This same test was posted like last summer too.. I remember there being a very unusual amount of INFP's here.

This is what I posted in the last thread with this quiz:

I scored the same (INTP) this time around as well, and again, my thinking score was only 1! lol

What would it mean if you got another result a year later I wonder?

The other thread also came with this slightly different personality test:

http://www.41q.com/

I got the "Dreamy Idealist" and INFP on that one.

hmm.. I'm not really sure.

I mean... no tests can really be seen as black & white indicators. The difference could just be from a slightly different mood during the test I guess. Also, the categories seem to flow into another category... For example, someone with a low 'thinking' score is probably closer to being a 'feeler' than most 'thinkers' are... so yeah, it's not totally black & white.

As I pointed out above, I seem to go back and forth between INTP and INFP.

Yeah, last time I took that test I was ENFP, I was more extrovert last time hehe! Definitely subject to change.

I did the same type of test but with different questions on a different website and got the same result:

INFJ

The Protector

You live your life with integrity, originality, vision, and creativity.
Independent and stubborn, you rarely stray from your vision - no matter what it is.
You are an excellent listener with almost infinite patience.
You have complex feelings, and you take great care to express them.

In love, you see relationships as an opportunity to connect and grow.
You enjoy relationships when they are improving and changing. You can't stand stagnation.

At work, you stay motivated and happy... as long as you are working toward a dream you support.
You would make a great photographer, alternative medicine guru, or teacher.

How you see yourself: Hardworking, ethical, and helpful

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Manipulative, weak, and unstable

Yeah, I got INFP on that one.

"You are a creative person with a great imagination. You enjoy living in your own inner world.
Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.
It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close to you.
But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

In love, you tend to have high (and often unrealistic) standards.
You are very sensitive. You tend to have intense feelings.

At work, you need to do something that expresses your personal values.
You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.

How you see yourself: Unselfish, empathetic, and spiritual

When other people don't get you, they see you as: Unrealistic, naive, and weak "

INFJ

You are:
very expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed feeling personality
slightly expressed judging personality

I read the description for the ISTJ type and that suits me better. I would prefer to have a rare type but I think only bits of it apply to me whereas the ISTJ type is almost spot on.

One of the hardest bits when doing the test is trying not to answer - what you think the answer should be - rather than how it really is. Caught myself at it. <(that dont sound right)

INFJ - I thought I was going to be rare when I read the first post
but obviously not...

moderately expressed introvert

moderately expressed intuitive personality

distinctively expressed feeling personality

moderately expressed judging personality

John Bradshaw , Mother Teresa , Nelson Mandela , John Calvin , Nicole Kidman

Oh no, my husband was right - he always said I'd make a good librarian...

But social work, science or psychologist.... I don't think so.

I'm an artist , so they did at least have that career right - at the bottom of the page..

What is the difference between feelings and intuition though?
I get feelings about things and I trust them as part of my intuition.

Interesting anyway thanks.

My employer sent us off for this about 12 years ago. I came out as ISTJ but I disagree with that. There is no way I could be a bank manager, debt collector, lawyer etc.

I'd rather tear my fingernails out. LOL

INFP

Healers present a calm and serene face to the world, and can seem shy, even distant around others. But inside they're anything but serene, having a capacity for personal caring rarely found in the other types. Healers care deeply about the inner life of a few special persons, or about a favorite cause in the world at large. And their great passion is to heal the conflicts that trouble individuals, or that divide groups, and thus to bring wholeness, or health, to themselves, their loved ones, and their community.

Healers have a profound sense of idealism that comes from a strong personal sense of right and wrong. They conceive of the world as an ethical, honorable place, full of wondrous possibilities and potential goods. In fact, to understand Healers, we must understand that their deep commitment to the positive and the good is almost boundless and selfless, inspiring them to make extraordinary sacrifices for someone or something they believe in. Set off from the rest of humanity by their privacy and scarcity, Healers can often feel even more isolated in the purity of their idealism.

Also, Healers might well feel a sense of separation because of their often misunderstood childhood. Healers live a fantasy-filled childhood-they are the prince or princess of fairy tales-an attitude which, sadly, is frowned upon, or even punished, by many parents. With parents who want them to get their head out of the clouds, Healers begin to believe they are bad to be so fanciful, so dreamy, and can come to see themselves as ugly ducklings. In truth, they are quite OK just as they are, only different from most others-swans reared in a family of ducks.

At work, Healers are adaptable, welcome new ideas and new information, are patient with complicated situations, but impatient with routine details. Healers are keenly aware of people and their feelings, and relate well with most others. Because of their deep-seated reserve, however, they can work quite happily alone. When making decisions, Healers follow their heart not their head, which means they can make errors of fact, but seldom of feeling. They have a natural interest in scholarly activities and demonstrate, like the other Idealists, a remarkable facility with language. They have a gift for interpreting stories, as well as for creating them, and thus often write in lyric, poetic fashion. Frequently they hear a call to go forth into the world and help others, a call they seem ready to answer, even if they must sacrifice their own comfort.

Introverted Intuitive Feeling Judging

Beneath the quiet exterior, INFJs hold deep convictions about the weightier matters of life. Those who are activists -- INFJs gravitate toward such a role -- are there for the cause, not for personal glory or political power.

INFJs are champions of the oppressed and downtrodden. They often are found in the wake of an emergency, rescuing those who are in acute distress. INFJs may fantasize about getting revenge on those who victimize the defenseless. The concept of 'poetic justice' is appealing to the INFJ."There's som..
