Default "No election" propaganda has started

BBC news in the UK last night.

First sentence "Hurricane Sandy about to hit US shores"

Second sentence "US Presidential election may not take place"

They're preparing us for no election due to the storm already.

For the majority the stories are saying it's going to based on the State's decisions on whether to extend voting or not. Without extending it there's going to be alot of people not able to vote.
But if they do extend it, what do you think matters more to these people? Assistance in a emergency or an election?

I don't think it will make a difference either way, but the only one to benefit from a delayed election will be the president.
