Default HIV tests for Everyone!!

http://www.okulonews.com/health/medi...vernment-plans

Testing for HIV could be introduced routinely in GPs’ surgeries and hospitals under government plans to screen the population for the condition.

Ministers are concerned that more than a quarter of people with HIV do not know they are carrying the virus and are passing it on to their sexual partners.

A pilot screening programme, which is expected to be extended across the country if it is a success, will target gay men and black Africans who have a higher than average chance of carrying HIV.

The pilot, to be held at GPs’ surgeries and hospitals in Leicester, in Brighton, where there is a large gay population, and in Lewisham, southeast London, which has a large black African community, will begin in the next few weeks.

Health workers are concerned that some HIV sufferers are infecting multiple sexual partners without knowing they have the virus. If left untreated, HIV — which has few symptoms — can turn into Aids.

Testing is carried out mainly in sexual health clinics at the instigation of the patient. But ministers want it to become more routine and to be subject to an opt-out for those who do not want to be tested.

Gillian Merron, the public health minister, will examine the results of the tests to gauge public reaction.

“We estimate that around one quarter of HIV cases are undiagnosed — so it’s important we reduce this so people can get the treatment they need,” she said.

Hospitals will ask patients, including those with serious illnesses or brought into accident and emergency rooms, to be tested for HIV.

Gay men in Sheffield are to be offered HIV home-sampling testing kits.

The Terrence Higgins Trust, which raises awareness about HIV, said a targeted screening programme would lead to lives being saved. There are believed to be 77,000 people living with HIV in the UK. More than 25,000 people have developed Aids and 18,787 have died.

As long as it is not mandatory I don't see a problem with this.

I see a problem!

Is it "AIDS Specific antibodies" test or just a test that detects an overall antibody level?
You know some tests are more likely to show a person as being infected if they are pregnant or starving or has flu, etc. Also tests have a set level and if you get higher than that level then they consider you infected, but the "level" is different between different countries!

Maybe this is just a way to be able to diagnose people that are not infected as being infected and then give them medicine which actually gives them medical problems equivalent to AIDS and effectively they end up with acquiring an immune deficiency problem.

Maybe they will lower the "level" that is considered as being infected.

So if you refuse to take vaccinations, well this is another way of forcing you to take crap medicines to kill you. Not only that but people will have less sex and produce less babies once they think they have AIDS.

So perhaps this is just part of their depopulation charter.

There is no way I'm allowing a needle anywhere near me. And if it's anything to do with AIDS then it's no way with knobs on.

It could be done clandestinely, they would be sweating, calling the police to find out the results before they were released.

This is nothing to do with AIDS, it is a neat way to collect DNA information on every living person without them knowing. This info will be stored and used against you it has nothing to do with AIDS at all.

The state only worries about it's own interests not mine. I see this as another money making scam.

When you donate blood, they have a form asking if you have HIV etc.
I knew someone who stopped donating cos they thought it was a gross invasion of their privacy.

I don't want any needles anywhere near me nowadays

if your not given a choice then I would worry, otherwise choose not have the test as you can now.

But as others have said they do seem to want to get a look at all our biological data, and I doubt its for our benefit.

Interestingly, Lord Monckton who's been warning us about the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit has been a huge advocate of HIV screening for everyone since the 1980s.

Maybe they could design a condom that changes color if one of the people has AIDS!
