Neoproterozoic origin..Although the way in which the Iapetus Ocean evolved and disappeared in the Paleozoic is reasonably well understood, the geodynamics of its origin are less clear. In the Late Neoproterozoic (around 800 million years ago) Baltica, Laurentia, and the cratons that would later become Gondwana together formed the supercontinent RODIN IA. The exact configuration in which the continents were joined is not clear though. It is however clear that intracratonic basins had developed in the northern parts of this supercontinent during the Cryogenian period (850-630 million years ago), a first sign of continental break up (other parts of RODIN IA probably rifted off even earlier)...

Arrow Mother Bird To Mission Control

The Engraved Hourglass Nebula (also known as MyCn 18) is a young planetary nebula situated in the southern constellation Musca about 8,000 light-years away from Earth. It was discovered by Annie Jump Cannon and Margaret W. Mayall during their work on an extended Henry Draper Catalogue (the catalogue was built between 1918 and 1924). At the time, it was designated simply as a small faint planetary nebula. Much improved telescopes and imaging techniques allowed the hourglass shape of the nebula to be discovered by Raghvendra Sahai and John Trauger of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory on January 18, 1996. It is conjectured that MyCn 18's hourglass shape is produced by the expansion of a fast stellar wind within a slowly expanding cloud which is denser near its equator than its poles.. The formation of the shape of the inner "eye" is not yet fully understood...

Good examples of true binary companions are the 90 Antiope and the 79360 Sila–Nunam systems..The 2 components are named after Inuit deities.. Sila "spirit" is the Inuit god of the sky, weather, and life force. Nunam "earth" is the Earth goddess, in some traditions Sila's wife. Arrow ALchemical WeddinG

Quote:
The Alchemical Wedding + You..Physical life is created by the union of outward flowing semen in men with the transmigrating egg in women. This unconscious intercourse produces a new human being... When a man prevents the outward flow of semen during sexual practice while drawing the orgasmic energy upward the subtle body can become manifest. The subtle body is in this way enlivened with ching power. Being slowly coalesces there; the immortal fetus is born... Consciousness, feeling and sensation are able to precipitate there...This marriage of the King and Queen is seen as an allegory for the enlivening processes going on inside the alchemical vessel... Indeed many a chaste Medieval Christian alchemist was barred by religious prejudice from discovering even the possibility of sublimating orgasmic energy...

..

THE self-admitted author of The Chemical Marriage, Johann Valentin Andreæ, born in Württemberg in 1586, was twenty-8 years of age when that work was first published. It was presumably written about twelve years prior to its publication--or when the author was 15 or 16 years old.. The fact is almost incredible that one so young could produce a volume containing the wealth of symbolic thought and philosophy hidden between the lines of The Chemical Marriage. This book makes the earliest known reference to Christian Rosencreutz, and is generally regarded as the third of the series of original Rosicrucian manifestoes. As a symbolic work, the book itself is hopelessly irreconcilable with the statements made by Andreæ concerning it. The story of The Chemical Marriage relates in detail a series of incidents occurring to an aged man, presumably the Father C.R.C. of the Fama and Confessio. If Father C.R.C. was born in 1378, as stated in the Confessio, and is identical with the Christian Rosencreutz of The Chemical Marriage, he was elevated to the dignity of a Knight of the Golden Stone in the 80-first year of his life (1459). In the light of his own statements, it is inconceivable that Andreæ could have been Father Rosy Cross...Queen Of The Highway - Tube...

Quote:
Honeymoons in the modern sense (i.e. a pure holiday voyage undertaken by the married couple) became widespread during the Belle Époque, as one of the first instances of modern mass tourism..The term most likely comes from an old English tradition that dates from the Middle Ages.. Mead was drunk in great quantities at weddings, and after the ceremony nuptial couples were given a month’s supply of mead—sufficient for one full cycle of the moon.. It was believed that by faithfully drinking mead for that first month, the woman would “bear fruit” and a child would be born within the year.. Incidentally, raw honey has been shown in clinical studies to be a powerful fertility booster..There are many words of similar meaning in other languages. The French form translates as "moon of honey" (lune de miel), as do the Spanish (luna de miel), Nepali (Madhumas) Portuguese (lua de mel) and Italian (luna di miele) EQuivalents.. The Welsh word for honeymoon is mis mêl, which means "honey month", and similarly the Ukrainian (медовий місяць), Polish (miesiąc miodowy), Russian (медовый месяц), Arabic (شهر العسل shahr el 'assal), Greek (μήνας του μέλιτος) and Hebrew (ירח דבש yerach d'vash) versions. (Interestingly, Yerach is used for month, rather than the more common Chodesh. Yerach is related to the word Yare'ach for moon and the 2 words are spelled alike: ירח.) The Persian word is ماه عسل māh-e asal which means both "honey moon" and "honey month" (māh in Persian means both moon and month).. The same applies to the word ay in the Turkish equivalent, balayı. In Hungarian language it is called "honey weeks" (mézeshetek). Likewise, the Tamil word for honeymoon is (thaen nilavu), with thaen 'honey' and nilavu 'moon', and the Marathi word for honeymoon is (madhuchandra) with Madhu 'honey' and chandra 'moon', whereas in Bangla ('Bengali') language, it is referred to as মধুচন্দ্রিমা (modhuchondrima) with modhu 'honey and chondrima 'moon'..A babymoon is a related term and refers to a vacation taken by a couple either soon before, or soon after, the birth of their baby, like the honeymoon which follows a wedding..Hony mone, a term proverbially applied to such as be newly married, which will not fall out at the first, but th'one loveth the other at the beginning exceedingly, the likelihood of their exceadinge love appearing to aswage, ye which time the vulgar people call the hony mone...

The peace and prosperity in Paris allowed the arts to flourish, and many masterpieces of literature, music, theatre, and visual art gained recognition. The Belle Époque was named, in retrospect, when it began to be considered a "golden Age" in contrast to the Horrors of World War I...

The Galilean moons are the 4 moons of Jupiter discovered by Galileo Galilei around January 1610. They are by far the largest of the moons of Jupiter and derive their names from the lovers of Zeus: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.. They are among the most massive objects in the Solar System outside the Sun and the 8 planets, with radii larger than any of the dwarf planets. The three inner moons – Ganymede, Europa, and Io – participate in a 1:2:4 orbital resonance..The 4 moons were discovered in either 1609 or 1610 when Galileo made improvements to his telescope, which enabled him to observe celestial bodies more distinctly than had ever been possible before.. Galileo's discovery showed the importance of the telescope as a tool for astronomers by proving that there were objects in space that cannot be seen by the naked eye. More importantly, the incontrovertible discovery of celestial bodies orbiting something other than Earth dealt a serious blow to the then-accepted Ptolemaic world system, or the geocentric theory in which everything orbits around Earth..On January 7, 1610, Galileo wrote a letter containing the first mention of Jupiter’s moons. At the time, he saw only three of them, and he believed them to be fixed stars near Jupiter. He continued to observe these celestial orbs from January 8 to March 2, 1610. In these observations, he discovered a 4th body, and also observed that the 4 were not fixed stars, but rather Were orbiting Jupiter...

Ganymede, the 3rd Galilean moon is named after the mythological Ganymede, cupbearer of the Greek gods and Zeus's beloved.. Ganymede is the largest natural satellite in the Solar System at 5262.4 kilometers in diameter, which makes it larger than the planet Mercury - although only at about half of its mass since Ganymede is an icy world.. It is the only satellite in the Solar System known to possess a magnetosphere, likely created through convection within the liquid iron core..Callisto is the 4th and last Galilean moon, and is the 2nd largest of the 4, and at 4820.6 kilometers in diameter, it is the 3rd largest moon in the Solar System. Callisto was a daughter of the Arkadian King Lykaon and a hunting companion of the goddess Artemis. It does not form part of the orbital resonance that affects three inner Galilean satellites and thus does not experience appreciable tidal heating.. Callisto is composed of approximately equal amounts of rock and ices, which makes it the least dense of the Galilean moons. It is one of the most heavily cratered satellites in the solar system, and 1 major feature is a basin around 3000 km wide called Valhalla is the largest multi-ring impact crater on Jupiter's moon Callisto and in the Solar System.. It is named after Valhalla, the God Odin's hall in Norse mythology where warriors are taken after darth..Adlinda is the third-largest multiring structure (impact crater) on Jupiter's moon Callisto, measuring ~ 1000 Km in diameter.. It is situated in the southern hemisphere of Callisto.. The name is
taken from Inuit mythology...

Another scene that is much discussed is the visit to the "Trade Post of the White Man." In this scene, Nanook and his family arrive in a kayak at the trading post and one family member after another emerge from a small kayak, akin to a clown car at the circus.. Going to trade his hunt from the year, including foxes, seals and polar bears, Nanook comes in contact with the white man and there is a funny interaction as the two cultures meet. The trader plays music on a gramophone and tries to explain how a man 'cans' his voice. Bending forward and staring at the machine, Nanook puts his ear closer as the trader cranks the mechanism again.. The trader removes the record and hands it to Nanook who at first peers at it and then puts it in his mouth and bites it.. The scene is meant to be a comical one as the audience laughs at the naivete of Nanook and people isolated from Western culture. In truth, the scene was entirely scripted and Nanook knew what a gramophone was...

Lightbulb Týr

Quote:
Týr is a God associated with law and heroic Glory in Norse mythology, portrayed as one-handed... Corresponding names in other Germanic languages are Gothic Teiws, Old English Tīw and Old High German Ziu and Cyo, all from Proto-Germanic *Tīwaz. The Latinised name is Tius or Tio..In the late Icelandic Eddas, Tyr is portrayed, alternately, as the son of Odin (Prose Edda) or of Hymir (Poetic Edda), while the origins of his name and his possible relationship to Tuisto (see Tacitus' Germania) suggest he was once considered the father of the gods and head of the pantheon, since his name is ultimately cognate to that of *Dyeus (cf. Dyaus), the reconstructed chief deity in Indo-European religion. It is assumed that Tîwaz was overtaken in popularity and in authority by both Odin and Thor at some point during the Migration Age, as Odin shares his role as God of war..Tiw was equated with Mars in the interpretatio germanica. Tuesday is in fact "Tīw's Day" (also in Alemannic Zischtig from zîes tag), translating dies Martis...In the Eastern Orthodox Church, Tuesdays are dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. The Octoechos contains hymns on this theme, arranged in an 8-week cycle, that are chanted on Tuesdays throughout the year. At the end of Divine Services on Tuesday, the dismissal begins with the words: "May Christ our True God, through the intercessions of his most-pure Mother, of the honorable and glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist John"..In the Thai solar calendar, the day is named for the Pali word for the planet Mars, which also means "Ashes of the Dead"; the colour associated with Tuesday is pink..In the folk rhyme Monday's Child, "Tuesday's child is full of grace"..As Mars rules over Aries and Scorpio, these signs are also associated with Tuesday...

http://www.thehiddenrecords.com/mars.htm

Excerpts taken from The Biggest secret,

The Martians have landed?

The outer planets were thrown into disarray and Jupiter eventually crashed into a planet which orbited between the present Jupiter and Mars. The physicists said the remains of this planet became the asteroid belt and that part of Jupiter broke away to become what we now call Venus. As Venus, then a vast chunk of matter, was projected into space, it destroyed the atmosphere and life of Mars before it was caught by the Earth’s gravitational field, the study claimed. Venus made several orbits of the Earth before its momentum hurled it into its current position in the solar system. It was those orbits, the physicists said, that brought devastation and a tidal wave about 4,800 BC.

They believed, as Brian Desborough does, that before this time Mars orbited where the Earth is now and the Earth was much closer to the Sun. The brilliant light of Venus as it passed close to the Earth may have led to the idea of Lucifer, the ‘light bringer’. The most ancient Mesopotamian and Central American records do not include Venus in their planetary accounts, only later does it appear. There was an obsession with Venus in many cultures, with human sacrifices being made to it.

Eventually, Mars settled into its present orbit, but by then life on its surface had been obliterated. Yet again the evidence on Mars supports all this. The Mars Pathfinder mission found that Martian rocks lack sufficient erosion to have been on the surface for more than 10,000 years.

Brian Desborough believes, like the physicists he knew and worked with, that the Earth was once much nearer the Sun than it is today and that Mars orbited where the Earth now resides. If, as is claimed, the deep canyons on Mars’s surface were caused by massive torrents of water, there had to have been a warmer climate on Mars, because today it is so cold that water would freeze instantly and the near-vacuum atmosphere would make the water instantly vaporise.30 Desborough says that the Earth’s closer proximity to the Sun demanded that the first Earth humans were the black races with the pigmentation to cope with the much fiercer rays of the Sun.

Ancient skeletons found near Stonehenge in England and along the west coast of France display the nasal and spinal characteristics of many female Africans. Desborough says that Mars, then with a climate very much like ours, had a white race before the Venus cataclysm. His research has convinced him that the white Martians built the pyramids which have been recorded on Mars and they went to war with an advanced black race to conquer the Earth. These wars, he says, are the wars of the ‘gods’ described in endless ancient texts, not least the Hindu Vedas.

Desborough adds that after the cataclysm, the white Martians who had settled on Earth were stranded here without their technology and with their home planet devastated. These white Martians, he says, became the white peoples of the Earth. Fascinatingly, some scientists claim that when white people are immersed in sensory deprivation tanks for long periods, their circadian rhythm has a frequency of 24 hours 40 minutes, which corresponds not to the rotational period of the Earth, but of Mars! This is not the case with non-white races who are in tune with the Earth’s rotation.

Desborough believes that these white Martians were the highly advanced race of the ancient world known as the Phoenicians or Aryans and they began the long process of returning to their former technological power after the upheavals which destroyed the surface of their own planet and devastated this one.

Cool She's A Star

Quote:
The Question..Blazing Arc Reigns Fire On Sun...

This is not high priority but would you please tell me how many times the Earth would fit inside the sun?

The Answer..The resulting coronal mass ejection can be compared to a horseshoe magnet...

Your question was forwarded from StarChild to our Ask a NASA Scientist service on Imagine the Universe!

There are 2 ways to think about the size of the earth with respect to the sun..

First, the Sun's diameter is about 100 times that of the Earth. So, you'd have to line up 100 Earth's end-to-end to stretch across the face of the sun..

The second way to think about it is your question: how many Earth's would fit inside the sun. Imagine the you had a big, round, fish-bowl and a bunch of marbles. Now imagine that the diameter of the fish bowl was 100x the diameter of the each marble. That way, 100 marbles would stretch end to end across the fish bowl. Now, how many marbles will fit in the fish bowl? This is like asking your question about the Earth and the Sun..

As it turns out, we can stretch the marbles across the fish bowl in three directions, up/down, in/out and left/right, and everywhere in between. So,to fill the bowl we would need 100x100x100
= 1,000,000 marbles. Or, about 1,000,000 Earths would fit inside the sun...

Thumbs up Tale of the Bamboo Cutter

Quote:

Princess Kaguya (かぐや姫 Kaguya Hime, 赫映姫 or 輝夜姫), is a 10th-century Japanese folktale. It is considered the oldest extant Japanese narrativeand an early example of proto-science fiction..It primarily details the life of a mysterious girl called Kaguya-hime, who was discovered as a baby inside the stalk of a glowing bamboo plant. She is said to be from Tsuki-no-Miyako (月の都 "The Capital of the Moon")..One day, while walking in the bamboo forest, an old, childless bamboo cutter called Taketori no Okina (竹取翁?, "the Old Man who Harvests Bamboo") came across a mysterious, shining stalk of bamboo. After cutting it open, he found inside it an infant the size of his thumb. He rejoiced to find such a beautiful girl and took her home. He and his wife raised her as their own child and named her Kaguya-hime (かぐや姫 accurately, Nayotake-no-Kaguya-hime "princess of flexible bamboos scattering light"). Thereafter, Taketori no Okina found that whenever he cut down a stalk of bamboo, inside would be a small nugget of gold.. Soon he became rich. Kaguya-hime grew from a small baby into a woman of ordinary size and extraordinary beauty.. At first, Taketori no Okina tried to keep her away from outsiders, but over time the news of her beauty spread..Eventually,5 princes came to Taketori no Okina's residence to ask for Kaguya-hime's hand in marriage.. The princes eventually persuaded Taketori no Okina to tell a reluctant Kaguya-hime to choose from among them.. Kaguya-hime concocted impossible tasks for the princes, agreeing to marry the one who managed to bring her his specified item.. That night, Taketori no Okina told the 5 princes what each must bring.. The first was told to bring her the stone begging bowl of the Buddha from India, the second a jeweled branch from the island of Hōrai, the third the legendary robe of the fire-rat of China, the fourth a colored jewel from a dragon's neck, and the final prince the cowrie which was born from swallows.."Thumbelina" (Tommelise) is a literary fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen first published by C. A. Reitzel on 16 December 1835 in
Copenhagen, Denmark...

Quote:
SELENE ( Selenological and Engineering Explorer), better known in Japan by its nickname Kaguya (かぐや?) after the legendary Japanese moon princess, was the second Japanese lunar orbiter spacecraft..Elements of the tale were drawn from earlier stories.. The protagonist Taketori no Okina, given by name, appears in the earlier poetry collection Man'yōshū (c. 759; poem# 3791). In it, he meets a group of women to whom he recites a poem. This indicates that there previously existed an image or tale revolving around a bamboo cutter and celestial or mystical women..A similar retelling of the tale appears in the c. 12th century Konjaku Monogatarishū (volume 31, chapter 33), although their relation is under debate..There have been suggestions that The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter is adapted from the Chinese legend Chang'e and is related to the tale of Swan Lake..This probably is due to Kaguya-hime wearing the hagoromo (羽衣 "feather robe") when she ascends to her homeland. But the hagoromo figures more famously in a group of tales known as the hagoromo densetsu (in one example recorded in the Ōmi-no-kuni Fudoki tells of a man who instructs his dog to steal the hagoromo of eight heavenly maidens while they were bathing, forcing one of them to become his bride). And the latter is remarkably similar to the tale of the Chinese traditional Magpie Festival legend of the Fairy Couple. Also similar to the story of how Völundr Smith and his brothers wedded the swan-maidens..In 1957, Jinyu Fenghuang (金玉凤凰), a Chinese book of Tibetan tales, was published.. In early 1970s, Japanese literary researchers became aware that "Banzhu Guniang" (班竹姑娘), one of the tales in the book, had certain similarities with The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter..Initially, many researchers thought that "Banzhu Guniang" must be related to Tale of Bamboo Cutter, although some were skeptical..In 1980s, studies showed that the relationship is not as simple as initially thought. Okutsu provides extensive review of the research, and notes that the book Jinyu Fenghuang was intended to be for children, and as such, the editor took some liberties in adapting the tales. No other compilation of Tibetan tales contains the story..Ani Yeshe recalls that when she took the Vajrayogini empowerment... before me comes a similar Venerable Vajrayogini, the size of only a thumb..I rejoice in the pure white virtues of myself and others..I request you to turn the wheel of the vast and profound dharma And remain without passing into nirvana for a hundred eons..I dedicate these virtues to great enlightenment...

In accordance with the extravagant tastes of deities, the artificer has hung a single glittering jewel in each eye of the net, and since the net itself is infinite in dimension, the jewels are infinite in number..There hang the jewels, glittering like stars of the first magnitude, a wonderful sight to behold. If we now look closely at any one of the jewels for inspection, we will discover that in its polished surface are reflected all the other jewels in the net, infinite in number.. Not only that, but each of the jewels reflected in this one jewel is reflecting all the other jewels, so that there is an infinite reflection process occuring..This symbolises our world where every sentient being (and thing) is inter-related to one another"... http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showp...&postcount=373

Quote:
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer (O day star), son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; that made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, everyone in his own house. But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet. Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evil-doers shall never be renowned. Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord." (Isaiah 14:12-22).

The word Lucifer comes from a Latin word meaning, "Light-bringing", a name sometimes given by poets to the Moon, or to the planet Venus when it appears as the morning star and to the day. In ancient times, this word was wrongly interpreted to mean Satan.

The Hebrew meaning of the word seems to be "brilliant", "splendid", "illustrious", or as in the Septuagint, Vulgate, the Rabbinical commentators, Luther, and others, "brilliant star!" and in this sense was the proper name among the Hebrews of the morning star. Tertullian and Gregory the Great understood this passage of Isaiah in reference to the fall of Satan; in consequence of which the name Lucifer has since been applied to Satan; and this is now the usual acceptation of the word.

Dr. Henderson in his Isaiah renders the line: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O illustrious son of the morning!" Dr. Henderson says: "The application of this passage to Satan, and to the fall of the apostate angels, is one of those gross perversions of Sacred Writ which so extensively obtain, and which are to be traced to a proneness to seek for more in any given passage than it really contains."

The only place in the Holy Bible where the word Lucifer is found is in Isaiah. The early church fathers were under the impression that, the passage could only refer to Satan, the prince of darkness. However, Satan in the Bible has no connection with the Lucifer of Isaiah.

Isaiah was figuratively speaking of the king of Babylon in reference to his glory and pomp, but he was actually referring to the destruction of a planet known to the ancient world as the "shining one". Lucifer and its remains are now to be observed in the telescope as the Asteroid Belt.

By a curious chain of reference the passage in Luke 10:18 once was thought to refer to Isaiah 14:12, but this passage says: "I beheld Satan as Lightning fall from heaven." Even though this passage speaks of Satan, Lucifer became the chief of the fallen angels, the name borne by Satan before his rebellion. However, it must be stated again that Satan is in no way connected with Lucifer.

In "The Saucers Speak!" Zo said: "Your so-called Hydrogen Bomb could make an asteroid belt out of you. This happened many years ago to the planet of what you would call the fifth orbit. We knew what they were doing but we didn't interfere. We cannot stand by and see another waste. After their destruction there were terrible disasters on Masar (Mars). Great volcanic eruptions took place. Many of our people perished. We would have been thrown out of this Solar System and lost if we had not quickly constructed two artificial satellites. Some of you scientists have noticed that our so-called moons Phobos and Deimos reflect too much light to be made of earthy substance. They are right. They are metallic in nature. They readjusted our unstable condition and saved a planet."

It is true that the ancient poets knew of the satellites of Mars before their discovery and ancient astrological works mention them. Jonathon Swift in "Gulliver's Travels", 1726, wrote that Mars had two satellites and his complete description of them was most accurate. They were actually discovered as late as 1877 by Asaph Hall of the Naval Observatory in Washington, D. C. How did Swift and all these
other individuals know that Mars had two moons?..

3200 Phaethon is an asteroid with an unusual orbit that brings it closer to the Sun than any other named asteroid (though there are several unnamed asteroids, including three numbered ones, with smaller perihelia.. For this reason, it was named after the Greek myth of Phaëton, son of the sun god Helios.. It is 5.10 km in mean diameter...Phaethon is an asteroid with unusual characteristics in that its orbit looks more like that of a comet than an asteroid, and has been referred to as a "rock comet"...Phaeton (or Phaëton, less often Phaethon) is the name of a hypothetical planet posited to have existed between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter whose destruction supposedly led to the formation of the asteroid belt. The hypothetical planet was named for Phaëton, the son of the sun god Helios in Greek mythology, who attempted to drive his father's solar chariot for a day with disastrous results and was ultimately destroyed by Zeus..The asteroid 3200 Phaethon, sometimes incorrectly spelled Phaeton, shares Phaeton's name. 3200 Phaethon is a Mercury-, Venus-, Earth-, and Mars- orbit crossing Apollo asteroid with unusual properties..Today, the Phaeton hypothesis has been superseded by the accretion model..Most astronomers today believe that the asteroids in the main belt are remnants of the protoplanetary disk, and in this region the incorporation of protoplanetary remnants into the planets was prevented by large gravitational perturbations induced by Jupiter during the formative period of the solar system..

Malonate is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme succinate dehydrogenase: malonate binds to the active site of the enzyme without reacting, and so competes with succinate, the usual substrate of the enzyme..Competitive inhibition is a form of enzyme inhibition where binding of the inhibitor to the active site on the enzyme prevents binding of the substrate and vice versa..An enzyme inhibitor is a molecule that binds to enzymes and decreases their activity. Since blocking an enzyme's activity can kill a pathogen or correct a metabolic imbalance, many drugs are enzyme inhibitors...Theories regarding the formation of the asteroid belt from the destruction of a hypothetical 5th planet are today collectively referred to as the "disruption theory"..In UFO and channelling related sources, such as The Law of One, and also in the Ascended Master Teachings, a group of religions based on Theosophy, Phaeton is referred to as Maldek..Seola (1878), novel by Ann Eliza Smith: mentions the existence of a

"Wan Planet" between Mars and Jupiter, and that its destruction led to the deluge of Genesis...

For millennia, we have followed your progress. For centuries, we have watched you, listened to your radio signals and learned your speech and your culture, and now you have invaded our home. Technological adults, but spiritual and emotional infants, we kept you here, deciding your fate. Had the lower forms of life on our planet destroyed you, we would not have interfered, but you survived. Your civilization has not progressed beyond destruction, war and violence against yourselves and others. Do as you will to your own and to your planet, but remember this warning - do not return to Mars. You will be permitted to leave for this sole purpose. Carry the warning to Earth - "Do not come here." We can and will destroy you - ALL life on your planet - if you do not heed us...http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showp...2&postcount=63

Laputa's population consists mainly of educated people, who are fond of mathematics, astronomy, music and technology, but fail to make practical use of their knowledge. Servants make up the rest of the population..The Laputans have mastered magnetic levitation and discovered the two moons of Mars (which in reality would not be discovered for another 150 years). However, they are unable to construct well-designed clothing or buildings, because they take measurements with instruments such as quadrants and a compass rather than with tape measures..Laputa is a male-dominated society. Wives often request to leave the island to visit the land below; however, these requests are almost never granted because the women who leave Laputa never want to return. The clothes of Laputans, which do not fit, are decorated with astrological symbols and musical figures..

They spend their time listening to the music of the spheres.. They believe in astrology and worry constantly that the sun will go out.. The Laputan houses, he notices, are badly built, without accurate right angles.. The Laputan women are highly sexed and adulterous, preferring men from the island of Balnibarbi.. The Laputan husbands, who are so abstracted in mathematical and musical calculations, don't know that their wives are adulterous..Due to their fervent intellectual pursuits, Laputans are also depicted as becoming so lost in thought that they do not move unless struck by a "bladder", many of their heads have become stuck reclined to one side, and they often suffer from strabismus, also known as heterotropia, is a condition in which the eyes are not properly
aligned with each other..Horizontal deviations are classified into two varieties...

The Music of the Spheres incorporates the metaphysical principle that mathematical relationships express qualities or "tones" of energy which manifest in numbers, visual angles, shapes and sounds – all connected within a pattern of proportion. Pythagoras first identified that the pitch of a musical note is in proportion to the length of the string that produces it, and that intervals between harmonious sound frequencies form simple numerical ratios..In a theory known as the Harmony of the Spheres, Pythagoras proposed that the Sun, Moon and planets all emit their own unique hum (orbital resonance) based on their orbital revolution, and that the quality of life on Earth reflects the tenor of celestial sounds which are physically imperceptible to the human ear.. Subsequently, Plato described astronomy and music as "twinned" studies of sensual recognition: astronomy for the eyes, music for the ears, and both requiring knowledge of numerical proportions..According to Max Heindel's Rosicrucian writings, the heavenly "music of the spheres" is heard in the Region of Concrete Thought, the lower region of the mental plane, which is an ocean of harmony...

Quote:
Müller is a lunar impact crater. It is located in the highlands near the center of the Moon, in the center of the triangle formed by the much larger craters Albategnius, Ptolemaeus, and Hipparchus. To the east lies Halley, while to the northwest is Gyldén..The rim of this crater is irregular and slightly oblong, with the long dimension oriented along a north–south axis. The southeastern rim is notched by two smaller craters identified as Müller A and Müller O..Perhaps the most distinctive feature of this crater is the peculiar linear formation of small craters that starts at the southern edge of Müller's rim. These follow a line to the northwest, tangential to the rim of Ptolemaeus..The German word Müller means "miller" (as a profession).. It is the most common family surname in Germany, Switzerland, and the French départements of Bas-Rhin and Moselle (with the spelling Müller or Muller) and is the 5th most common surname in Austria..The hairdresser Erwin Franz Müller founded his company in Ulm on 5 March 1953..

Dr. J. W. Müller is the evil German psychiatrist whose position and qualifications serve as a cover for more villainous activities, including that of mistreatment of patients, counterfeiting and later criminal mercenary..Hergé considered Müller "a Rastapopoulos figure prepared to risk his own life"..Müller frequently uses profanities such as “Kruzitürken” that are of Bavarian origin, suggesting his background to be Bavarian or Austrian, but he could also be Swiss, South-Tirol Italian or even American..Dr. Müller is based on Dr. Georg Bell, a Nazi counterfeiter of Scottish descent whom Hergé had learned about from the February 1934 issue of Crapouillot, an important source of information for him at the time...

In 2075, underground colonies are scattered across the Moon (Luna), of which most inhabitants (called "Loonies") are criminals, political exiles, or descendants thereof. The total population is about 3 million, with men outnumbering women 2:1, so that polyandry is the norm. Although Earth's Protector of the Lunar Colonies (called the "Warden") holds power, in practice there is little intervention in the loose Lunar society..HOLMES IV ("High-Optional, Logical, Multi-Evaluating Supervisor, Mark IV") is the Lunar Authority's master computer, having almost total control of Luna's machinery on the grounds that a single computer is cheaper than (though not as safe as) multiple independent systems..Mannie names it "Mike" after Mycroft Holmes, brother of Sherlock...

At the beginning of the story, Mannie, at Mike's request, places a recorder in an anti-Authority meeting..When the authorities raid the gathering, Mannie flees with Wyoming ("Wyoh") Knott, a statuesque blonde agitator, whom he introduces to Mike and with whom he goes to see his former teacher, the elderly Professor Bernardo de la Paz, who claims that Luna must stop exporting hydroponic wheat to Earth or its resources will be exhausted.. In connection with this, Mike calculates that if no prevention occurs, there will be food riots in se7en years and cannibalism in nine.. Wyoh and the Professor decide to start a revolution, which Mannie is persuaded to join at Mike's behest..Mannie, Wyoh, and de la Paz thereafter form covert cells, protected by Mike, who adopts the persona of "Adam Selene", leader of the movement, and communicates via the telephone system..

They Live 88 Illuminati Movie Scene Preacher Man and The Hacker..

The situation depicted in the 2nd and 3rd part of the novel resembles the rebellion of the Lunar colony described in another science-fiction novel Time Out of Joint, by PK. Dick.. While the opposition between Earth and Moon echoes the historical conflict between the United States and the British Empire, the way the Lunar rebels force Earth to acknowledge their independence is similar to the one they adopt in Dick's novel (launching missiles, some with nuclear warheads, in an unpredictable fashion)..When discussing the resource loss on Luna and likelihood of ensuing food riots, Professor de la Paz suggests that Mannie read the work of Malthus..His An Essay on the Principle of Population observed that sooner or later population will be checked by famine and disease, leading to what is known as a Malthusian catastrophe.. He wrote in opposition to the popular view in 18th-century Europe that saw society as improving and in principle as perfectible.. He thought that the dangers of population growth precluded progress towards a utopian society: "The power of population is indefinitely greater than the power in the earth to produce subsistence for man"..The lunar action takes place in Mare Crisium and the novel makes accurate references to such nearby locales as Crater Peirce. According to the narrator, most people live in one of 6 major underground "warrens" linked by "tube", a system of underground trains..By the 17th century, Mare Crisium had acquired the name 'Caspian Sea' it occupies roughly the same position on the Moon's face as does the Caspian Sea on Earth, with respect to maps of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East..Mare Crisium is just visible from Earth with the naked eye as a small dark spot on the edge of the Moon's face..It is the site of the crash-landing of Soviet Luna 15 probe.. A soil sample from Mare Crisium was successfully brought to Earth on 22 August 76 by the Soviet lunar mission Luna 24..The English astronomer William Gilbert's map of c.1600 calls it 'Brittania' after Britain...

Lightbulb Crater of Wagner

Quote:
Wagner is an impact crater in the south polar region of the planet Mercury.. It was named after the German composer Richard Wagner (1813–1883) in 1976, as recognized by the International Astronomical Union..It is located in the Bach quadrangle, between Bach and Chopin..Mercury is the smallest and closest to the Sun of the 8 planets in the Solar System, with an orbital period of about 88 Earth days..

Seen from Earth, it appears to move around its orbit in about 116 days, which is much faster than any other planet.. It has no known natural satellites.. The planet is named after the Roman deity Mercury, the messenger to the gods..Mercury's surface is similar in appearance to that of the Moon..
