Now that's a scaredy-cat! Hilarious moment terrified feline is chased away by a RAT it was trying to catch
The black cat initially chased the rat down but the tables were soon turned on it
The rat was clearly in no mood to put up with the feline and lunged at the animal
Chasing it down the road, the rodent didn't let the stunned cat get away from it

Adorable baby sloth is being raised by Florida zookeepers after its mother rejected it
A Linnaeus's two-toed sloth was born on October 17 at the Brevard Zoo in Brevard County, Florida, a first for the facility
Its mother, Tango, showed no interest in her newborn, which is now being hand-reared by zookeepers
Baby sloths often cling to their mothers so zoo staff gave the newborn a choice of materials; it ironically chose a sloth blanket from the zoo gift shop
Zookeepers have not been able to determine the sloth's sex, for which laboratory testing is sometimes needed, so no name has been chosen yet

It’s Official: Bumble Bee Species Declared Officially Endangered

The rusty patched bumble bee gained federal protection Tuesday after the Trump administration removed its hold on listing the species as endangered.

The listing, the first time a bumble bee species in the U.S has received protection under the Endangered Species Act, follows an 87% decline in the species population since the late 1990’s, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). Rusty patched bumble bees now remain in just 13 states, down from 28.

The endangered species classification was supposed to take effect in mid-February by order of the Fish and Wildlife Service under former President Obama, but the Trump administration pushed back the date to March, calling for further review following complaints from agriculture and other industry groups. Tuesday’s decision to list the bumble bee species as endangered came after the National Resources Defense Council sued over the delay last month.

UK trophy hunters have killed HUNDREDS of elephants and shipped more than 700 tusks back to this country by exploiting legal loophole
Government criticised for breaking a promise made in 2015 to ban lion trophies
A source close to Environment Secretary said it was 'sympathetic' to trophy ban
A public body has been asked to look into ban following action by celebrities

Nearly two tons of elephant ivory has been shipped into Britain over the past decade by hunters exploiting a legal loophole to bring back tusks as trophies of their controversial kills.

A shocking 729 elephant tusks and body parts are among the gruesome catalogue, including 400 trophies from the world’s most endangered species.

The animals are slaughtered by hunters who spend tens of thousands of pounds on safari expeditions.

A three and a half tonne UNICORN roamed the Earth with prehistoric humans 39,000 years ago before being wiped out by the Ice Age
Elasmotherium sibiricum is known as the Siberian Unicorn and is a woolly rhino
It was previously thought to have died out 200,000 -100,000 years ago
Analysis of fossils and DNA extraction found it actually lived far more recently
The 3.5-tonne beast was a herbivore and lived alongside prehistoric humans
Siberian unicorn split from modern group of rhinos roughly 43 million years ago

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...ic-humans.html

THE WOOLLY RHINOCEROS AND THE ANCIENT TUNDRA ENVIRONMENT
The woolly rhinoceros is an extinct species of rhinoceros that was common throughout Europe and northern Asia during the Pleistocene (stock)

The woolly rhinoceros is an extinct species of rhinoceros that was common throughout Europe and northern Asia during the Pleistocene epoch and survived the last glacial period.

The last of the species is thought to have died out around 10,000 years ago.

In the Pleistocene epoch, the woolly rhino roamed across Europe and Asia from Scotland and Spain in the west, to South Korea in the east.

It was well adapted to its environment, with stocky limbs and a thick woolly fleece to suit the icy tundra.

Previous studies using DNA from the ancient creatures have found that its closest modern relative is the Sumatran rhino.

Based on skeletons and cave paintings, scientists believe that adult woolly rhinos were up to 13ft (4metres) long and weighed as much as 4,400lbs (2,000kg).

The two horns on the skull were made of keratin - the longest being 24 inches (61cm) - and the woolly rhinoceros used them for defensive purposes and to attract mates, but spent most of its time grazing on grasses.

The reason for their extinction around 10,000 years ago is not fully understood, but like woolly mammoths, they may have been over-hunted by early man and affected by the receding Ice Age and the spread of disease.

UK’s first vegan and vegetarian cannabis restaurant to launch today

Read more at: https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/uk...6Yar9m7lZzjMNE

The founders of what is being dubbed Britain's first vegan and vegetarian cannabis restaurant dreamed up the idea in a bid to ‘redress outdated stereotypes’ about the plant. Sam Evolution wants his new venture Canna Kitchen to ‘educate society’ and said it will open the eyes of customers so they experience the plant in new forms and no longer view it as simply a recreational drug.

DEA Slapped in Face: American Epilepsy Society Accepts Marijuana Extract Obliterates Seizures in Epileptic Children

http://cbdcureguide.com/2018/11/25/d...bDD1RgTInQcVkA

As the United States Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) continues to display its arrogance, refusing to remove marijuana from schedule 1 of the Control Substance Act (CSA), thanks to certified professional bodies in the country, more and more details on medical efficacy of the plant is being revealed.

On August 11, 2016 the DEA turned down two petitions. One was from the governors of Rhode Island and Washington, and the other from a resident of New Mexico, requesting that marijuana be removed from Schedule I of the CSA. The removal from schedule I would have ensured that official scientific research is carried on the plant, across the United States.
