Default OLDFashion REEL MOWER!! Goin' Green!

THESE things freaking ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

$106 for 16incher ---SCOTTS brand.
I am sure they ALL work good. They come in 20inch too.

I am having so much fun with this damn thing (toy) that I have been MOWING my yard every 48 hours.

My yard looks sharp!!!

MY electric lawn mower BROKE down in the middle of me mowing, and my yard looked like royal shit and I had no back up mower.

I am NOT dumbed down and not about to get a GAS mower. Gross!!

My whole yard is less than 1/4 acre.

Even a half acre this TOY would work fine. I wouldn't go much above that with this gadget though.

I had my electric mower for 4 years now and the FUSE thingy burned out.

If your electric mower trips the breaker box you need a Rectifier =$6.50 part.
NO brainer. I looked at my manual and it seems there are only 3 possible important parts of the full electric mower.
Rectifier, Motor, and rectifier radiator. I guess the 3rd part is important. IDK.

But the REEL mowers rock and so do the electric lawn
mowers.

I can't believe ppl use gas mowers. Nasty.
I understand though if you have a big yard I guess you have to.
So I suspect in England/Europe these old fashioned REEL mowers are popular since ppl live in small spaces.

Here is what I bought :
but I got the 16 inch since it was available for immediate pick up.

YOU just whip this thing out (no pun intended), and it is light weight..
you don't have to mess with a cord, heaviness, gas , oil , spark plugs, and you just MOW away!! IT pushes like it is electric.
IT pushes so easily!!!

These things must becomming more popular since my neighbor said she had been delivering shit loads of them.

I find it really dumb how you get a nice sunny saturday afternoon or morning the only time in the year people actually go in their garden and all you can hear is the noise of lawn mowers and hedge trimmers. Someone finishes and then 10 minutes later the next people decide to do their garden. So another advantage with the manual tools is people can actually enjoy a bit of peace in their gardens.

It looks ok for a small garden, but it would take all day to do a big garden, considering you would have to rake up all the grass as well afterwards.

If you have a big garden you can get rid of some lawn and use it for food production or pond, flowers etc. It is fine to leave the clippings in place. If you cut it a bit longer they disappear into thee grass and break down after a few days if they are not too big clumps and feed the grass so you save on fertilizer costs as well. I would only rake them up if I wanted them to use for compost or something and you can get an attachment to collect the clippings if you want.

YOU call YARDS gardens?

We call them YARDS here in u s a. Gardens are for veggies. lol

Ya I did rake but i didn't really have to.

A half acre is pretty big and you could use this reel up to about that size.
Although recomendations is for 1/4 acre or smaller.
But you would need an electric weed eater too.
I use that too sometimes.

It is kinda loud and moves so ELECTRIC which is weird because there is no motor and no battery.
I just got my part ( new fuse) for my electric lawn mower.

It appears a 2year old would be able to replace it.

I am gonna see if I can do it when i get home.

Electric motors seem way easy compared to gas motors.
