Here Are 12 of the Left’s Worst Recent Attacks on Conservatives
By Gov't Slaves on 10/11/2018

Threats and intimidation against conservatives have been flowing out of the so-called Resistance ever since President Donald Trump won an upset victory in the 2016 election, but the tactic increasingly is getting the imprimatur of top Democrats.

This week alone, the former secretary of state and former attorney general endorsed hostility toward Republicans.

Hillary Clinton, who lost to Trump in the 2016 election, told CNN on Tuesday that civility toward Republicans cannot return until Democrats regain power by taking the majority in either the House or Senate, or both, in the 2018 election.

Eric Holder, who was the chief law enforcement officer under President Barack Obama, told supporters of Georgia’s Democratic nominee for governor that they should “kick ’em” when Republicans “go low.”

Those exhortations follow remarks Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) that members of Trump’s administration should not have peace and that people should get in their faces at gas stations, restaurants or wherever they may see them.

Often, Democratic leaders make sure, as Holder did on Wednesday, to add disclaimers that they do not condone violence.

But House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), the most prominent victim of political violence in the Trump era, expressed worry about the current tone of American politics and its potential for tragedy. He reflected Thursday in a Fox News op-ed on his experience getting shot last year at a practice of the Republican congressional baseball team.

“As a survivor of a politically motivated attack, it is tragic to think this is an acceptable state of political discourse in our country,” he wrote.

James Hodgkinson, who volunteered for the 2016 presidential campaign of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, shot Scalise and three others before Capitol police offers killed him in return gunfire. He reportedly had a “hit list” of Republican members of Congress in his pocket.

Scalise suggested that some Democrats are behaving irresponsibly.

“Beginning with my own near-death experience at the hands of a deranged shooter who sought to assassinate a baseball field of Republicans, there is a growing list of violent or threatening actions taken against conservatives by Democrats,” he wrote.

While the Scalise shooting is the most chilling incident, the list of harassment against Republicans is long and growing. It includes — potentially — an assault that seriously injured Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) as he was cutting his grass. The man who carried out the attack, a neighbor Bowling Green, pleaded guilty to assault and served 30 days in jail.

He has denied political motivations. Paul is not so sure. He and his wife, Kelly Paul, also have received other threats that have led to arrests. Kelly Paul told Fox News that she now sleeps with a loaded gun.

It also includes an incident in which a staffer of Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) stands accused of hacking into the congressional computer system and publishing personal information of Republicans on the Senate Committee on the Judiciary while they were considering the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Here are some other recent incidents, documented by Scalise and culled from other news sources:

1.) The owner of the Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia, kicked White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her dining party out of the establishment earlier this year and followed them across the street where they headed to a different eatery.

2.) Demonstrators in June accosted Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Kirstjen Nielsen and others who were eating lunch at a Mexican restaurant. They hovered over her table shouting, “Shame.”

3.) Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and his wife fled an Italian restaurant in the nation’s capital last month shouting, “We believe survivors.”
Kavanaugh’s wife and children received multiple threats during the confirmation process.

4.) Personal information of Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Mike Lee (R-Utah), including their home addresses and cell phone numbers, were made public by former Democratic congressional staffer Jackson Cosko. Cosko now faces federal felony charges for “doxxing” the senators.

5.) Dana Loesch, a spokeswoman for the National Rifle Association (NRA), received death threats against her children on Twitter.

6.) A protester who works for a left-wing activist organization trapped Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) in an elevator berating him about sexual-assault survivors just before the judiciary committee voted on the nomination.

'City of Surveillance': Google-backed smart city sounds like a dystopian nightmare
Published time: 24 Oct, 2018 21:43
Edited time: 24 Oct, 2018 21:52

A Google-backed project to build the interconnected, data-driven ‘city of the future’ sounds like all George Orwell’s nightmares come true, and is now in the spotlight after a privacy expert resigned from the project in protest.

Toronto’s Waterfront district used to be an industrial wasteland, but Sidewalk Labs – a sister company of Google – wants to turn that wasteland into a prototype ‘city of the future,’ where data helps planners micromanage every aspect of urban life. The planned Quayside neighborhood will house 5,000 people when built, expanding to host another 5,000 within three to four years, its creators say.

In running the neighborhood as efficiently as possible, Sidewalk Labs will utilize a range of innovative technologies. Sensors will manage street crowds and time traffic signals appropriately, cameras will watch over parks and public spaces, planners will be able to track the movement of every vehicle, person and drone, and garbage cans will monitor their owners’ trash to optimize waste management.

All of these data points will be fed into a database Sidewalk Labs calls its ‘Digital Layer,’ used by planners to monitor and tweak the neighborhood’s running, and then stored in a repository it calls the ‘Civic Data Trust.’ Nobody will own the data stored in the trust, and the trust’s board will decide who can access it.

That’s where the problems begin. Sidewalk Labs’ privacy consultant Ann Cavoukian had requested that the company scrub the residents’ data of all personal information, a request that Sidewalk Labs agreed to. However, the company said it would not require other parties with access to the trust to ‘de-identify’ any data collected, it would only “encourage” them to.

“When I heard that, I said, ‘I’m sorry. I can’t support this. I have to resign because you committed to embedding privacy by design into every aspect of your operation,’” Cavoukian told Global News, before severing her ties with the company on Friday.

Documents related to Obama-era “Operation Choke Point” show government was extorting lawful businesses like mafia mobsters
Sunday, October 28, 2018 by: JD Heyes

Court documents unsealed earlier this month provide ample evidence that the Obama administration’s “Operation Choke Point” program pressured financial institutions into cutting ties with lawful businesses, including gun dealers, in ways the Mafia could only dream of getting away with.

According to a news release from the Community Financial Services Association of America (CFSA), “top government officials and federal agencies” worked to push banks and other lending institutions into financially punishing businesses and industries the Obama White House opposed on political grounds.

“More than 100 records expose depositions and damaging emails of government officials, most notably at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), who executed a secretive campaign against lawful businesses it disfavored while ignoring due process and subverting the legal and regulatory process,” the CFSA news release reported.

The association noted that the “illegal campaign” involved, among other tactics, threats from senior government agencies and officials that financial institution staff could be fired or even subjected to criminal prosecution if they didn’t comply with the Obama regime’s ‘recommendations.’

The documents show that the operation was implemented at the highest levels of the FDIC and was carried out “ruthlessly and enthusiastically” by field operatives, the news release said.

“These documents reveal a shocking abuse of power and conspiracy to single out an industry and bring it to its knees, something far away from a regulatory agency’s requirement to proceed according to the rule of law and due process,” said Dennis Shaul, CEO of the Community Financial Services Association of America (CFSA).

“Despite hearing statements to the contrary from government officials for years, these records prove that there was an intentional and targeted campaign to carry out an illegal policy. If personal preference and subjectivity is the guide for regulation, an awful precedent is set and there is no end to the interests that can be targeted – pro-choice groups, environmental causes, religious groups and many more,” Shaul added.

The real objective was gun control

How Google wipes Palestine off the map
Google's dedication to Israel's occupation can be seen in its maps and its refusal to recognise the reality of Israel’s apartheid system for Palestinians
October 30, 2018 at 9:03 am
Asa Winstanley
@AsaWinstanley

Like the other Silicon Valley monopolies, Google habitually takes the side of Israeli occupation and war crimes in Palestine – the very term Palestine is not used by their highly influential maps app.

A new report by a Palestinian human rights group last month exposed the depths of Google’s dedication to the Israeli occupation.

With a known history documented back more than 3,200 years, the name “Palestine” is the only term continuously used for the entire territory of the country lying between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

Palestine is the most historically accurate term. But since 1948, when Zionist militias expelled the majority of the Palestinian population from the country by force, a new state, “Israel”, was established.

That state has never declared its borders.

Consequentially, when speaking about “Israel” it is unclear exactly what territory is being referred to. But Zionists of both the right and the “left” commonly claim the entire historic territory of Palestine as the “Land of Israel.”

The new report, by 7amleh (Hamleh), a Palestinian organisation advocating online rights, details how Google seems to almost go out of its way to eradicate the reality of Palestinian life.

In 2016, Google came under fire from Palestinians on social media when the terms “West Bank” and “Gaza” disappeared from Google Maps. Google said that the removal of these terms was down to a glitch and that they had never used the word Palestine in the first place.

(The West Bank and Gaza Strip are regions of Palestine that are important, since they represent the remaining Palestinian territories which Israel failed to occupy in 1948. In 1967, however, Israel took over those too.)

“Through its mapping and labelling,” the 7amleh report explains, “one can deduce that Google Maps recognises the existence of Israel, with Jerusalem as its capital, but not Palestine.”

There are further aspects of the way Google has wiped Palestinian life off the map though. As the 7amleh report maps in some detail, Palestinian villages in the Naqab (Negev desert) deemed “unrecognised” by Israel (inside of what is sometimes termed “Israel proper” – the territories of Palestine occupied in 1948) are not properly mapped by Google.

These villages are only visible in Google Maps “when zooming in very closely,” the report explains, “but otherwise appear to be non-existent. This means that when looking at Google Maps, these villages appear to be not there.”

The report details how small Israeli villages are “displayed even when zoomed-out, while unrecognised Palestinian Bedouin villages, regardless of their size are only visible when zooming in very closely.”

Israel demolishes Al-Araqeeb for 135th time, arrests residents

This is despite the fact that there “are in total 46 Bedouin villages in the Naqab, the majority of which existed before Israel’s creation in 1948. Some claim to have existed since the 7th century.”

Israel has repeatedly attempted to physically remove these villages, but has repeatedly failed, thanks to the resistance of the Palestinians who live there, and thanks also to national and international solidarity shown to those villages.

Their Israeli (lack of) status as “unrecognised” also means that the state refuses to connect the villages to basic services like water and electricity – despite the fact that nearby Israeli-Jewish settlements are given all the support possible.

As Basma Abu-Qwaider, one Palestinian Naqab villager, explains in the report:

Google Maps acts in a discriminatory manner towards the unrecognised village the same [way] as the Israeli government does. Google ignores the existence of these villages just like Israel and for me if you do not exist on the map it means that you are invisible and that’s exactly what Israel wants us to be.

This solidarity with Israeli racism expressed by Google’s helpful attitude towards Israel’s wiping of Palestinians quite literally off the map extends across the 1967 “Green Line” ceasefire boundary.

Palestinian villages even within the “West Bank” area of the Jordan Valley are not properly mapped by Google either. The report documents that while Israeli settlements “can be seen when looking at the larger area of the map” some Palestinian villages are only visible when zoomed in – and even that only as a result of pressure being put on by a human rights organisation.

Google also refuses to recognise or map the reality of Israel’s apartheid roads system for Palestinians.

Khan Al-Ahmar resident: ‘We are imprisoned here’

As part of Israel’s ongoing settler-colonisation of Palestine, large parts of the West Bank – which is ruled by Israeli military decree – are prohibited access for Palestinians. Many roads are reserved for the use of Jews only.

Despite the illegality of these practices under international law, Google’s route-planning apps do not designate Israeli settlements in the West Bank as illegal.

7amleh’s report concludes: “Google Maps, as the largest global mapping and route planning service, has the power to influence global public opinion and therefore bears the responsibility to abide by international human rights standards and to offer a service that reflects the Palestinian reality.”

Google should be compelled to end its complicity with Israeli racism and apartheid.

Weaponised immigration

Its all part of the ideological plan of the elites...

Replacement Migration:
Is It a Solution to Declining and Ageing Populations?

United Nations projections indicate that over the next 50 years, the populations of virtually all countries of Europe as well as Japan will face population decline and population ageing. The new challenges of declining and ageing populations will require comprehensive reassessments of many established policies and programmes, including those relating to international migration.

Focusing on these two striking and critical population trends, the report considers replacement migration for eight low-fertility countries (France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Russian Federation, United Kingdom and United States) and two regions (Europe and the European Union). Replacement migration refers to the international migration that a country would need to offset population decline and population ageing resulting from low fertility and mortality rates.

Austria rejects UN migration pact to 'defend national sovereignty'
By Agence France-Presse

31 October 2018 • 5:09pm

Austria said on Wednesday it will not sign a United Nations migration pact that is set to be adopted in December, in order to "defend its national sovereignty."

The United States and Hungary have already rejected the Global Compact for Migration, which aims to boost cooperation to address the world's growing number of migrants.

"The government has agreed... not to sign the United Nations pact and thus not to bind Austria," said a statement from the ruling coalition led by Chancellor Sebastian Kurz of the centre-right OeVP, stressing "the importance of defending Austria's national sovereignty".

Mr Kurz's coalition partner, the far-right Freedom Party (FPOe), has been pushing for Vienna to reject the pact.

The coalition, which took office last year, won votes on an anti-immigration platform following the 2015 surge in arrivals of asylum seekers.

Wall Street gave 71% of its campaign contributions to Democrats
November 5, 2018 by IWB

via opensecrets.org:

Wall Street doesn’t like to back a loser, and that philosophy applies to elections, too.

In 2006, after years of giving a majority of its contributions to incumbents within the GOP-dominated Congress under President George W. Bush, the Securities & Investment industry gave 52 percent of its contributions to Democrats, just in time for a blue wave.

In 2008, the industry gave 58 percent of its contributions to Democrats, just in time for the election of President Barack Obama.

A great documentary that explores the thrust of my entire argument in this thread: that what is called 'the left' by the corporate media these days is nothing more than a vehicle for the agenda of big business

Piers corbyn spells it out brilliantly in a series of clips of interviews with him. Why don't we hear that stuff from his brother?

SPD Puts forth Its Manifesto to Federalize Europe
Blog/European Union
Posted Nov 11, 2018
by Martin Armstrong

In Germany, the SPD is now pushing for a revolution in Europe for all member states to surrender their sovereignty to Brussels. They are arguing to federalize Europe and thereby create an integrated Europe of one government. It was the SPD that really won in the German 1918 Revolution. Under Weimar, the SPD was able to put its ideas of social justice into practice by influencing a number of progressive social changes while both in and out of government. The SPD re-introduced and overhauled the Bismarckian welfare state, providing protection for the disadvantaged, the unemployed, the aged, and the young. The SPD is a full-blown Socialist State advocate following the ideas of Karl Marx.

At theaters across Europe, the SPD organized a symbolic proclamation to create a “European Republic” which was announced from the balcony of the Hamburg Thalia Theater, as actors released the new the manifesto written by Ulrike Guérot and Robert Menasse on Saturday. The aim of the project is to sensitize the public to the idea of a pan-European democracy and statehood. The occasion is the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War and the almost simultaneous proclamation of republics in various European countries.

The SPD manifesto calls for a Europe without nations and borders, thus to surrender sovereignty to prevent the resurgence of nationalism. EU Council President Donald Tusk has warned against the emergence of populist and anti-integration forces in Europe and the US. He has thus supported the federalization of Europe pointing out the isolationist tendencies in the USA and in Britain. The former head of the SPD Martin Schultz (19 March 2017 – 13 February 2018) also called for the federalization of Europe. They see no problem with suppressing 70% of the people who are not supporters of SPD.

Democratic 2020 Candidate Wants Government-Sponsored ‘Social Credit’ System Comparable To China’s
9:13 PM 11/17/2018 | Politics
Peter Hasson

New York entrepreneur and Democratic 2020 candidate Andrew Yang wants to implement a system in which a government-run mobile app rewards Americans with “digital social credits” (DSCs) for good behavior.

Americans would receive DSCs under Yang’s system for things such as “participating in a town fair,” “fixing a neighbor’s appliance” or “tutoring a student,” his presidential campaign website explains.

“As individuals rack up DSCs, they would have both a permanent balance they’ve earned over their lifetime and a current balance. They could cash the points in for experiences, purchases with participating vendors, support for causes, and transfer points to others for special occasions,” Yang states on his website. “As their permanent balance gets higher, they might qualify for various perks like throwing a pitch at a local ballgame, an audience with their local Congressperson or meeting their state’s most civic-minded athlete or celebrity.”

“The most socially detached would be the most likely to ignore all of this,” he added. “But many people love rewards and feeling valued.”

Yang’s social credit plan bears some similarities to the social credit system implemented by China’s authoritarian government.

Every citizen in China is assigned a social credit score that determines whether they can buy plane or train tickets.

You Can Have Transgenderism Or Feminism, But You Can’t Have Both
Last Thursday, feminist writer and podcaster Meghan Murphy tweeted her observation that “men aren’t women.” Twitter promptly suspended Murphy's account for “hate speech.”

One pities Murphy, a self-proclaimed leftist and feminist, as she experiences the sort of targeting and censorship that conservatives undergo at the hands of Big Tech on a daily basis. And yet conservatives cannot help feel a tinge of schadenfreude as the Left’s ideological chickens come home to roost. Murphy maintains that transgender ideology, which considers gender to be fluid and socially constructed, undermines feminism, which advocates the advancement of women, a real and essential gender category. Yet the roots of this new censorious, anti-woman ideology lie in feminism itself.
While First Wave feminists of the 18th and 19th centuries such as Mary Wollstonecraft and Elizabeth Cady Stanton acknowledged and celebrated differences between the sexes, by the 1960s radical feminists of the Second Wave like Shulamith Firestone rejected the complementarity of the sexes and sought instead to deconstruct gender altogether. In this extreme view, sexual difference necessarily impedes sexual parity, and therefore no distinction between men and women may be tolerated. Now that premise threatens to destroy the very feminist ideology that begot it.
The Left can have transgenderism or feminism, but it can’t have both. Either men cannot be women or there is not such thing as a woman. Either man and woman are distinct categories, or, to quote Planned Parenthood, “some men have a uterus.” If some men have a uterus—that is, if some men are women—then what exactly is a woman? If there is no categorical distinction between man and woman—that is, if there is no real difference between the sexes—then what precisely is “feminism”?
Even the targeting and censorship that Murphy now decries finds its roots in the Second Wave of the feminist movement, which adopted the slogan “the personal is political,” taken from the title of an essay by feminist writer Carol Hanisch. That obliteration of the distinction between public and private action, essential to liberal society, coarsened the character of political activism and encouraged a politics of personal destruction. It also set leftism on its present course of radical subjectivism that prioritizes feeling over fact, “one’s truth” over the truth, and justifies the censorship of opinions deemed “triggering,” “unsafe,” or hateful by redefining speech as violence.
Meghan Murphy is right to acknowledge that men are not women. She's also right to fear the consequences of a politics this personal. Conservatives have long known these simple truths. Now leftist feminists such as Murphy face a hard choice: ally with conservatives, who support free speech and insist that “facts don’t care about your feelings,” or persist with a Left that would annihilate feminism altogether.
