Nobody said prefers. Don’t surmise and fill in your own blanks. I never said porn was a substitute for the real thing.

The same can also be said of women too, I've known plenty of women that have ventured across to the grass on the other side...

I'm actually surprised this many people said yes what is the benefit in banning it? what's bad about it? it helps young single guys like myself get a quick fix when we need it sometimes your imagination isn't the best for this sort of thing lol ;p i think it would also probably reduce sex crimes by a small margin at least

Oh dear the ban brigade have to be one step ahead of TPTB at all times it seems.

Those at the top who would have us obediently serving them, must be drooling at the prospect of us offering up our freedom to watch naked ladies and for the ladies to be naked and get paid for it,

This really is playing right into their hands.

Doesn't matter to them a jot either because if porn is their thing then they will still get to watch it.

As for the reason people watch it, who cares it's their choice, and above all it should remain their choice.

Who gets to decide what you can and can't watch, and after they've banned porn what is the next thing that is banned because it is deemed harmful?

Watching online porn is a bit like phoning up a restaurant and asking them to read out the menu over the 'phone to you then not going out to eat there.
I'm anti censorship but pro anything that makes it more difficult for kids to access online porn as easily as they seem to be able to do at present.

Really? I'm suprised that so many people in such an ''enlightened'' place as this say no. Well, actually come to think of it I'm not in the least bit suprised, given the level of conversation half the time. So many people around here don't have a clue in so many things, knowing the psychological impact that porn can and often does have on families and individuals is clearly one of them things. Especially young folk who obviously don't know any better. Internet porn has long been a weapon that your predator uses against you, for a number of reasons. This isn't the time for young men to be occupied watching internet porn, no, this is a time where young men need to get a clue and a f*****g grip of themselves, young women too. Why do you think porn is all over the internet? For your own good? Anybody who thinks that internet porn is for their own good is quite insane IMO. Ever heard of the term bread and circuses... I guess not? Well, hello... It's hardly rocket science anyway is it. The practice of providing citizens for free as well as some costly other distractions and other forms of entertainment, as a means of gaining political power through populism and misdirection. Authorities provided free wheat to the peasants as a superficial means of appeasing the masses and distracting them from the fact that public policy and public service had failed, as corruption and decadence engulfed those in control of government. Free bread, chariot races, and other games or trivial persuits kept the small-minded peasants satisfied and ignorant of their civic duty. Today, the authorities don't hand out bread they give you free pornography, beer and football instead. Get it? Does that answer your question sufficiently?

I'm actually at a complete loss as to why so many people around here can't grasp these simple concepts. To me it's like that simple game for children where they hammer blocks through a board depending on their shape, the square must go through the square hole and the child learns very quickly. Seemingly there's a fair few people on this forum that are trying to hammer triangles into the circles. It's quite absurd tbh. Bann it I say, or at least substantially limit it. It could also benefit from being run by women rather than pig headed perverts, for the benefit of both sexes.

See that’s the real problem, when you get misguided youngsters who grow up with a warped prospective of what sex should be and then later in life when they get an opportunity to perform they try and give their date it up the chuff on their first date.

The problem is not porn on the internet its educating people in acceptable social behaviour.

Yes look everybody, ''I watch online porn all the time it's great and I love it'' and look how much respect I have for me fellow man. I'm not a wanker, because watching online porn doesn't involve having a box of tissues at hand on my computer desk

Long before there was online porn, my parents made sure I got to see lots of it when I was a little girl. How else would I know my role in society?

Would you care to elaborate?

I don't like porn, but once you start with banning things from the internet you're opening up a Pandora's Box. What comes eventually - should we ban conspiracy sites from the internet? (etc etc).

Protecting kids - parents should do it.
Porn addictions - have some fucking restraint.

I'm sick of things being banned and taken away just because a few morons cannot deal with the consequences of their own actions.

A porno ban would show a clear message to the sick distributers no one wants their muck. Also a link could link another link that includes what jimmy savile liked. Online porn a murky world.

I don't have disgusting fantasies!! They're not fantasies once they've been acted upon

Too much too soon robs kids of their childhood and the papers have been full of late about how kids are becoming sexualised much younger than they did in the past.
Porn objectifies relationships down to the old bump and grind. Adults can see that and there's no harm in porn for them as wants it but kids can't make the same calls and if they see porn then think that's what getting it on is all about then, as you say...
