Accepting Death- Alan Watts

8:19 “... because death, in a certain sense, is the source of life, just as we see it in nature when the leaves fall from the trees, they mold and rot and this supplies humus from which more plants can grow. It's a cycle like that."

“I do not fear death. I had been dead for billions and billions of years before I was born, and had not suffered the slightest inconvenience from it.”
― Mark Twain

I see the Bible as containing random minuscule fragments of a gigantic mirror that was shattered.

its all a big scam more or less and an obsessive control push to limit the size of the population because as we are, the low realizations we have, we would literally eat ourselves off the planet and leave it desolate. The fact is the general populace is so ignorant, if left unchecked would end its own species ability to exist on every level. that is truly how self involved humans are.

If we wish to know whether anyone is superior or not, we need only observe what part of his being he regards as especially important. The body has superior and inferior, important and unimportant parts. We must not injure important parts for the sake of the unimportant, nor must we injure the superior parts for the sake of the inferior. He who cultivates the inferior parts of his nature is an inferior man. He who cultivates the superior parts of his nature is a superior man.
I ching
if natures nurturing is a superior quality , what are yours?is it the ability to do the reverse of nature??have you defined superior qualities from animal urges or the fact that nature tolerates and nourishes even the worst of animals?

“There is no essential evil in the universe. Our present form of the "devil” is merely derived from the Greek nature god Pan. As Goethe says, Mephistopheles, or Satan, “is part of the power that still works for good while ever scheming ill.” Satan is really karma, but he is more than that. He is the temptation from which arises strength. When the Mysteries were celebrated in ancient Egypt, there was an evil spirit called Typhon or Set who brought about the death of the good Osiris. It is the red Set that has given us our concept of the devil; but Set was nothing but the material world, the ground of man’s temptation, and also the environment in which he gains immortality through self-discipline. Therefore, Set, or Satan is divine opportunity; the world into which we come in ignorance but from which we depart in wisdom.“

~ Manly P. Hall

"Suffering--the burden of all that is born, the yoke that all must wear; this strange, mysterious negation intrudes itself into every moment of human life. In the moment of great joy, pain is near; in the moment of success, failure is near. Why must man face suffering of some kind through the entire period of his life?

To Buddha, suffering was the symbol of the ignorance of man himself. He is the cause of his own suffering, collectively and individually, and it is necessary for him to correct this cause if he is to liberate the world."

true

we should have an income tax to insult our sense of survival and exploit our social ignorance and feed ridiculous oligarchs making egregious elitist decisions that affect us adversely. and to play colonialist god with a military used to manipulate the world at the behest of globalist bankers who place our politicians in office, and all of that because were so prone to human drama and infighting and stupid divisory beliefs.

neither christianity nor islam is a religion of peace. if you want a religion of peace cultivate peace of mind and love, judaism isn't a religion of peace either.You don't need a stupid book with a threatening god to cultivate love and peace you need the balls to be accountable for your thoughts attitudes and emotions. If you stick by the book you sacrifice your balls.

A little learning is a dangerous thing ;
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring :
There shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
And drinking largely sobers us again.
Fired at first sight with what the Muse imparts,
In fearless youth we tempt the heights of Arts ;
While from the bounded level of our mind
Short views we take, nor see the lengths behind,
But, more advanced, behold with strange surprise
New distant scenes of endless science rise !
So pleased at first the towering Alps we try,
Mount o’er the vales, and seem to tread the sky ;
The eternal snows appear already past,
And the first clouds and mountains seem the last ;
But those attained, we tremble to survey
The growing labours of the lengthened way ;
The increasing prospect tires our wandering eyes,
Hill peep o’er hills, and Alps on Alps arise !
- Alexander Pope
