Both teams weren't at their strongest by any means, but there is no such thing as a friendly between those 2 teams. Everton got battered 4-1 by Rennes. The French side causing trouble by calling Everton the other club from Liverpool  Next up for Utd are the reigning European champions Real Madrid, I don't know when they play, and for Liverpool they play Napoli on Saturday. In fact Utd probably play on Saturday as well. 12 days until the start of the season, even less until the transfer window closes. |

The transfer window has closed for bringing players in, but not for selling players. Will any big names be leaving for Spain or Italy in the next 20 days? Liverpool battered West Ham on Sunday, it could have been 8-0. Even with a Man Utd supporting referee giving West Ham virually every decision and free kick.
I think it was the 3rd goal that was offside, but it was at the opposite end of the ground to me so in true Arsene Wenger fashion 'I didn't see it'. It may well go to the wire, I hope it does. Football on the whole doesn't need City running away with it again. I think City, Liverpool, Utd, Chelsea and Spurs will all be pushing for the top spot, but there are rumours that Spurs will be getting docked 4 points for their stadium not being ready and having to use Wembley again. Next round of league games coming up this weekend (obviously), Liverpool play on Monday. I know there is some shitty international friendly coming up soon as well, which always spoils things, does anyone know when it is? |

So the second round of all Premier league games has ended.
As it stands 6 clubs have won 2 out of 2. Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Watford, Spurs and Bournemouth. 4 clubs have lost 2/2. West Ham, Arsenal, Fulham and Huddersfield. I won't bother putting up the table as only 2 games have been played and it means nothing yet. Shock of the round was Brighton ripping Man Utd a new one on Sunday. |
