Well the mystery has been solved ... and don't we all feel pretty stupid (me included) This was a globe made in 1957 by Denoyer-Geppert Co.; Cartographer: Denoyer-Geppert Co. here are some great close up images:

http://imageshack.com/a/img910/9246/WaOReE.jpg

http://imageshack.com/a/img538/1695/eIohdJ.jpg

And the website where you can buy one for $550.00

https://www.antiquemapsandglobes.com...-Globe.?G=6219

PLEASE NOTE THAT I DID NOT FIND IT. SOMEONE ELSE DID.

We really need to take a step back and try to figure out exactly what we are doing and thinking here.

The Dazed one doesn't have any Green or Box around it though.

That's not the same globe. The one you posted has distinct green shading around the edge of Australia whereas the Dazed one is just pale yellow.

Also @tortle do you know about the Mandela Effect? There's a whole discussion on this site about Australia, New Zealand and surrounding countries having changed not only their location but their shape and size. I wonder if this is a leftover from the switch?

Have you not considered the very distinct possibililty that the manufacturer of the globe which appears in the movie may have produced more than one variation of globe design over the years, whilst retaining the same style and position of colour key across a number of those variations?

It's possible but it's not the same globe so the search continues . . .

The globe was probably borrowed from some Illuminati classroom that was teaching their kids about ancient lost lands. Maybe those lands aren't lost. Maybe they're in other dimensions. Like LOST.

I know that some map makers put fake towns on maps sometimes, so if anyone copies the map they will know. called paper towns. maybe they did the same here but put a whole island on there?

I do find that hard to believe though.

Default Well it matches with google maps

I over layed the image from the movie into google maps and it fits into the colors and lines of the map as if its been photoshopped out.

If you look at the dead straight line below the Indian continent it looks like India has slid up there from where the mysterious land mass used to be perhaps.

Maybe the earth is way bigger than we're told, have you seen the whole earth personally. There could be more land.

Some would have you believe the moon is full of banana pudding and dinosaurs.
