Thumbs down Children Between the ages of 20 and 29 still living with parents

Quote:
Gone are the days when living at home in your 20s was seen as an embarrassing sign of arrested development. Today, 63 per cent of single adults between the ages of 20 and 29 live with their parents, as do just over half of 25- to 29-year-olds. This inevitably raises issues about how families share costs, and what sort of living standards both older and younger generations can maintain in this arrangement.

At the Centre for Research in Social Policy at Loughborough University, we’ve established a Minimum Income Standard, based on what income members of the public say is necessary for a person to meet their material needs and participate in society. According to our latest research, a single person living on their own in a rented flat needs to earn at least £18,400 a year, rising to £27,000 in London, to reach this minimum standard.

They can't afford to move out. But they can afford 3 holidays a year, a new Iphone every year, a new car on PCP and they're out on the lash every weekend.

No idea where their moneys gone.

House prices are insane in the UK.

Thank Tony Blair and Gordon Brown as they rocketed up when those 2 idiots were in power. These idiots that are in now are propping up the market with help to buy.

I was not allowed to live my life.

If i tried, the stuff being done to me, would of drove me to being homeless, like those uk gov scum wanted in my life.

There are reasons why peoples lifes are not liveable.

If you can live your life, then live it, and be grateful.

Given its a world wide phenomena, who gets the credit for other countries???

THE JOOOOS of course, as money is the root of all evil, those who create money out of NOTHING (that is Quantitative Easing) must be the root cause of this evil too.

It's easier getting all your shopping, laundry and cleaning + meals all prepared for you.
Better than buying take-aways online, and trying to figure out if the clothes go in the dishwasher, or if the plates go in the washing machine. And someone else gets to clean the toilet.

I am nearly 40 (march 11) and I live with my parents. I have always lived with my parents. And I will live with the parents till they are alive.

I would have liked to go living alone when I was 18-20, now I don't care, the best years for the fun are gone by now.

Right. You're winding me up.

It's HAVE not OF. It would HAVE drove you to being homeless.

Fuck sake. If it was up to me you'd be on a basic English course then out teaching the homeless how to speak. Most of them would correct you no doubt.

You being Italian, presumably, is of no surprise.

My wife is Italian. From Perugia. Her parents rent shithole after shithole. My wife and I own ours via mortgage. And she moans like fuck about wanting a bigger place. Little does she realise, despite telling her many times to be thankful, I'm considering increasing the Italian population by 1. Not including the 3rd world immigrants of course.

Any ideas on how to get through to an ungrateful Italian woman?

Incidentally, one minor point. You'll live with your parents until their dead. Otherwise that's a very long wait. Not considering the legal implications. On the plus side you'd be rent free in prison.

well that's who blair and brown were working for

blair went to work for JP Morgan bank when he left politics and rothschild agent peter mandelson acted as the handler for those guys when they were in office

brown sold off our gold on the cheap to the rothschild cabal and blair took us into the iraq war to benefit the zionist enterprise programme for a greater israel

the zionists MURDERED the british civil servant dr david kelly for telling the truth about there being no WMD's in iraq and we, the british people, sat back and did fuck all about it

they murder one of our guys and we just sit back and take it and then how many people on all sides then died in that war? Did the government investigation into that the hutton report jail anyone? No of course not

then the two jewish guys (janner and brittan) at the centre of the westminster pedo scandal both conveniently 'die' before they can be questioned in court ie they have probably been whisked away to israel or somewhere sunny to live out their days in comfort

It's very common throughout Asia that generations live together under the same roof.

It seems like the standards in living are going down and eventually people will be all renting and living like in the Victorian era.

If people have shit jobs on minimum wage or zero hour contracts they won't be able to afford to rent a house or anything.
