Eh? He loves his country and is quintessentially English! Not what the media wants you to know though. He has been battling for the rights of the people of this country for decades, why would he hate his country?

Item on Newsnight about how he is gaining popularity, especially outside London. I really see a split where we have a Labour Lite party and a real Labour Party under Corbyn. The first will either fizzle out or be absorbed by the Tories, quite rightly. The latter might join forces with the Greens, Plaid and SNP and become a real political force. Also said it before I think there should be a secondary Parliament based outside London, in York perhaps, which more truthfully represents the people. Westminster and London just don't seem to "get" the rest of the country, Wales and Scotland. It would be a truly revolutionary and historic move that would change the gridlock and Eton/Oxbridge control
of the current political system.

Tweet from a not very reliable source saying Smith ran rings around Corbyn at their head to head debate. It's raining but there's not a cloud in the sky? Oh wait, it's soil...

Eddie Izzard loses out in Labour Party executive election

Quote:
Trans comedian Eddie Izzard lost out in his bid for a spot on the executive of the Labour Party.

The gender non-conforming comic, marathon runner and political activist has been a long-standing member of Labour, and repeatedly hinted at running for office himself.

The Soap Opera continues! Labour overturn decision to allow new members to vote in leadership elections. Looks like it's going to be Owen Smith then.
Until the next leadership crisis... and the one after that... and the one after that!

Still, at least it's closed down the debate about Chilcot report! Mission accomplished!
Both shit!
