Lightbulb Airship 23

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwb...ant-song_music

The 23 class were rigid airships produced in the United Kingdom during the First World War. They were designed by Vickers, who also built the first and last of the 4 ships, with the other two being built by William Beardmore and Company and Armstrong-Whitworth.. While the 23 class was never used in combat, the four ships provided many hours of valuable training and experimental data for British airship crews and designers. Although a total of 17 of these ships were contemplated at one time, only four were ever built.. The 23 class was found to be significantly overweight, leading to its cancellation in favour of the more-refined R23X class..

Construction was commenced by Vickers on 1 January 1916 at Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria. Construction was delayed by materials shortages (including the shortage of linen caused by the Easter rising in Ireland) and strikes. The trial flight took place at Barrow on 19 September 1917. The ship was found to have less than the rated lift so the dynamos, bomb gear, and furniture were removed to save weight. A 240 hp (180 kW) Maybach engine from the crashed Zeppelin L 33 replaced the Rolls-Royce in a new rear car, this one without emergency controls...

The shells from the large gun caused the ground crew at Pullham some alarm when they ricochetted off the ground instead of exploding harmlessly. In July, experiments were made with parasite fighters, in the hope they could defend the airship.. First an unmanned, then a manned, Sopwith Camel were launched successfully.. In November, the experiment was successfully completed with two other manned Camels...

THE perfect word is the triad, because it supposes an intelligent principle, a speaking principle, and a principle spoken. The absolute, revealing itself by speech, endows this speech with a sense equivalent to itself, and in the understanding thereof creates itself a third time. Thus, also, the sunmanifests itself by its light, and proves or makes this manifestation efficacious by heat..The triad is traced in space by the heavenly zenith, the infinite height, connected with east and west by 2 straight diverging lines..With this visible triangle reason compares another which is invisible, but is assumed to be equal in dimension ; the abyss is its apex and its reversed base is parallel to the horizontal line stretching from east to west.. These 2 triangles, combined in a single figure, which is the six-pointed star, form the sacred symbol of Solomon's seal, the resplendent star of the Macrocosm. The notion of the infinite and the absolute is expressed by this sign, which is the grand pantacle that is to say, the most simple and complete abridgment of the science of all things...

The most sought after object in humanity, the elusive Holy Grail. Is it a cup, a plate, the bones of Jesus or perhaps the Ark and its contents? Whatever it is; it has occupied the minds of popes, kings, nobles, knights, the rich and the poor. Were the mystic Knights Templar guardians of it? What happened to it? Is it real? This book answers all of these questions and more. Here are some of the authors' discoveries in his 15 year quest into the myth of the Holy Grail. The location of Mount Heredom, the New Jerusalem discovered, the Holy Grail decoded, the origins of Freemasonry exposed, the location of the Holy Grail, the Sanctuary of the Knights Templar, the geometry of Bornholm expanded, the purpose of the Nazca lines, the real history of Kilwinning, the hidden geometry of Jerusalem. All roads lead not to Rome but to a small village on the west coast of Scotland, Kilwinning the birthplace of Freemasonry...

Meaconing is the interception and rebroadcast of navigation signals. These signals are rebroadcast on the received frequency, typically, with power higher than the original signal, to confuse enemy navigation. Consequently, aircraft or ground stations are given inaccurate bearings..Meaconing is among alternate theories for some aircraft crashes, such as Korean Air Lines Flight 007 and the 2010 Polish Air Force Tu-154 crash..The 1989 Belgian MiG-23 crash involved the crash of an unmanned Soviet MiG-23M "Flogger-B" into a house in Kortrijk, Belgium, on 4 July 1989, killing an 18-year-old man..The Belgian government made formal protest to the Soviet Union regarding the lack of notification as to the danger the aircraft posed to the civilian population.."there was also a notable slowness on the part of the Soviets in disclosing whether the jet was carrying nuclear or toxic weapons"...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAaVc2fVxFw
At 20:46, the flight made its first radio contact with Maputo Air Traffic Control (ATC), reporting its position and that it was continuing towards the Maputo VHF Omnidirectional Range (VOR) navigation beacon while maintaining an altitude of 35,000 feet (11,000 m).. At 21:02 the crew radioed that they were ready to begin descending, and after being instructed by the Maputo controller to report reaching 3,000 feet MSL or when the runway lights were in sight, began their descent for an ILS approach to runway 23...

During the last 22 seconds of the flight, the crew twice more radioed Maputo about the runway lights, affirming that they were not in sight, which was eventually acknowledged by the Maputo controller. Meanwhile the captain stated "cloudy, cloudy, cloudy" and the navigator exclaimed "no, no, there's nowhere to go, there's no NDBs, nothing!"...

The actual accident site was in a remote, inaccessible corner of South Africa, approximately 150 meters from the Mozambiquean border.. The left wing hit a tree and then the aircraft had proceeded to break up before sliding down a hill, distributing the wreckage over a debris field 846m in length.. A police officer was alerted at approximately 23:00 by a villager from Mbuzini, and the first responder to the scene was a member of the Komatipoort police station who arrived at 23:40. The first medical personnel reached the site at 01:00. Shortly after 04:00, a helicopter and medical crew from the South African Air Force base at Hoedspruit arrived and proceeded to evacuate the survivors to Nelspruit hospital...

Though related to the traditionally pastoral Khoikhoi, they were traditionally hunter-gatherers..A football stadium was constructed in Nelspruit for the 2010 World Cup, it was named Mbombela Stadium and has a capacity of 45,000 and hosted Four 2010 World Cup matches... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgIM8yaF6es

Lightbulb 23rd Street (Manhattan)

The famous Flatiron Building sits on the intersection of 23rd Street (front), Broadway (left), and 5th Avenue (right)..The easternmost block of West 23rd is part of the Ladies Mile Historic District...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3eN0e60Zco
23rd Street is a broad thoroughfare in the New York City borough of Manhattan, one of the two-way major east-west streets in the borough's grid. As with Manhattan's other "crosstown" streets, it is divided at 5th Avenue, in this case at Madison Square Park, into its east and west sections. Since 1999 the area north of 23rd Street around the park has been referred to as Nomad..The street formerly ran from the East River to the Hudson River, but now terminates at 11th Avenue...

West 23rd carves through the heart of Chelsea. For much of the late 19th century and early 20th century its western end was site of the Pavonia Ferry at Pier 63, just north of the Chelsea Piers. London Terrace is slight farther inland. In the late 19th century, the western part of 23rd Street was to American theater what Broadway is today, with the Opera House Palace and Pike's Opera House one block away and Proctor's Theater ("continuous daily vaudeville") across the street from the Hotel Chelsea. 23rd Street remained New York's main theater strip until The Empire opened on Broadway some twenty blocks uptown, ushering in a new era of theater...

On October 17, 1966, this street was also witness to New York's deadliest fire in terms of firefighters killed until the September 11, 2001 attacks. The "23rd Street Fire", as it came to be called, began in a cellar at 7 East 22nd Street and soon spread to the basement of 6 East 23rd Street, a five-story commercial building that housed a drugstore at street level..12 firefighters were killed; two chiefs, two lieutenants, and six firefighters plunged into the flaming cellar, while two more firefighters were killed by the blast of flame and heat on the first floor...

At the northern end of Madison Square, on an island bordered by Broadway, Fifth Avenue and 25th Street, stands an obelisk, designed by James G. Batterson which was erected in 1857 over the tomb of General William Jenkins Worth, who served in the Seminole Wars and the Mexican War, and for whom Fort Worth, Texas was named, as well as Worth Street in lower Manhattan.. The city's Parks Department designated the area immediately around the monument as a parklet called General Worth Square..Worth's monument was one of the first to be erected in a city park since the statue of George III was removed from Bowling Green in 1776, and is the only monument in the city except for Grant's Tomb that doubles as a mausoleum...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzxPIW5RrsY

Default Exodus 23

Benjamin Harrison was the 23rd President of the United States; he was the grandson of the ninth President, William Henry Harrison. Harrison had become a prominent local attorney, Presbyterian church leader and politician in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Exodus 23

Laws of Justice and Mercy

23 “Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.
2 “Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd, 3 and do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit.
4 “If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it. 5 If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
6 “Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits. 7 Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty.
8 “Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.
9 “Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.

2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines (2/23) is a reserve infantry battalion in the United States Marine Corps located throughout the Western United States consisting of approximately 1000 Marines and Sailors. They fall under the command of the 23rd Marine Regiment and the 4th Marine Division..3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment (3/23) is a reserve infantry battalion in the United States Marine Corps located throughout the Midwestern United States consisting of approximately 800 Marines and Sailors. The battalion was first formed in 1943 for service in the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II, taking part in a number of significant battles including those at Saipan and Iwo Jima before being deactivated at the end of the war. In the early 1960s, the unit was reactivated as a reserve battalion. The battalion is headquartered in Saint Louis, Missouri with outlying units throughout the Midwestern United States. 3/23 falls under the command of the 23rd Marine Regiment and the 4th Marine Division.

Recent operations have included tours in Iraq and Afghanistan..There was an initial call-up of 6 specialists in late November 1990 from the Fox Company, located in Salt Lake City, Utah. They left within 5 days to join 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marines whose headquarters is in the New Orleans, LA. area. From there they proceeded to Camp Lejeune for preparation before deploying to Al Jabail, Saudi Arabia. They proceeded north into Kuwait where their final location was Hill 99, just outside of Kuwait City. They were released from active duty in May 1991 and returned home...In December 1990, 2nd Battalion, 23rd Marines was mobilized by Presidential Call-up to support Operation Desert Shield/Storm.. 99.2% of those on the rolls reported to their 7 separate drill centers for duty. Within 2 days of activation, this, the largest and most geographically diverse infantry battalion in the Marine Corps, reported to its Station of Initial Assignment at Camp Pendleton, California with 1,015 Marine and Navy personnel. Unlike the standard 180 day build up period which most UDP battalions require to prepare for deployment, 2/23 deployed within 16 days of activation and joined III MEF on 25 December 1990 in Okinawa, Japan...

Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune (lə-JURN) is a 246-square-mile (640 km2) United States military training facility in Jacksonville, North Carolina. The base's 14 miles (23 km) of beaches make it a major area for amphibious assault training, and its location between 2 deep-water ports (Wilmington and Morehead City) allows for fast deployments..From at least 1957 through 1987, Marines and their families at Lejeune drank and bathed in water contaminated with toxins at concentrations 240 to 3400 times permitted by safety standards, and at least 850 former residents filed claims for nearly $4 billion from the military. The main chemicals involved were trichloroethylene (TCE), a degreaser, perchloroethylene (PCE), a dry cleaning solvent, and benzene; however, more than 70 chemicals have been identified as contaminants at Lejeune..In 2007, Jerry Ensminger, a retired Marine Master Sergeant, found a document dated 1981 that described a radioactive dump site near a rifle range at the camp. According to the report, the waste was laced with strontium-90, an isotope known to cause cancer and leukemia..As many as 500,000 people may have been exposed to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune over a period of 30 years...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymptVB3T28M

Worzel Gummidge was a scarecrow that could come to life on Scatterbrook Farm.. Worzel spent more time trying to win the affections of Aunt Sally than actually protecting the farm from crows..As its name suggests, it scares away crows from the field..Mommet..In Kojiki, the oldest surviving book in Japan (compiled in the year 712), a scarecrow known as Kuebiko appears as a deity who cannot walk, yet knows everything about the world...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3GE8pNXPEQ

First Gulf War: to distinguish it from the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the subsequent war..The U.S. divided the conflict into 3 major campaigns..On 2 August 1990, Iraq launched the invasion by bombing Kuwait's capital, Kuwait City..(At the time of the invasion, the Kuwaiti military was believed to have numbered 16,000 men, arranged into 3 armored, 1 mechanized infantry and 1 under-strength artillery brigade). On 3 August, the Arab League passed its own resolution, which called for a solution to the conflict from within the League, and warned against outside intervention; Iraq and Libya were the only 2 Arab League states which opposed a resolution for Iraq to withdraw from Kuwait..Within 12 hours, most resistance had ended within Kuwait and the royal family had fled, leaving Iraq in control of most of Kuwait...

Estimated 700 oil wells set on fire in Kuwait, Feb. 23.. On 26 February, Iraqi troops began retreating from Kuwait, after they had set its oil fields on fire (737 oil wells were set on fire). A long convoy of retreating Iraqi troops formed along the main Iraq-Kuwait highway. Although they were retreating, this convoy was bombed so extensively by Coalition air forces that it came to be known as the Highway of Death...Allied ground assault begins, 4 a.m., Feb 24 (Feb. 23, 8 p.m. Eastern time)..On 27 Feb, Saddam ordered a retreat from Kuwait..In a reported friendly fire incident, on 23 August 2007, one of a pair United States Air Force F-15E fighter aircraft called in to support a patrol of the 1st Battalion in Afghanistan dropped a bomb on the same patrol, killing 3 men, and severely injured 2 others...

Of the 148 U.S. troops who died in battle, 24% were killed by friendly fire, a total of 35 service personnel.. A further 11 died in detonations of coalition munitions..9 British military personnel were killed in a friendly fire incident when a USAF A-10 Thunderbolt II destroyed a group of 2 Warrior IFVs..The exact number of Iraqi combat casualties is unknown, but is believed to have been heavy. Some estimate that Iraq sustained between 20,000 and 35,000 fatalities..A report commissioned by the U.S. Air Force, estimated 10,000–12,000 Iraqi combat deaths in the air campaign, and as many as 10,000 casualties in the ground war.. This analysis is based on Iraqi prisoner of war reports..Over 1,000 Kuwaiti civilians were killed in the conflict..More than 600 Kuwaitis went missing during Iraq's occupation, and approximately 375 remains were found in mass graves in Iraq..In one noted incident, two USAF stealth planes bombed a bunker in Amiriyah, causing the deaths of 408 Iraqi civilians who were in the shelter...

Following the end of Operation Desert Storm in February 1991, the Pentagon, led by then defense secretary Dick Cheney, paid Halliburton subsidiary Brown & Root Services over $8.5 million to study the use of private military forces with American soldiers in combat zones.. Halliburton crews also helped bring 725 burning oil wells under control in Kuwait..United Nations Security Council Resolution 687, adopted on 3 April 1991, after reaffirming resolutions and was passed by 12 votes..The controversies over enforcing this and subsequent resolutions would lead to the outbreak of another war 12 years later..During the Balkans conflict in the 1990s, Kellogg Brown-Root (KBR) supported U.S. peacekeeping forces in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Hungary with food, laundry, transportation, and other life-cycle management services..In 1998, Halliburton merged with Dresser Industries, which included Kellogg. Prescott Bush was a director of Dresser Industries, which is now part of Halliburton..What the hell do you think spies are?..

On 11 July 1987, the largest Greenland earthquake of instrumental record (mb = 5.5, Mw = 5.4) occurred in continental crust off the northeastern coast in the Wandel Sea..Another major earthquake (26 November 1971; mb = 5.1) 311 km to the south of the 11 July 1987 event was likewise determined to be normal faulting and can be explained as another event triggered by deglaciation. In addition, we find that the sparse general seismicity of Greenland can also be related to postglacial rebound...

Jimmy Burke was born in New York..His mother, Jane Conway, was from Dublin, Ireland. James' father has never been identified. At age 2, his mother placed him in a foster home; he spent most of his early years in a Roman Catholic orphanage run by nuns, and never saw his parents again..He was known to be very polite and charming, but was a stone-cold killer. Said Henry Hill, "He was a big guy and knew how to handle himself. He looked like a fighter. He had a broken nose and he had a lot of hands.. If there was just the littlest amount of trouble, he'd be all over you in a second. He'd grab a guy's tie and slam his chin into the table before the guy knew he was in a war... Jimmy had a reputation for being wild.. Hill claimed the bar was also Burke's private cemetery, and over a dozen people were buried in and out of Robert's Lounge, bribing cops was like feeding elephants at the zoo. "All you need is peanuts." .."Jimmy could plant you just as fast as shake your hand. It didn’t matter to him. At dinner he could be the nicest guy in the world, but then he could blow you away for dessert"..Burke ran a loan sharking and bookmaking operation that was based at the bar, and high stakes poker games in the basement, of which he would receive a cut. Burke also owned a dress factory in South Ozone Park, Queens, called Moo Moo Vedda's, which kept him awash in laundered money..Burke frequently liked to lock his victims, notably the young children of his victims, in refrigerators. When Burke had a problem collecting money he was owed, and the unfortunate debtor had children, he would pick the child up in his huge arm, open the refrigerator with the other, and say, "If you don't do whatcha supposed to, I'm gonna lock your kid inside the fuckin' refrigerator"...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YO8Ti07hZE
