Last mag I ever bought was a copy of airgun world, infact I have all coppies right up until 10 years ago just sitting here, and was only looking through them a couple of weeks ago to see how far this technology has come, truly staggering prices for stuff and the high tech stuff involved just to shoot a pellet worth less than a penny.

"Inside Llewlen Davis" - like most Coen brothers films, this one very different from any other,. set amidst the backdrop of Greenwich Village in the Kennedy era of early 1960's, traces the fortunes of a struggling folk musician playing int the clubs frequented By the young Bob Dylan & co. this film will appeal to any fans of "A cat Named Bob" as the protagonist spends half the film travelling, performing, losing, searching and re finding his lifelong companion ~ his cat !

Finally got hold of a cheapie copy of "They Live" from a CEX shop. I can see why David Icke likes it so much, the protagonist even looks like him ( more subliminalism ?) The film does fall a bit short of itself, overusing violence as the hero solves the problem with a pump action shotgun wherever he goes, as if it were that simple (not so much truth vibrations versus reptile but shotgun cartridges versus reptile which defeats the object somehow), it also includes probably the longest fist fight in movie history, between the hero and his unpersuadable black buddy which is almost slapstick. Had someone like Ridley Scott directed it instead, the theme may have got better treatment as to who, how and why "THEY" are as opposed to yet just another beat-'em-up, shoot-'em-up movie). Very final scene is hilarious like something from Kentucky Fried Movie. Still worth watching for its ideas, though.
