I don't blame him. He couldn't be more British than anybody and sounds like he's totally disgusted and offended. Two fingers, f' you and goodbye to Britain.

Why John Cleese is leaving the UK for Nevis

John Cleese has said he is heading to the Caribbean - Nevis to be exact.

The Monty Python star said it's down to a lack of trust in the newspapers; "it’s the lying and the triviality that I object to".

Is it a Tax Haven or has he genuinely had enough of the UK and the MSM lies?

He seems like a genuine bloke, he really should have slagged of the government and Brexit and that would put more pressure on our glorious PM.

Not reacting in Pavlovian fashion to every msm pronouncement but of course it's a mistake to preferentially support the wishes of businesses currently doing good trade with the EU at the expense of businesses that will do good trade with the rest of the world in the future.

True.

But the trade deal the USA would give the UK would be very one sided in favour of the USA.

The whole Brexit thing is a giant mess (no coincidence there) and it needs sorting out.

Trump is right about a lot of things, and wrong about a lot of things. No one wants Borris Johnson as MP, or Jacob Rees Mogg.

A hard Brexit now would mean just WTO and MoQ rules applying.

Very little from the Independent is worthy of consideration these days and imagining any pronouncements from the Irish PM will stop or delay 60 million people leaving the EU should be added to the list.

Exit first then make deals is the way it should have been done from the get go but our country is run by knaves and cowards and those happy to inflict change but incapable of reciprocating that.

https://www.davidicke.com/article/48...egotiations-eu

Two years of 'negotiations' in article 50 are entirely designed as a deterrent and as part of the Lisbon treaty which in essence was a 3000 page rules document that was skipped through Parliament with minimal discussion late in session and signed into existence on behalf of the UK by one man without thought of a referendum!

They were banging on recently about how there isn't much time left to negotiate before we officially leave the EU.

So my question is a very simple one, why the hell are the MPs on summer holiday when they should still be in parliament sorting this whole mess out?

Brexit will not happen, it will be delayed and watered down and it will bring down our current Prime Minister. She was only put in the hot seat so she could ruin the whole Brexit process.

Media: Oh the Leavers lied! They used fake news! PEOPLE ON INSULIN WILL SUFFER!

What like insulin makers Novo Nordisk UK? http://www.novonordisk.co.uk/patient...l-the-way.html

See, if you're (not you DIf) going to moan about lying from one side then surely you'd hold more weight in your argument if you... Didn't lie yourself?

Apart from that, the bullshit never stops. I see it as an abusive relationship.
We've gone past the "REMEMBER WHAT THE PRIEST SAID? 'TIL DEATH DO US PART!" stage and now onto the "I'VE GOT ANGINA! YOU'RE TRYING TO KILL ME THROUGH STRESS!" stage.
Final stage is a shouting match, a stabbing and then it gets turned into a play by an Irish playwright up the road.

Now if I've got it wrong and Novo Nordisk UK import more than they make, fair enough. Another own goal from hayed Joe!

Just a quick recap as the pigs are due back at the trough tomorrow...

Today
1. Michel Barnier has rejected Theresa Mays Chequers proposal.
2. Boris Johnson has been stirring things up, as per usual.
3. BBC 5 live have had people pushing for a 2nd referendum claiming it would be a peoples vote. Vote for hard Brexit, whatever deal the EU give us, or vote to stay in the EU.
4. BBC 5 live also allowed someone on this morning who said about the EU always having a 2nd vote to reverse the 1st vote and it is undemocratic! He was Irish as well I think.

So after a heatwave, and not hearing the phrase Brexit for a couple of months it's time to get ready as the propaganda machine will be set to 11.

The GMB union (UKs 3rd largest) has publicly stated that it would prefer a 2nd referendum. This is will put pressure on Labour now.

If the other unions, UNITE being the biggest, follow the same path, then Labour will have to push for a 2nd referendum.

Who says they don't control both sides of the game?

It doesn't work like that.

You keep on voting until they get the vote they want, then it's done.

No disguising it now.

Happy with eurocrats turning the countries of Europe into one giant sociology experiment?

Remainers too stupid to understand what they voted for?

Yet the MPs for the UK on all sides deny the EU wants to be a superstate...

It's only about trade they say, yet they have 2 parliaments, currency, flag, central bank, anthem and a capital city.

I wonder who is telling the truth?

There's a big EU tea party in Austria tonight. Theresa May will be going to see all her friends and will try to appeal to them all for 10 minutes to give her the deal that Jacob Rees Mogg wants.

I think we have been lied to massively about Brexit. They want us to leave so they can sell everything off and alter the laws to reduce what rights we have.

Jeremy Corbyn has pretty much said he will champion a 2nd referendum today, so it will be official Labour policy this week.

So we might get rid of the Conservatives and Brexit but end up with Labour.

Labour Party democracy > Democracy of the UK?

People's vote was in 2016 if I remember correctly. There should have been one before the Lisbon treaty was signed years before on our behalf by the Labour government led by Gordon Brown.
