One dodgy way would be to use a screen capture program, like 'camtasia'.

And if you don't get audio, try recording that seperatley and then adding the two together in an editing prog. I know that sounds like a bitch, and at times it can be.

I use DownloadHelper and then DVDflick( Free) to convert. If anybody goes down this path one thing to be aware of. In the DVDflick setup , select ISO.
When the ISO is finished then burn with your DVD software. DVDflick has an option for automatic burn , but I along with several others on the Flick forum have found using the automatic setup can end up with coasters. Whereas the ISO method comes up trumps every time.

Default Download YouTube Videos

YouTube updated their website and a many of the previously mentioned products don't work anymore.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to download YouTube videos and then convert them to any format - for your cell phone, Zune, or to play on your PC.

Default Use Youtube Downloaderthis its perfect

Use this its perfect for youtube

http://www.youtubedownloaderhd.com/

Youtube Downloader HD is a free tool to download videos from YouTube and save it to your local computer. The videos can be converted to avi video format or to mp4 (compatible with iPod, iPhone).

I was wondering where to post in the forums as Im new, but I like many have noticed that lots of stuff on the 911 inside job keep getting removed as soon as they are posted, usually within a coupel of hours.

I have been trying to "pull down" as many as possible before they go too.

(Claim: New WTC7 Angle Shows Explosions Before Collapse?)

This was removed within minutes hours, before I could grab it

Hope its of use

If your running firefox try the downloadhelper extension, I've tried out many extenesions, software and websites for downloading from youtube and this is the best for downloading most videos from any website.

I'm using Youtube Downloader for youtube videos, it has a built in converter which is kind a usefull. For all other streams I use Orbit Downloader. It allows you to download audio and video streams (not live) from almost any site.

Default Easy YouTube Video Downloader pulled

The 'Easy YouTube Video Downloader' has been pulled by its developers very recently, and consequently no longer functions (or at least it doesn't on my mac, I assume the same applies for the pc version as well).
(see www.bestvideodownloader.com).

But an alternative, 'Flash Video Downloader 3.9.3', seems to still be going strong: http://www.flashvideodownloader.org/

Bit of a bummer because the Easy YouTube Video Downloader could convert the video download into just an .mp3 file if that was what you wanted, while the latter does not.

If a video is just being streamed and I cannot download it directly, then I capture the video using QuickTimePlayer, and the audio at the same time by opening the audio up in Soundflower, which is a free download. The video playback can be slightly stilted, but it is better than nothing.

I'm sure there are better ways of doing this out there, I'm a bit of a techno-duggie and I scratched my head for ages before I worked out this last resort solution. Anyway I hope this helps some fellow mac users .

Edit: If you want to just record streamed audio, you can use 'Audacity', which is also a free download.
