Arrow >>Ancient Cathedral Found Underground Amazing

It's a smaller version of those built 800 years ago in Europe...But this one is much older.

Most Cathedrals weren't built 500 years ago but most were started in the 12th or 13th century.

This cave looks like some kind of Freemason or Hell Fire club type thing......It's a pastiche. A copy of gothic architecture...... extremely doubtful it's older than a real gothic cathedral or church.... Likely just a folly or something.

You are probably right but one would think there was a way to date the thing..

What was the glue made of , etc.....The symbols on the walls look vague ...
Like they were more like random designs rather than real symbols....

But 4.6 million shells is a lot of work for a folly.....

The cave appears to be carved out of solid rock...

If they glued 500 shells per day it would take 9200 days to glue or cement

4.6 million shells....9200 days is over 25 years ....

Not sure if there is a masonic connection here, but here is a series of tunnels that nobody really knows who and why they were build for. Some say it was to keep people in work but that would be rather expensive indeed.

But 500 shells per day is a ridiculously low estimate. That's (very slightly over) one shell per minute for an 8-hour working day.

Say 4 people were setting shells, with one mixing mortar/cement, and one more collecting spare shells (assuming the bulk were collected during carving/prior to work on setting the shells), you're talking 8 seconds per shell at an absolute maximum (more like 4 or 5 seconds in reality), that's 3600 shells per setter per day, or 14,400 per day.

4.6 million shells would take 320 8-hour working days for 6 labourers (two of whom are involved in ancillary jobs, rather than the setting itself).
