Lightbulb Is15

Fifteen is a triangular number, a hexagonal number, a pentatope number and the 4th Bell number. Fifteen is the double factorial of 5. It is a composite number; its proper divisors being 1, 3 and 5. With only two exceptions, all prime quadruplets enclose a multiple of 15, with 15 itself being enclosed by the quadruplet (11, 13, 17, 19). 15 is also the number of supersingular primes...Fifteen is the magic constant of the unique order-3 normal magic square...

15 is one of The Numbers – 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 – featured in Lost...A restaurant in London, built by celebrity chef J Oliver...In the Hebrew numbering system, the number 15 is not written according to the usual method, with the letters that represent "10" and "5" (י-ה, yodh and heh), because those spell out one of the Jewish names of God. Instead, the date is written with the letters representing "9" and "6" (ט-ו, teth and vav)......

Lightbulb Om On

O is the fifteenth letter and a vowel in the ISO basic Latin alphabet. The letter was derived from the Semitic `Ayin (eye), which represented a consonant, probably [ʕ](Voiced pharyngeal fricative), the sound represented by the Arabic letter ع called `Ayn. This Semitic letter in its original form seems to have been inspired by a similar Egyptian hieroglyph for "eye"...In mathematics, and more specifically set theory, the empty set is the unique set having no elements; its size or cardinality (count of elements in a set) is zero.

Omicron (uppercase Ο, lowercase ο, literally "small o": Όμικρον, o mikron, micron meaning 'small' in contrast to omega) is the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet...Omicron is frequently used to designate the thirteenth star in a constellation group, using a combination of magnitude and position...Oxygen is a chemical element with symbol O and atomic number 8...

Othello is an adaptation of the Italian writer Cinthio's tale "Un Capitano Moro" ("A Moorish Captain") from his Gli Hecatommithi (1565), a collection of one hundred tales in the style of Boccaccio's Decameron. No English translation of Cinthio was available in Shakespeare's lifetime, and verbal echoes in Othello are closer to the Italian original than to Gabriel Chappuy's 1584 French translation. Cinthio's tale may have been based on an actual incident occurring in Venice about 1508. It also resembles an incident described in the earlier tale of "The Three Apples", one of the stories narrated in the One Thousand and One Nights (Arabian Nights). Desdemona is the only named character in Cinthio's tale, with his few other characters identified only as "the Moor" (Othello), "the squadron leader" (Cassio), "the ensign" (Iago), and "the ensign's wife" (Emilia). Cinthio drew a moral (which he placed in the mouth of Desdemona) that European women are unwise to marry the temperamental males of other nations...

Lightbulb The Universal One

Author, explorer, and 'megalithomaniac' Hugh Newman discussed his work on earth grids and ancient sites, and new discoveries that reveal subtle energies emanating from megaliths such as the pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge and Cusco. He has studied a great earth energy current that runs across Southern England called the Michael & Mary Energy Line. "Somehow the ancients could have been harnessing this global earth energy on a grand scale," utilizing stone circles, mounds, and earthworks all over the planet, he said. There was a major civilization pre-history that used these invisible earth grids, he added...The site at Giza, Egypt appears to be central to the earth grids from a geodetic perspective, and most of the sites around the planet align to Giza, Newman stated. Being near earth energies or ley lines can have a positive or negative effect on a person, depending on what is happening on the line-- different energy signatures can be traveling on the ley line, he explained.

Walter Russell asserted that neither light nor heat flows from one point of space to another. He stated the same of electricity and magnetism; that neither is a flow varying as the inverse of the square of the distance according to Coulomb's Law, but a reproduction as the inverse of the cube of space. "Light does not travel. The light and heat which appear to come from the star or the sun has never left the star or the sun. That which man sees as light and feels as heat is the reproduced counterpart of the light and of the heat which is its cause."

Lightbulb 10

10 is an even natural number following 9 and preceding 11. Ten is the base of the decimal numeral system, by far the most common system of denoting numbers in both spoken and written language. The reason for the choice of ten is assumed to be that humans have ten fingers (digits)...

"By that pure, holy, four lettered name on high,
nature's eternal fountain and supply,
the parent of all souls that living be,
by him, with faith find oath, I swear to thee."

A polygon with ten sides is a decagon, and 10 is a decagonal number. But it is also a triangular number and a centered triangular number.

The Roman numeral for ten is X (which looks like two V's [the Roman numeral for 5] put together); it is thought that the V for five is derived from an open hand (five digits displayed). Incidentally, the Chinese word numeral for ten, is a cross, too:...

The Sculptor Galaxy (also known as the Silver Coin or Silver Dollar Galaxy, NGC 253, or Caldwell 65) is an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Sculptor. The Sculptor Galaxy is a starburst galaxy, which means that it is currently undergoing a period of intense star formation...

A barred spiral galaxy is a spiral galaxy with a central bar-shaped structure composed of stars. Bars are found in approximately two-thirds of all spiral galaxies...

Bacon's cipher or the Baconian cipher is a method of steganography (a method of hiding a secret message as opposed to a true cipher) devised by Francis Bacon. A message is concealed in the presentation of text, rather than its content...Steganography is the art and science of writing hidden messages in such a way that no one, apart from the sender and intended recipient, suspects the existence of the message, a form of security through obscurity...The first recorded uses of steganography can be traced back to 440 BC when Herodotus mentions two examples of steganography in his Histories... Demaratus sent a warning about a forthcoming attack to Greece by writing it directly on the wooden backing of a wax tablet before applying its beeswax surface. Wax tablets were in common use then as reusable writing surfaces, sometimes used for shorthand...Some people have suggested that the plays attributed to William Shakespeare were in fact written by Francis Bacon, and that the published plays contain enciphered messages to that effect...There are Ten Sephirot in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life...In Pythagoreanism, the number 10 played an important role and was symbolized by the tetractys...The tetractys (greek τετρακτύς), or tetrad, is a triangular figure consisting of ten points arranged in four rows: one, two, three, and four points in each row, which is the geometrical representation of the fourth triangular number. As a mystical symbol, it was very important to the secret worship of the Pythagoreans...

Lightbulb D Day

The Cotentin Peninsula, also known as the Cherbourg Peninsula, is a peninsula in Normandy, forming part of the north-western coast of France. It juts out north-westwards into the English Channel, towards Great Britain...To its west lie the Channel Islands and to the southwest lies the Brittany Peninsula...The peninsula formed part of the Roman geographical area of Armorica. The town known today as Coutances, capital of the Unelli, a Gaulish tribe, acquired the name of Constantia in 298 during the reign of Roman emperor Constantius Chlorus. The base of the peninsula, called in Latin the pagus Constantinus, joined together with the pagus Coriovallensis centred upon Cherbourg to the north, subsequently became known as the Cotentin...The migration of Vikings in the ninth century led to the area becoming part of the territory of the Northmen, or Normans, creating Normandy, in the early tenth century...

D DAY...

The town of Valognes was, until the French Revolution, a provincial social resort for the aristocracy, nicknamed the Versailles of Normandy. Little remains of the grand houses and châteaux as a result of the destruction of the Battle of Normandy. The social scene was described in the novels of Jules Barbey d'Aurevilly (himself from the Cotentin)...The region is also famous for its shellfish culture, like the oysters from Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue and Pirou, and the manufacturing of alcoholic beverages like cider and calvados, made from local grown apples and pears...The region hosts two important nuclear power facilities. At Flamanville there is a nuclear power plant, where the second European Pressurized Reactor in the world is being constructed, with commissioning planned for 2012. COGEMA La Hague site, a large nuclear waste reprocessing and storage complex operated by Areva NC, is located a few miles to the north, at Beaumont-Hague. The facility stores all high level waste from the French nuclear power program in one large vault...Naval shipyards are based in Cherbourg. DCNS (controlled by the French Gov.) build the Nuclear submarine fleet since the 1960's...Build fregates and patrolers for various states, mostly from the middle east.Tourism is also an important economic activity in this region. Many tourists visit the D-Day invasion beaches, Utah Beach Being the most western beach of all. Sainte-Mère-Église a few miles away from the beach, very famous for its paratroopers museum.. .

The "cite de la mer" in Cherbourg is dedicated to the underseas. A unique museum where Le Redoutable (first French Nuclear submarine, launched in the 60s) is the main attraction...Rossel's song Sus la mé ("on the sea") is often sung as a regional patriotic song...the 2nd meridian west passes through just west of the Cotentin Peninsula...

Exclamation M 13

Messier 13 or M13 (also designated NGC 6205 and sometimes called the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules or the Hercules Globular Cluster) is a globular cluster of about 300,000 stars in the constellation of Hercules...M13 was apparently discovered by Edmond Halley in 1714, and catalogued by Charles Messier on June 1, 1764...

The Arecibo message of 1974, designed to communicate the existence of human life to hypothetical extraterrestrials, was transmitted toward M13. The reason was that with a higher star density, the chances of a life harbouring planet with intelligent life forms, were believed to be higher. Even though the message was transmitted, M13 will no longer be in that location when it arrives... The sending of the message was more of a technological demonstration, rather than an actual attempt to contact life...

The cardinality of 1679 was chosen because it is a semiprime (the product of two prime numbers), to be arranged rectangularly as 73 rows by 23 columns. The alternative arrangement, 23 rows by 73 columns, produces jumbled nonsense . The message forms the image shown...

Dr. Frank Drake, then at Cornell University and creator of the famous Drake equation, wrote the message, with help from Carl Sagan, among others. The message consists of seven parts that encode the following ...

The numbers one (1) to ten (10)
The atomic numbers of the elements hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and phosphorus, which make up deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)
The formulas for the sugars and bases in the nucleotides of DNA
The number of nucleotides in DNA, and a graphic of the double helix structure of DNA
A graphic figure of a human, the dimension (physical height) of an average man, and the human population of Earth
A graphic of the Solar System
A graphic of the Arecibo radio telescope and the dimension (the physical diameter) of the transmitting antenna dish...

Lightbulb OXO Gene

Omega (capital: Ω, lowercase: ω; Greek Ωμέγα) is the 24th and last letter of the Greek alphabet. In the Greek numeric system, it has a value of 800. The word literally means "great O" (ō mega, mega meaning 'great'), as opposed to omicron, which means "little O" (o mikron, micron meaning "little"). This name is Byzantine; in Classical Greek, the letter was called ō (ὦ), whereas the omicron was called ou (οὖ)...In group theory, the omega and agemo subgroups of a p-group, Ω(G) and ℧(G)...The O in ABO is often called 0 (zero, or null) in other languages...The Rh system is the second most significant blood-group system in human-blood transfusion with currently 50 antigens...Rh negative blood types are much less in proportion of Asian populations (0.3%) than they are in White (15%)...

The symbol Ω (majuscule letter)...In astronomy (cosmology) Ω refers to the density of the universe, also called the density parameter...Part of the Badge of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom...The official badge of the Supreme Court was granted by the College of Arms in October 2008. It comprises both the Greek letter omega (representing finality) and the symbol of Libra (symbolising the scales of justice), in addition to the four floral emblems of the United Kingdom: a Tudor rose, representing England, conjoined with the leaves of a leek, representing Wales; a flax for Northern Ireland; and a thistle, representing Scotland...Yet another emblem is formed from a more abstract set of depictions of the four floral emblems and is used in the carpets of the Middlesex Guildhall. It was designed by Sir Peter Blake, famous for designing the cover of The Beatles' 1967 album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band...The symbol of the resistance movement against the Vietnam-era draft...Year or date of death...Used to refer to the lowest-ranked wolf in a pack...

In gematria, ayin represents the number 70...Ayin is also one of the seven letters which receive special crowns (called tagin) when written in a Sefer Torah. See Shin, Gimmel, Teth, Nun, Zayin, and Tzadi...Because the sound is difficult for most non-Arabs to pronounce, it is often used as a shibboleth by Arabic-speakers; other sounds, such as Ḥā and Ḍād are also used...The Maltese language, which uses a Latin alphabet (and is the only Semitic language to do so in its standard form) writes the ayin as għ...

An OX (plural oxen), also known as a bullock in Australia, New Zealand and India, is a bovine trained as a draft animal. Oxen are commonly castrated adult male cattle; castration makes the animals more tractable. Cows (adult females) or bulls (intact males) may also be used in some areas.

The most common commands are...

Get up: go
Whoa: stop
Back: back up
Gee: turn to the right
Haw: turn to the left

In Chinese mythology there was a story of a cowherd who was lied to by his greedy brother and then believed that the only property he had inherited was an old Ox that could no longer work. Suddenly one day the Ox spoke to the cowherd, claiming to be a heavenly general, the animal then took the young man to a secret place, where he met and fell in love with a beautiful weaving fairy from Heaven. Their secret love affair eventually infuriated the Jade Emperor so much that he summoned the fairy back to Heaven and ordered the lovers to be separated, with the Milky Way between them. Heartbroken, the couple came to see each other day after day, but could only look across a great distance. Finally, their love moved the Heavenly God, who finally granted that they could meet one day each year . The cowherd and the weaving fairy could meet once a year on the seventh day of the seventh moon over a bridge across the Milky Way formed by sympathetic magpies....The Ox is said to have the highest compatibility with the signs, Snake and Rooster, while reportedly showing a low compatibility with the sign, Goat...Ruling hours 1am-3am...Colours Scarlet and Purple...OX FORD...

Lightbulb Bol Was

The road that leads to the centre of Bolton is the A666 which was nicknamed the “Devil’s Highway” due to its number and appalling accident rate. Bolton’s city council renamed the A666 “St. Peter’s Way”, lowered the speed limit, and made safety improvements to reduce the death toll which was three times higher than other motorways in the borough...

Shiprock, a sacred mountain to the Navajo people, is accessed via US 491...

The Navajo name for the peak, Tsé Bitʼaʼí, "rock with wings" or "winged rock", refers to the legend of the great bird that brought the Navajo from the north to their present lands...Permits are issued by the department to camp and hike in some areas, but not for sacred monuments such as Shiprock...The peak is mentioned in stories from the Enemy Side Ceremony and the Navajo Mountain Chant. It is associated with the Bead Chant and the Naayee'ee Ceremony...

U.S. Route 491 (US 491) is a north–south U.S. Highway serving the Four Corners region of the United States. One of the newest designations in the U.S. Highway System, it was created in 2003 as a renumbering of U.S. Route 666 (US 666).

In 1985, the US 66 designation was eliminated, leaving US 666 (and other routes) as "orphans".

Winter Hill is a hill on the border of the boroughs of Chorley, Blackburn with Darwen and Bolton, in North West England. It is located on Rivington Moor, Chorley and is 456 metres (1,496 ft) high. Part of the West Pennine Moors, it is a popular walking area, and has been the setting for mining activity, aeroplane disasters and murders...Its prominent position made it the ideal site for the Winter Hill TV Mast, transmitting to a large part of North West England. There are also a number of other tele-communication masts and towers around the summit and side of the hill for mobile phones, Professional Mobile Radio users and emergency services. Lancashire Constabulary was the first to use the site for one of their base stations in 1950; they had to build the road and it is said to have been built by policemen...

On 27 February 1958, a Silver City Bristol 170 Freighter (G-AICS) travelling from the Isle of Man to Manchester crashed into Winter Hill several hundred yards away from the transmitter. Thirty-five people died and seven were injured...UFOs have been reported on Winter Hill. In 1950, a witness described a "dark flat iron shaped object hovering close to the ground" and an encounter with a being that returned to a craft before disappearing. In 1999, in what became known as the "Murphy Incident", a farmer said he saw an object hovering over his cattle field. On investigation, the object moved away and the farmer reported the incident to the police. The farmer returned to the field and discovered the object had reappeared. He reported the incident to the Manchester Aerial Phenomena Investigation Team (MAPIT), who investigated it. While MAPIT was conducting its investigation, they alleged they were being followed by a man in a vehicle...Winter Hill has the highest television transmitting antenna in the United Kingdom and is higher than Green Hill which is the highest hill in Lancashire...

Lightbulb Dorje Shug

Adherents of Dorje Shugden pray to him to protect their Dharma realizations of wisdom and compassion and gather all conducive conditions for their spiritual practice to succeed...
I beseech you from the depths of my heart, O Supreme Deity,
Please cause the tradition of Je Tsongkhapa to flourish,
Extend the life and activities of the glorious Gurus,
And increase the study and practice of Dharma within the Dharma communities. Please be with me always like the shadow of my body,
And grant me your unwavering care and protection.
Destroy all obstacles and adverse conditions,
Bestow favourable conditions, and fulfil all my wishes.... Through increasing the study, practice, pure discipline, and harmony
Of the communities who uphold the stainless doctrine of Buddha,
And who keep moral discipline with pure minds,
Please cause the Gedän tradition to increase like a waxing moon.
Quote:
The most famous proponent and supporter of the practice of Dorje Shugden in the West, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, explained how Dorje Shugden protects the tradition of Je Tsongkhapa in particular...

Dorje Shugdän is a Dharma Protector who is the manifestation of Je Tsongkhapa. Je Tsongkhapa appears as the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugdän to prevent his doctrine from degenerating. During his life, Je Tsongkhapa founded and established the doctrine of the Ganden oral lineage, which leads living beings to the attainment of permanent liberation from suffering and the supreme happiness of enlightenment very quickly. Of course, Je Tsongkhapa himself takes responsibility to prevent his doctrine from degenerating or from disappearing. He takes responsibility for his doctrine to remain from generation to generation. To do this, since he passed away he continually appears in many different aspects, such as in the aspect of a Spiritual Teacher, who teaches the instructions of the Ganden oral lineage...
The practice starts with prayers to Buddha Shakyamuni, followed by prayers to Je Tsongkhapa (the founder of the Gelug tradition). Practitioners then meditate on Lamrim, Lojong and/or Mahamudra, concluding with prayers to Dorje Shugden to eliminate obstacles to (and create favorable conditions for) the flourishing of Dharma...

Lightbulb Lamb

Craigleith (Scottish Gaelic: Creag Lìte) is a small island in the Firth of Forth off North Berwick in East Lothian, Scotland. Its name comes from the Scottish Gaelic Creag Lìte meaning "rock of Leith"...Craigleith makes up the chain of islands near North Berwick along with Bass Rock, Fidra and The Lamb...The Lamb is flanked by two "sheep dogs" - North and South Dog Islands...The Lamb was previously owned, with North and South Dog Islands by the Brazilian Camilo Agasim-Pereira (Baron of Dirleton and Fulwood)... On 11 February 2009, the island was bought by Uri Geller, who believes that it hides Egyptian Treasure, for £30,000...

Orion and nearby Sirius, the brightest star in the sky, are inextricably linked to both the ancient Egyptian belief system and the mysterious symbolism inherent in today’s bizarre Freemasonic rituals, practiced since the brotherhood’s earliest days, but now little understood—even by Freemasons, themselves...Could the key to what has long been referred to as “The Lost Secrets of Freemasonry” have been hidden in the light of day, east-southeast of Bannockburn, on June 24, 1314?
Quote:
As my boat arrived at its landing point I was more than surprised to see about ten people on the island walking down the small hill towards me. Because Craigleith is uninhabited with no dwellings of any kind, I was also amazed to see a rope ahead of me attached to the side of the rock, acting as a hand rail. "The relevance of all this was soon to become apparent". In the meantime, having landed on Craigleith I watched the Braveheart depart and a RIB arrive to pick up and take the group off the island. Within a few minutes the sound of engines had disappeared and I was left alone.
Craigleith is a laccolith, a lava dome. The Lothians are dotted with evidence of ancient volcanic activity, such as the Bass Rock and Arthur's Seat. It is made up of essexite which is popular for making curling stones...Arthur's Seat is the main peak of the group of hills which form most of Holyrood Park, described by Robert Louis Stevenson as "a hill for magnitude, a mountain in virtue of its bold design". It is situated in the centre of the city of Edinburgh, about a mile to the east of Edinburgh Castle...Many claim that its name is derived from the myriad legends pertaining to King Arthur, such as the reference in Y Gododdin. Some support for this theory may be provided by the fact that several other hilltop and mountaintop features in Britain bear the same or similar names, such as the peak of Ben Arthur (The Cobbler) in the western highlands, sometimes known as Arthur's Seat, and Arthur's Chair on the ridge called Stone Arthur in the Cumbrian lake district...

Lightbulb Three Temples

Historically, Craigleith was a rabbit warren, where the animals were deliberately bred for food. Rabbits were wiped out by myxomatosis in the 1950s...After its discovery in 1896 in imported rabbits in Uruguay, a relatively harmless strain spread quickly throughout the wild populations in South America...In Australia, the virus was first field-tested for population control in 1938. A full-scale release was performed in 1950. It was devastatingly effective, reducing the estimated rabbit population from 600 million to 100 million in two years...

Arrow Royal Mile

Today, the Royal Mile is an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, pubs and historic buildings. During the annual Edinburgh Festival, the High Street becomes crowded with tourists, entertainers and buskers. The Royal Mile is at the heart of Scotland's legal system, being the home of both the High Court of Justiciary and the Court of Session. In January 2012, The City of Edinburgh Council held a summit with residents, traders and other interested organisations to discuss the problems of 'Tartan Tat' taking over the street and how the Royal Mile can be made into a five star visitor attraction...

The 55th parallel serves as the southern boundary of Nunavik territory in Quebec...Nunavik means "place to live" in the local dialect of Inuktitut and the Inuit inhabitants of the region call themselves Nunavimmiut. There are three meteor craters in Nunavik: New Quebec crater, Couture crater, and La Moinerie crater...As a riding, Nunavik would be the second least populous in Quebec, slightly more populous than Îles-de-la-Madeleine, which is able to exist as a separate riding under an exception to the laws on population distribution by riding...

Cairn Lee is a prehistoric monument in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Cairn Lee and proximate Longman Hill are the oldest prehistoric features in the local area...

Cairn Lee from South,a sort of Tardis Portaloo - is it larger on the outside than the inside ?

Macduff is a town in the Banff and Buchan area of Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Macduff is situated on Banff Bay and faces the town of Banff across the estuary of the River Deveron. Macduff is a former burgh and is now the only place in the United Kingdom where deep-water wooden fishing boats are still built...

All the lines suffered from mid-20th century railway cuts, with Macduff station closing by the end of 1961. Macduff has a golf course known as Royal Tarlair. Built on land which ends on precipitous cliffs, lost balls really are lost...
