Default How many of you have killed your dinner?

Hunting

I Eat meat but yet I’ve never kill anything that i planned on eatting, and I know I’d feel really bad if I did kill an animal. However I know that the meat I eat everyday was alive once so I feel like a hypocrite and if I killed something myself it least it wouldn’t be full of growth hormones and anti bionics.

its simular to orwells double think i suppose

How many of you have killed your dinner?

Only fish, oh, hang on, and one chicken.

Would be ok to do it with a fish again, not so sure about the chicken.

Some fishes years ago. I was fishing with my grandfather, it was disgusting to me, but he forced me. I eat meat, but I don't kill animals, I don't like hurting animals. But from time to time I use violence toward people, there are people who just desurve it.

In the not too distant future, we may all have to do our own hunting if we want to eat meat (insert awful double entendre here).

It is true that fish are much more intelligent than popular theory suggests. I restrict myself to anything that has roots.

Cow, pig, long pig,( not eaten tho ) goat ,deer ,chicken, duck ,pheasant, pussy ( eaten), snake, bugs oohhh and plenty of fish yum. The cows used to shoot them let the man cut them up and swop the meat for fags. Its quite astounding wat you can barter for ciggies !! They have always got them on a liferaft

A difficult diet at best, even in these days of supermart frenzied choice.

Certainly not one that appeals to the more carnivor-minded omnivore such as me..

Such a diet wouldn't have been an option for our hunter-gatherer ancestors.

Vegetarians would have been extinct

I dont have a problem with the vegatarians that dont eat meat becouse they dont agree with the slaughter industry but the ones that say eating meat is unnatural are living in la-la land. None of them have yet explained how we would of clothed ourselves as hunter gatherers without the benefit of meat. Twig and leaf shirts perhaps...

Default killed own dinner...

i have... once.

a fat pegion* spelling* had been knocked out of a tree by a milk tanker that i was following down a country lane.

it had two broken wings and its leg bones were smashed. I knew it was in agony so i decided i had to put it out of its misery. I rang its neck. It was a really emotional/scary thing to do. but i did it.

i took it home for the pot and it felt wierd eating something that i had killed. But at least i managed to do it.

i dont eat meat anymore, as i cant be sure of the way the animal has died (stress etc) even if it has been raised to a high welfare standard... you cant be sure of its mannor of death.

No but got close though. I was camping & playing airsoft a few months ago. So tired and hungry we placed down snares and some bait. We came back the next day to find our bait gone lol. If i had a shotgun on me we could have had 2 fat pigeons .

No-one should eat anything that they would not be prepared to kill themselves.

Default Yep

Deer, antelope, moose, elk, wild birds, and plenty of wild fish... you'll never feel more healthier than when on a diet like that.
