I little background to the importance of algae, BP and it's funding of Berkeley.

OK, the coincidences are just too bizarre.

Quote:
BERKELEY, Calif. — BP's catastrophic oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is fueling opposition to the University of California, Berkeley's research partnership with the British company, with activists on the famously liberal campus demanding a severing of ties.

The oil giant gave UC Berkeley a $500 million grant in 2007 to create the Energy Biosciences Institute, which works to develop new sources of plant-based fuel. The 10-year deal is believed to be the largest-ever corporate sponsorship of university research, but has outraged students and professors who worry the global oil company will exert too much influence over academic research and damage the university's reputation.
http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...GeDqAD9HA60701

$500 million was "donated" by BP? A British based company donates 1/2 billion dollars to a US College to find fuel alternatives. Something stinks. So I dug a little deeper.
Now on the face of things, the Energy Biosciences Institute looks like a good thing, trying to create alternative fuels from plant species. But that all goes away when one digs a little deeper.

Quote:
To provide alternatives to petroleum-based energy, enhance global security, and reduce carbon emissions, the U.S. government has mandated a greater proportion of our energy portfolio be derived from plant-based fuels (i.e., 2007 Energy Independence and Security Act; EISA). However, the potential benefits of this nascent bioeconomy may be offset by damage to our biosecurity via land-use change, inappropriate agronomics, rapid adoption of novel crops, and/or lack of proper federal oversight (1). Of these potential externalities—the unintended and often negative effects or byproducts from an activity—little attention has been given to economic or ecological damage from invasive biofuel feedstocks. For example, many plant species proposed, and in some cases under development, for biofuel production in the U.S. are invasive species or have a high likelihood of escaping cultivation and becoming invasive
http://pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.1021/es100640y

I would ask folks to take a second and read the article. It is quite scary, and is a link I followed from here: http://www.energybiosciencesinstitute.org/
:shocking:

Now, here's where it get's real creepy. Remember the conspiracy theory out a bit ago about turning the Gulf into a dead zone, for creating algae for biofuels? Guess what?

Quote:
In addition to terrestrial and aquatic macrophyte species, the energy industry is evaluating algae for renewable production of starches for alcohols, lipids for diesel fuel surrogates, and H2 for fuel cells (21). Algae have been shown to produce 250 times more oil than soybeans per unit area, and up to 31 times more oil per area than African oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) (22). However, a number of non-native algal species are being considered for biomass, but despite the potentially severe environmental risks, they have yet to be evaluated for their potential escape and impacts. For example, strains of freshwater cyanobacteria such as Anabaena circinalis, Oscillatoria agardhii, and Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii produce blooms known to cause serious illness or death to humans and animals. Open-water cultivation of non-native, or highly modified native algae, present an unknown risk to our waterways, drinking water reserves, and higher trophic level effects
http://pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.1021/es100640y

When I read that, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. :wtf1:

But it gets even creepier...

On June 20th, 2010, a blogger named JoAnneMor wrote this...

Quote:
What they are doing is in three steps.

First get rid of oil industry in Gulf.

Then turn Gulf into a dead zone. A dead zone is free of life or ability to sustain it. The oil, dispersants and fertilizers deplete oxygen. It kills animals and fish, also turning their remains into fertilizer.

Finally, use Gulf as a giant Algae farm. Algae grows on water surface, getting oxygen from air, not water. Fertilizers like Urea supply much needed nitrogen. The Mississippi and the other rivers that empty into Gulf also pick up fertilizers from the many farms along the way. This feeds the Algae at the mouths of these rivers.

The oil in the water won't hurt the Algae. It will only promote it's growth and burn factor.

Algae costs about $2. a Barrel to refine. This is potentially very profitable.
http://www.blogster.com/joannemor/st...n-an-oil-spill

But this is what really got my attention...

Quote:
That plan involves projects in the Great Lakes., Chesapeake Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
http://www.blogster.com/joannemor/st...n-an-oil-spill

OK, so officially, I am creeped out...It can't be just a coincidence that this Michigan oil spill is just in the right spot to feed into the Great Lakes...And Chesapeake Bay?

Remember the National Exercise called SONS 2010, which, on April 29th, 2010 held an exercise to combat an oil spill of "national significance" in the Chesapeake Bay?

Quote:
Date: April 29, 2010

The oil spill response organization, Oil In The Bay, has deployed 60,000 feet of containment boom from Goose Pond to Moss Pond, and in small waterways. Approximately 500,000 more feet of boom has been ordered.

An estimated 12.6 million gallons of Mayan crude oil were originally onboard. The amount of oil spilled in the Chesapeake Bay is currently estimated at 2.25 million gallons. The Captain Banner crew is transferring oil from the ruptured tank to an undamaged tank to minimize spillage.
http://www.sons2010.com/go/doc/2221/515695

Quote:
The devastating oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is now going on 51 days. Various news reports and prediction modeling has suggested that there is a high probability oil will go beyond the Gulf of Mexico and enter into the Atlantic Ocean. What does that mean for our Chesapeake Bay? Will the oil reach as far north as our bay waters?
http://www.examiner.com/x-43633-Anne...Chesapeake-Bay

Now, today, ATS had an interesting thread, by DRJay1975.

Quote:
Drove over the beach into Destin
, which is a very populated visible area, very different from where I just stopped. As soon as you cross the bridge, huge cleanup crews. Here they are picking up tarballs, unlike orange beach, that story will blow your mind. But they have booms and boats everywhere puttin on a show here. Nothing but the occasional tarball. Until I stepped out on my balcony. Hmm I've never seen the water look like this. Beautiful blue, except from the beach out about 50 yards. Weird green algae bloom. Never seen that here. Very thick. Authorities say it's seaweed. Nope. Looks like the same green algae you'd see in a small stagnant pond.
http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread598797/pg1

And last, but not least...

Quote:
All along the coast, people speak of a lack of regulatory commitment and investment in scientific research on the gulf by state and federal lawmakers.

They note, for example, that over the last decade, the Environmental Protection Agency’s financing for the Chesapeake Bay Program, a regional and federal partnership, was nearly five times the amount for a similar Gulf of Mexico program, and a Great Lakes program was given more than four times as much.

Now, here is where I believe Chemtrails comes into play...

I believe the whole global warming thing is to cover up the Chemtrail/Weather Modification agenda. I think we can all agree
that weather patterns seem to have become unstable.

I don't think it's warming. More like a larger swing of the pendulum.

Weather Modification has been going on for a long time. I can find evidence of it (the military experimenting with it) as far back as 1923.

Quote:
February 25, 1923, Sunday

The Army Air Service, which has been experimenting with the rain-making and cloud-dispelling process of Warren and Bancroft at McCook Field, will use a captive balloon at the flying field at Moundsville, W. Val., to test the power of electrified sand to banish fogs permanently.
http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstra...DA405B838EF1D3

Over the decades, by far the preferred method has been to suspend silver iodide in acetone, because the silver iodide expands so greatly. They say that burning/spraying 200 lbs of the stuff would cover the entire US in 100,000 particles per square ft.

1000's (maybe even millions) of lbs of the stuff has been sprayed over the US and just about every other country has some sort of program, spraying it from AC or vaporizing it into the atmosphere through ground generators.

Simply put, silver iodide has been widely used for decades to modify the weather globally.

The problem is, that silver iodide is deadly to aquatic environments because de-oxygenates the water. And if this deadly chemical is being spread everywhere through rain and snow, it eventually reaches the creeks, streams and rivers, and ultimately dumping into the ocean, because silver never dissipates.

Here are some examples of the consequences of cloud seeding.

Quote:

One frequent concern is the state of oxygenation of the oceans. Although mammals aren't capable of gas exchange in water, pretty much everything else in the sea is, but only when the amount of oxygen dissolved in that water is sufficiently concentrated. Unfortunately, a number of factors can affect this, from algal blooms that use up the available oxygen, to warming oceans and altered currents, the result can be hypoxia (low oxygen) or even anoxia (no oxygen) in some regions, where the amount of dissolved O2 cannot support macroorganisms such as fish.
http://arstechnica.com/science/news/...the-oceans.ars

Quote:
8/23 HOOD CANAL Hood Canal, known for its deadly oxygen problems, has experienced record-high levels of oxygen since the beginning of the year — but a day of reckoning could be approaching. Researchers have never seen dissolved oxygen levels that stayed as high as they did during the first four months of 2009. That includes measurements taken from 1952 through 1966 and again from 1998 until today. At the moment, the average oxygen concentration remains in a healthy range, but it has been declining rapidly since May. Nobody can predict how low the oxygen level will go as summer turns into fall. When levels become low, the risk of a sudden fish kill increases under certain wind conditions.
http://olyopen.wordpress.com/2009/08...st-kitsap-sun/

Now I could go on and on and show you how everything in the rivers and and oceans are showing symptom of low oxygen levels, especially the algae and mosses. Red tides, starfish washing up, etc.

All of this affects us. Everything! We rely on water to live. We rely on fish to eat. We rely on the algae to convert CO2 into oxygen to keep the oceans oxygenated and the fish alive.

In the last decade, the weather modification went from localized to global. By modifying the weather in the US, they could affect the weather in Europe. By messing with it in Europe, Russia and China can be affected. And so on.

Hence, the Chemtrails. By dispensing silver iodide compounds into the jet stream over Colorado, the chemical can be be controlled/steered through HAARP technology and smartdust design, to affect weather on a completely different continent.

Also, localize water wars can be secretly fought behind closed door water board and power company meetings.

Quote:
Here’s a thought: what if we could let some of the heat trapped in the atmosphere back out? A few scientists have proposed making skies cloudier in order to reflect light away from Earth, but now David Mitchell of the Desert Research Institute and colleagues are suggesting an opposite approach—get rid of cirrus clouds in the upper troposphere.

Mitchell says it may be possible to increase ice fall speed (i.e. how quickly the ice crystals in clouds “rain out”, essentially) by seeding the atmosphere with extremely efficient ice nuclei, such as silver iodide, which would outcompete natural ice nuclei and create larger ice crystals that fall out more quickly.
http://estagu.wordpress.com/

http://www.agu.org/cgi-bin/SFgate/SF...22U43A-0044%22

Hmm, Desert Research Institute?

Quote:
DRI's Joseph McConnell, Ph.D., received over $3.2 million in NSF awards to study Arctic and Antarctic ice cores for clues regarding the Earth’s climate.
http://www.dri.edu/

Quote:
"...the core partially melted across the Equator during transportation before it was analysed (Etheridge et al., 1988), but this was neither mentioned by the analysts nor the researchers later using the data (see Jaworowski et al., 1992 b). Rather it was characterized as "the excellent quality of the ice core" and its CO2 concentration data "are assumed to represent the global mean concentration history and used as input data to the model" (Siegenthaler & Oeschger, 1987)."

"In order to make a matching construction between the two age-different non-overlapping curves, it was necessary to make the assumption that the age of the gas inclusion air would have to be 95 years younger than the age of the enclosing ice. But this was not mentioned by the originators Siegenthaler & Oeschger (1987)."

"Both argon-39 and krypton-85 isotopes show that large amounts of ambient air are indeed included in the air inclusions in deep ice cores, and air from the inclusions will not be representative of paleoatmospheres (Jaworowski et al., 1992 b)."

"Contamination from drilling fluids and more than twenty physical-chemical processes occurring in the ice before, during, and after drilling, make ice cores unsuitable for paleoatmospheric work (Jaworowski et al., 1992 b)."
http://www.nov55.com/fakery.html

So, the DRI, being funded by the National Science Foundation, is calling to manipulate global climate because of the manipulated data produced by their global warming scientist in order to cover up the already existing campaign of Chemtrails.

Some evidence the rivers are being robbed of oxygen.

Fish are dying in droves in ponds, lakes and rivers all over the US. I'm sure it's all over the world, but I'm going to concentrate on the US for now..

Quote:
WEEKS BAY, Ala. -- Dead menhaden were reported washing up near the Weeks Bay National Estuarine Reserve on Thursday, but the fish kill does not appear to be due to oil pollution, reserve officials said today.

Hot weather and a lack of oxygen in the water is the most likely cause of the kill, a reserve spokeswoman said.
http://blog.al.com/live/2010/07/dead..._weeks_ba.html

Low oxygen? Nothing to do with oil though.. :whistling:

Quote:
The several hundred Channel Catfish found dead between the Harpers Ferry, W.Va., area of the Shenandoah River and Great Falls on the Potomac River likely succumbed to a bacterial disease brought on by a rapid increase in water temperature, low oxygen levels and natural environmental stresses at end of their spawning season, said Chris Luckett, natural resources planner with the Maryland Department of the Environment.
http://www.gazette.net/stories/06302...3246_32564.php

Low oxygen? :whistling:

Quote:
LONG LAKE, Wash. -- Hundreds of dead fish are floating in Long Lake in Stevens County and neighbors want to know what's killing them.
Marcie and Paul Norstadt live along the lake and first noticed the dead fish as they washed up on their beach on Friday.
...
Most of the dead fish are large carps, known to be bottom feeders. Officer Bob Weaver with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife met up with the Norstadt's to get a first hand look at the fish.
Officer Weaver believes the fish are dying from a lack of oxygen, as most of the dead fish are found tangled in large pockets of vegetation.
http://www.kxly.com/news/24212003/detail.html

Low oxygen... :whistling:

Quote:
Two local ponds have been plagued by scores of dead fish in recent days -- leaving residents and wildlife officials speculating as to what happened.
The first fish kill was reported Friday in Garfield Park, where fishermen were upset by the stench left by hundreds of fish corpses -- including two huge Asian carp.
The second kill happened in Bloomingdale, near Westlake Park. Local resident Kirk Steinbruecker described what he saw Friday to the Daily Herald.
They were all over, in the lake and along the shores there," he said. "I've never seen anything like it."
Officials suspect recent cold rains may have stirred up oxygen-poor water in the Garfield Park lagoon, killing scores of fish that had been recently stocked.
http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local...#ixzz0tTVCL2bc

Low oxygen..... :whistling:

Quote:
SLIDELL, La. --
Darrin Johnson
Residents in Slidell spotted dead fish floating ashore on Lake Pontchartrain on Friday, days after oil from the BP spill was first spotted in the lake
...
"It's pretty obvious this is some sort of low oxygen event that has occurred," said John Lopez of the Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation. "It is awfully fortuitous we are seeing this low-oxygen fish kill (after oil was discovered) just two days ago on the lake.
http://www.wdsu.com/news/24198276/detail.html

Again, low oxygen....... :whistling:

Quote:
MEDINA, Minn. -- Some lakes are not as appealing as they should be this time of year.
There's a combination of things causing hundreds of dead fish in Metro lakes.
...
"The algae, instead of producing oxygen, they actually resperate, like we do, and are actually using oxygen," Barten said. "They are reducing the amount of oxygen available in the water and the fish have less for themselves. That's enough of a stressor to start seeing fish dying off."
http://www.kare11.com/news/news_arti...storyid=856832

Hmm, must be, you guessed it, low oxygen... :whistling:

So, what's causing the low oxygen levels, other than excessive heat and rain.

I had to go to a foreign news story to find any truth...

Quote:
When a number of dead fish are found in one place, the incident is referred to as a fish kill, and there is significant reason to suspect pollution. The three main causes of fish kills are poisoning, disease, and suffocation.

Read more: Fish Kills - water, environmental, pollutants, United States, types, causes, industrial, toxic, Poisoning, Disease, Suffocation
http://www.pollutionissues.com/Ec-Fi...#ixzz0tTYIMVnp

Don't you think these government funded schmucks who jump on the "it's completely natural" bandwagon would do a little investigation. Is there a sewer leak? Is someone dumping chemicals in the water? Or.. is someone dumping chemical in the atmosphere, which is also killing birds, bees, trees, plants, people?

Is this a grand conspiracy to keep the public in a "deep sleep" while they take weeks to get test results back? One has to ask, what did these experts do in college. Play X-Box?

i havent read much of the thread but when i saw the title and what you stated about religion and science.

looks like its like that book spore seven, even the origin of many of those that would want that.

years ago i read about a molecule found that if injected would cause alcholism and addictions.

this sounds connected, almost an opposite type.

with something like that it would meen that the need for coersion and brainwashing would no longer be needed, they would have a group of people that were like robots.

anyways, just wanted to show the fictcional part.

Nice post. Thanks for your input.

How many times, has fiction become reality...

Just look at the recent movie 28 days, or The Happening, or Outbreak. I could go on and on...I guarantee, if someone is writing about it, even in fiction, someone is trying to figure out how to make it happen...

The fact is, Craig Venter has created synthetic life, controlled by a computer.

Who knows what will happen when they push the enter button to start the program...

Any and all of the verses in the Bible were written by the hands of men, not of God. If Revelations is playing out in some shape or form, it's because it wasn't "prediction" so much as it was all a part of a centuries old plan by the elite for total control. Religion is a form of control, the Bible, Quran, Talmud and Torah are all handbooks of the religions that use them.

Anything that is "predicted" by Revelations is all part of the timline the elite have made for their plan of control to take shape. They have greatly accelerated this plan over the last 25 years, and the last 10 have been breathtaking in their scope. Awful, but breathtaking nonetheless. There are chinks appearing in that system now, and a lot of masks are beginning to slip away. They want you meek and subservient, so THEY can inherit the Earth.

We sometimes forget what power we possess for change, and we also forget how important changing your mindest and way of life is. All of these things were written by, and created by men. The darkest thing you can imagine taking shape has already been thought of by someone else; maybe it's time to start thinking of the most positive outcome you can imagine instead.

We already are created. Something/someone created us. It's obvious. We are the AI, we've run amok. We've somehow figured out how to be awful to each other and we've also figured out that we are part of an ever expanding, magnificent universe. A wondrous dichotomy of many contradictions.

Write your own program, make sure you use a positive language.

You speak as if you know this for sure. Could you please post your links to you "for sure" information, or are you posting based on faith?

Whether or not Revelations is inspired by God, is to be determined. Self fulfilling prophecy, possibly...

Worthy of attention, I think, definitely.

God didn't write the Bible, the Quran, the Talmud or the Torah, men did. It's not about faith or sources, it's common sense.

If you believe it is written by God, it's hopeless. You have to bow down. If you understand it is written by men, and see what a tool religion is for controlling large groups, it's a little less intimidating. We can work against it when we realize it is other human beings and their nefarious plans.

The scientific capabilities that some people have at their disposal is frightening. Undoubtedly. There are good people within those frameworks.....

As for the scenarios you mentioned where the water has been devoid of oxygen, that is terrible. That could be a natural thing,, like methane or another gas which is co-mingling with underground springs. If that's the case, then we have to accept it. If it is the result of some interfernce by men, we don't have to accept it, and can do something about it..

actually the beast is the system itself, the beast system is also the god of the old testament and the 'holy holy holy'(which works out to 666 coincidentally) name which all the 'cherebum' sang of revelations, they just don't know it. the system being currency/perpetual revolution/empire/rule by priesthoods via religions and law.

it's all allegory, revelations was not written by christians, and like every other part of their holy book, for the base/uneducated people it's a real literal story, but what it's really about is the mechanisms of a system, the old testament is the rulebook.

cain and able for example, cain is an allegory for using metals, making weaponry, and using it to conquer others in war, bringing them under your rule through force. he was willing to kill others for his own gain.

able is an allegory for the true natural human way of living, tribalism and nomadic herding, as we all were prior to having been forced into the system of profit(prophets)/religion/economics/standing armies of the city(by the cain, and cain itself comes from the same root word as 'king' and 'con' which is the hebrew word for priest, 'kohen') able was "ABLE" to live freely and naturally

and Job, was an allegory for JOBS that us cursed slaves have to work, having to get up and go to work in the system for 12 hours a day 5 days a week, for 50+ years, get it? You've been cursed by god(god being an allegory for the system itself.)

and for the people who still think these books were written by god, that's fine, but all that you have to do is compare what you see in those books to what you see in the infinitely complex nature of the world around you and you should be able to tell the difference between which came from the mind of god and which came from the mind of limited human beings trying to enslave you.

it's all allegory, revelations was not written by christians, and like every other part of their holy book, for the base/uneducated people it's a real literal story, but what it's really about is the mechanisms of a system, the old testament is the rulebook.

cain and able for example, cain is an allegory for using metals, making weaponry, and using it to conquer others in war, bringing them under your rule through force. he was willing to kill others for his own gain.

Absolutely. The bolded are some very interesting and thought provoking interpretations; but that's what allegory and vagaries are all about.

Just look at the recent movie 28 days, or The Happening, or Outbreak. I could go on and on...I guarantee, if someone is writing about it, even in fiction, someone is trying to figure out how to make it happen...

The fact is, Craig Venter has created synthetic life, controlled by a computer.

Who knows what will happen when they push the enter button to start the program...
just call me Doc, you have no idea how close to the truth of what you post is, it caught me off a bit due to my own observations, i am greatfull that others can hear God yell out a truth and still have the sight to see God in science,,,,,,,,,,,,,and if God is there the enemy is as well screwing around.

what ive had to deal with as well as com forward with is in threads.

im not realy a wistle blower, nor informant, not just a victim, maybe a hidden hero of sorts,,,.

now the movie inception is out, for me it shows something i know of, some might catch it, most will speculate and some ahole with see an opurtuinity to gain control of another Matrix social brainwashing aparatus to manipulate people with.

oh its not real, create you own reality by ingnoring the pain,,,,,its not real,,,,,,,,,,those starving children its there choice the created that reality for them selves,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,bullshit some evil shitwad did that not there choice the shitwads.

i finnaly found the word to describe them, i kinda giggle when isay shit wad.

i want to say even though this thread speaks of some scarry shitwad works, it bolsters my spirits and gives me strength seeing stuff ive not spoken of yet knew a bit of , waiting knowing it would be veiwed as insanity,,,,,,,,,,,,,to many in high levels to slander me,,,,,,,,so i used what i like to Call the King David Tactic.

i pulled a king david on them,,,,,,,,,,,,,what i meen is act crazy, .

while speaking truth as well.

this worked in several ways, one was to cause them to become even more arroganteven God and those that serve God can pull a few tricks out of our arses,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,while still not commiting a sin,,,,,,,,,,,,as the say when in rome,,,,,,,,,,,,does not meen to do what they do, act the fool if you got to the dont want a fool doing there evil works but they do talk around fools.

and if that fool is the one that they know is one that can bring them down as well as they cant hide when im on the hunt.

i am very greatfull for your thread, its been a good day is some respects even though ive had to deal with more attacks, these on my finacial stuff,,,,,,,,and i only live on a fixed income so i made myself a bit small socialy to hit them hard.

Its like letting someone best you in some ways, letting them think there good at what they do,,,,,,,,,,,,,then comes pro ball,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they never got outa pop warner

and for the pro's your head coach is either God or Satan,,,,,,,,,,and all of satans players have only played pop-warner ball.

ouch, dam i get the giggles when i think of fucking satan up.

weird huh, no fear, and not covering it up, it is actual joy at the thought of going toe to toe with the shitwad himself.

hehehehehhhehhehehhehhehehe.

oh sorry,,,,,,,,,,,i get carried away.

oh that solar storm yesterday,,,,,,,,,,,,was differnt than most,,,,,,,,,,,it wsa from the complex solar eruption, a combined eruption of a sunspot as well as a magnetic fillament,,,,,,,,,,,,so yesterday i noticed the sunlight was a bit more amber than most of the time, or a bit more golden, less blue light.

hard to explain realy.

but it dawned on me that has to do with God's responce to some things you mentioned having to do with algae and such.

sunlight and its spectrum can have dramatic effects, this along with the magnetics comined, who knows all of what it mayhave stopped or changed its dirrection.

there's always an exoteric for public consumption and then an esoteric real meaning for the higher priesthoods, it's really not about vagaries and interpretations. you just have to know how to read the language that is used.

as it says in their own holy book, the world will be deceived, and most will be fooled, this is true, they have seen with their eyes and heard with their ears but with their hearts they have not gotten the sense of the matter. if you're here on this forum then you probably know that most everything that the masses believe is wrong, everything given to the masses(at mass, for the masses) including their religious belief system is the deception.

I've never read the Bible. I've read parts of it, I know certain quotes and I've definitely seen a lot of it referenced in one way or another. It seems pretty clear to me in it's intent. The trick was and is getting people to believe it is the word of a God, and that the historical perspective inferred is verbatim and not allegorical as well. The best part is, there is a lot of truth in there.... it's telling you things you already know inherently, and that helps to sell the more fantastical to the faithful.

you can't sell people a religion without giving them some truth, otherwise it won't stick. this process has been used over and over again down through the ages, and most of the stories in the bible were taken word for word from previous religions/holy books of the region, in which the same process was used.

it's always been understood that the common people want a god that they can relate to, a god who is just like them, who 'gets surprised' and 'gets angry' and will look out for their best interests if they just sacrifice the right amount of bulls, or dance on one leg while looking to mecca, or splash water on themselves and eat crackers, so that's what the people have always been given by 'the good shepherds'(with their rods and their staffs) in all ages, while they lead us around from fleecing to fleecing.
