Default Hellish hairy sea monster cast ashore

There must be some normal explanation for this thing. Came across it via 'justice for all''s House of Cards thread in the Todays News section.

5-odd photos, ‘partially decomposed’.

is this similar to Hag's find here?

Doesn't look quite edible, whatever it is

Awesome! Sad that it's dead, though.

With all respect I wouldn't believe anything Pravda reports. They are akin to those tabloids one finds at the supermarket check out.

A few weeks ago Pravda reported a 'strange sea creature' found on Russian shores. It was a horseshoe crab for pete's sake!

It's the lower jaw of a baleen whale, the "Hairs" are the sieves which catch the krill. Maybe it was thrown out by a Japanese whaling boat being of little value or the whale was attacked and the predators didn't fancy that bit.

Not at all, a blue whale can be up to 100 feet long and the head part is massive, here is a life size model.

Ridges and all.

I love Pravda! But they are a bit Fortean Times-ish on occasions.

RIP whale.

Weird looking thing! Im unsue that it's a whale, (could be totaly wrong ) It dose have similar characteristics, but if so what species of whale?

Quote from photo 3

"The scientists who examined the creature said that they had already seen such animals before, but they have no clue to their definition"

Could be an unknown species, an ocean floor dwelling creature or some sort of manatee. The scientists who examined are aware of it's existence (having seen them before) dose anyone know of any other storys of these things, from previous finds?
