce is similar to HP Sauce, but without tamarind, without tomatoes and with less malt vinegar but more Spirit vinegar...

Hale & Pace's characters "The Two Rons - also known as The Management" also had a spin-off series of their own called The Management which included a number of their regular cast in permanent positions and ran for a total of 6 episodes.. This series was also released on video. They also made several specials, such as the 1996 Showcase Hale & Pace Down Under from Australia and April Fools' Day...

Planet of the Spiders is the fifth and final serial of the 11th season..The planet is ruled by the Eight-Legs or giant spiders, and their Queen is the supreme ruler..Following the events of Invasion of the Dinosaurs, Mike Yates was discharged from UNIT and is now attending a Tibetan meditation centre in rural England...Tommy has given the crystal to the abbot, K’anpo Rimpoche, who is an elderly Time Lord and the one-time hermit mentor of the Doctor...

This serial also introduces the term "regeneration"..It was only at the end of the Third Doctor's era, in Planet of the Spiders (1974), when The Doctor turns into The Fourth Doctor, that the change is finally called "regeneration" and is explained as a biological process that occurred when a Time Lord's body was dying...

Dawn (from an Old English verb dagian "to become day") is the time that marks the beginning of the twilight before sunrise..It is recognized by the presence of weak sunlight, while the sun itself is still below the horizon. Dawn should not be confused with sunrise, which is the moment when the leading edge of the sun itself appears above the horizon...

Tommy was born in Scotland Road, Liverpool, England. His mother, Mary Jane (née Fleming), was a cleaner, and his father, John Stewart Baker was a Jewish English sailor who was rarely at home. His parents were working class Liverpudlians.. Baker left school at 15 to become a Roman Catholic monk and remained in this lifestyle for six years, but left after losing his faith. He did his national service in the Royal Army Medical Corps, serving from 1955 until 1957. Which were in the studios
Hallowed by thy name
Thy music come
Thy songs be sung
On this album as they came from your heads
We give you this day our daily bread
Give us thy album in a round cover as we give thee 37/9d.,
Lead us into the record stores.
And deliver us Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake
For nice is the music
The sleeve and the story
For ever and ever, Immediate...

Colour Me Pop was a British music TV programme broadcast on BBC2 from 1968-1969. It was a spin-off from the BBC 2 arts magazine show Late Night Line-Up. Designed to celebrate the new introduction of colour to British television, it was directed by Steve Turner, and showcased half-hour sets by pop and rock groups of the period. The programme was a pioneering precursor to the better remembered BBC music programme The Old Grey Whistle Test (1971–87). Unlike its successor, most of the editions of Colour Me Pop are lost...

Fireman Sam (Welsh: Sam Tân) is a Welsh animated children's television series about a fireman called Sam, his fellow firefighters, and other townspeople in the fictional Welsh town of Pontypandy (a portmanteau of two real towns, Pontypridd and Tonypandy, which are situated approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) apart in the South Wales valleys). The original idea for the show came from two ex-firemen from Kent.. They took their idea to artist/writer Rob Lee who developed the concept for them. The finished concept was then presented to S4C who saw the potential in the series and commissioned it...Bruce George Peter Lee confessed to a total of 11 acts of arson..The Sunday Times published articles suggesting Lee's statements had been not entirely voluntary...

"I remember that winter because it had brought the heaviest snows I had ever seen. Snow had fallen steadily all night long and in the morning I woke in a room filled with light and silence, the whole world seemed to be held in a dream-like stillness. It was a magical day... and it was on that day I made the Snowman."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb-pX7sIjFY

The Snowman is a children's picture book without words by English author Raymond Briggs, first published in 1978 by Hamish Hamilton in the U.K., and published by Random House in the U.S. that November.. In Britain it was highly commended runner up for the Kate Greenaway Medal from the Library Association, recognising the year's best children's book illustration by a British subject. In the U.S. it was named to the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award list in 1979...

The film story is told through pictures, action and music, scored by Howard Blake. It is wordless like the book, except for the song "Walking in the Air".. In addition to the orchestral score, performed in the film by the Sinfonia of London, Blake composed the music and lyrics of the song, performed by a St Paul's Cathedral choirboy Peter Auty...A new 23-minute film titled The Snowman and The Snowdog aired on Channel 4 on Christmas Eve 2012 at 8pm GMT to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original short and of Channel 4.. Since 1997 Sadler's Wells has presented it every year as the Christmas Show at the Peacock Theatre...

Patriarch Jed moves with his family into a mansion next door to his banker in the wealthy Los Angeles County city of Beverly Hills, California, where he brings a moral, unsophisticated, and minimalistic lifestyle to the swanky, sometimes self-obsessed and superficial community.
