The Charlie Patton recordings have a sound I can only describe as apocryphal. It's so dark sounding and shrouded in the past. It gives me the chills.

Charlie Patton - Screamin' and Hollerin' The Blues

Charlie Patton - Shake It And Break It (But Mama Don't You Let It Fall)

Catchy fiddle riff

Charlie Patton - Rattlesnake Blues

Robert Johnson's friend-boy Willie Brown. Striking similarities to both Patton and White in his vocals. Don't know if he knew Bukka White but he learned from Charlie Patton. Rarified stuff.

Willie Brown - Future Blues

Blues mystery? Seems to be unknown who Kid Bailey was but it is speculated to be Willie Brown.
