Political Consensus Is Splintering Into Class Wars
by Tyler Durden
Feb 16, 2017 12:36 PM
Submitted by Charles Hugh-Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

Class Warfare: Economic and Cultural

This widening gap between the Protected and the Unprotected is not just economic; it's also cultural.

The Mobile Cosmopolitans who secure protected positions have little exposure to the challenges of the unprotected, whom they typically interact with only as an employer giving instructions to maids, nannies, dog-walkers, waiters, etc. Sociologist Charles Murray described this widening cultural gap in his 2012 book Coming Apart: The State of White America, 1960–2010.

Murray made the case that America’s cultural elite—the mobile, highly educated and largely urban upper middle class, i.e. the protected class—is a reservoir of the traditional values (marriage, attending church, setting goals, etc.) that are fading in working-class unprotected America.

Murray posited that various behaviors and associations characterize each class. The working class, for example, volunteers to serve in the U.S. military, while the elites are in civilian positions of power (for example, those who order the working-class volunteers into America’s permanent wars.) The working class attend NASCAR races, the elite class pursues cultural enrichment, and so on.

While many commentators view Murray’s conclusions as overly negative, the recent presidential election has heightened the cultural divide he described between Hillary Clinton’s "deplorables" (who President Obama chided for their attachment to "guns and Jesus") and the self-described (and oh so morally superior) "progressives."

(The word is in parentheses because I have suggested that these self-anointed "betters" are at best fake-progressives, as they support exploitive neoliberal policies that are anything but progressive.)

It’s painfully obvious that the economic division between protected and unprotected overlays all too well on Murray’s cultural divisions.

The upper-middle "progressive" class has the sort of social/financial mobility and security—both higher quantities of income and wealth and higher qualities of security--that are out of reach of most of the country's much larger number of unprotected households.

Incredible story by whistleblower sibel edmunds who uncovered criminality by a democratic politician and then experienced a backlash from the so called 'left' and its controlled corporate media and alternative media

she also exposed wrong doing on the part of republicans and wasn't partisan but this didn't stop the leftwing people ignoring the info she had on left wing politicians whilst attacking her for exposing it

Libyan Labels: a journey through the Guardian’s coverage of the Libyan disaster
25 Jan 2017 Ricardo Vaz

In this analysis we examine Libya’s recent history looking through the eyes of the Guardian, the flagship of liberal western outlets, and its reporting. As with most other western media, the Guardian was an enthusiastic supporter of the NATO intervention that overthrew Gaddafi and threw the country into the disaster that we are about to describe. Faithful to western interests then, the Guardian remains faithful afterwards as well. But imperial designs are laden with contradictions and sometimes drastically change course, but the Guardian dutifully follows. More interestingly, in light of the complex Libyan situation, the Guardian resorts to labels, adjectives, to distinguish the “good” (i.e. western-supported) actors from the “bad” ones. And as western powers stumble from one strategy to the next, these labels change accordingly.

How the Israel lobby is using Owen Jones
Asa Winstanley Lobby Watch 21 February 2017

Guardian columnist Owen Jones will headline an event for the Jewish Labour Movement, a group involved in Israel’s effort to thwart the Palestine solidarity movement. (Marc Lozano)

Last week the Jewish Labour Movement announced that Guardian columnist Owen Jones will be the big name speaker at an event the group is holding on 2 April.

Jones will lecture on “left anti-Semitism, the Middle East and the Labour Party.”

The Jewish Labour Movement scoring Jones appears to be a high-profile instance of a new push endorsed by Israel’s government to ensure that Palestine solidarity “instigators” are “singled out” from so-called “soft critics” of Israel.

According to The Jewish Daily Forward, the strategy – jointly developed by the Reut Institute and the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) – “calls for a big tent approach that accepts progressive critics of Israel” while also demanding “an all-out assault on leading critics of Israel, sometimes using covert means.”

“The instigators must be singled out from the other groups, and handled uncompromisingly, publicly or covertly,” the Reut-ADL report states, according to The Forward, which obtained a copy on condition it not publish the entire document.

Canadian biology teacher punished for protecting his students, under the boot of the progressive-nazis in their totalitarian march to undermine the human immune system as part of their malthusian social engineering

Canadian Biology Teacher Latest Victim of Vaccine Inquisition
Posted on February 21, 2017
By Brandon Turbeville

Having gained leaps and bounds in the race to eliminate any vestige of free speech with its recent hate crime laws, Canada is once again trying to take the lead in the elimination of free thought, free speech, free expression and well . . . pretty much anything free.

Sullivan approached the nurses and requested the product information sheets related to the various vaccines. He read the potential side effects to his students. In rare cases, these effects include, vasculitis, Guillain-Barre syndrome, encephalopathy and, in the case of the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) vaccine, death.

In his letter, Sullivan said his students were not aware of these risks. He asked the nurses administering the vaccines if they were informing the students about them. Sullivan says he was told no.

“Two days later, I was asked to meet with the school principal and was informed I was being written up for harassment of the health unit nurses,” Sullivan says in his letter. “The accusation requires that I show up in front of the Ontario College of Teachers Feb. 21 and Feb. 22 for a disciplinary hearing.”

progressive-nazis turning hate into an industry:

The People's Cube: Southern Poverty Law Center is a Hate Group
Just what exactly makes one a “hater” in the eyes of the SPLC?
2.22.2017

From our friend Oleg Atbashian, creative force behind the brilliant satirical site The People's Cube comes this brilliant non-satirical commentary on one of the left's favorite attack dogs, the Southern Poverty Law Center. Don't miss this.

The word “haters” is a very loaded term, and a nonsensical one to boot. The left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), for example, claims to be the ultimate arbiter of “hate,” “haters,” “hate groups,” and “hate crimes.” This 501(c)(3) nonprofit collects handsome sums of money under the pretext of keeping what they call a hatewatch. At the end of 2016 their endowment stood at $302.8 million. That means they have a direct financial interest in painting a picture of a widespread organized hatred in the United States, which “proves” their importance and scares the donors into parting with even more of their money.

As of this writing, the official SPLC list contains 917 “hate groups” – a strikingly high number that makes one wonder just how arbitrary their criteria of “hate” are. A closer look at the numbers and at the SPLC interactive Hate Map shows a bizarre mix of patriot, Christian, and conservative groups, including ACT for America and Center for Security Policy, lumped together with KKK, neo-Nazis, and black separatists.

A “chilling” SPLC chart shows a 197 percent increase in “anti-Muslim hate groups,” with top three featured “extremists” being – wait for it – David Yerushalmi, Robert Spencer, and Frank Gaffney Jr.

Tyranny of the minority: How the most sinister trend of our age is a poisonous conviction taking root on the Left and among the elite that ordinary people are too stupid to be trusted with voting
By Mike Hume For The Daily Mail
Published: 01:51, 25 February 2017 | Updated: 11:33, 25 February 2017

Back in the 18th century, political reformer Henry Fox was advocating giving the vote to more people. But only, he insisted, to what he called ‘the better sort’. Not ‘the mob or the mere dregs of the people’. Heaven forbid!

Now, in the 21st century, such derogatory sentiments about ‘the people’ are dangerously back in fashion — ever since they dared vote for Brexit in Britain, and for Donald Trump in the United States.

Questions are being asked in high places about whether ordinary voters are fit to make decisions on major issues.

Over Brexit, this profoundly insidious attitude was exemplified by John Major, former Tory prime minister, who denied the referendum result was binding and declared: ‘The tyranny of the majority has never applied in a democracy.’

Some of us might naively have imagined that majority rule was the very essence of democracy. But not, it seems, when millions vote against the wishes of a tiny political elite.

In the eyes of the Establishment, the only possible explanation was that those millions were simply too ignorant, uneducated, gullible, bigoted or emotional to understand what they were being told.

What is curious is that those from the liberal and Left wings — the ones who claim to be most in favour of change in the UK — were most upset.

A beginner’s guide to the Guardian
by Darren Allen
Published on February 23, 2017

he Guardian newspaper is a limited company and has been since 2008 when the Scott Trust was wound up and replaced by The Scott Trust Ltd, which appoints a board comprised of bankers, management consultants, venture capitalists and other classic left-wingers. The paper itself is written nearly exclusively by elite-educated members of the upper middle class. The viewpoint you would expect to come from this privileged set-up is what you do get.

Murray McDonald, in his Hidden History of the Guardian, explains that The Guardian was launched to undermine working-class leaders of the early 19th century reform movement (whose members were massacred at Peterloo), and during its 150 year history has denounced Ireland’s freedom fighters, Women Suffragettes, Abraham Lincoln’s campaign to end slavery, third world nationalism and pretty much any kind of genuine independence from the system. It supported Tony Blair, even when the worst of his crimes were known and continues to give him uncritical space, it regularly presents official pronouncements as news, regularly disguises adverts for its corporate sponsors as news and regularly finds time to pour bile on Jeremy Corbyn, Julian Assange, Media Lens and Noam Chomsky, who was so appalled by Emma Brocke’s infamous and outrageous distortions he forced them to print a long retraction.

In short, The Guardian is far to the right

In the clip below jonathan speaks about how the blairites are stabbing corbyn in the back and asks why anyone would vote tory; personally i won't vote now for anyone unless they start talking about chemtrails and central banking but i understand why there is a shift to the tories

People have become aware that the 'labour' party does not represent people who labour for a living. it is a rothschild, fabian vehicle that is looking to wipe the slate clean to create a new society that will be enslaved to the rothschilds central politburo

here's the thing....before world war 1 the power of labour was growing as it began in the industrial age to realise the power of collective bargaining power. Trade unions and workers parties were growing in strength and yet working people did not relinquish their nationality to join a marxist world government, they instead joined up to fight for their country against a perceived outside threat

In reality the rothschild cabal profitted from that war and the labour movement saw its manpower bled dry in the fields of france, but the point is that british workers still wanted to be british

Yes i know that there are negative sides to nationalism and that it can be abused and used to divide people but there are positive sides to it as well which is that people like having their culture and community bond. They also like that other people have their cultures as well. They like visiting other countries (when they used to be able to afford it) and enjoying other peoples cultures and cuisine

I don't believe that most humans want to live in a homogenised soup of people under one corporate-crafted, mono-culture of pop music and designer fashion items

So how does the left create a new vision that allows equal rights for all whilst not needing to destroy everything that exists first? How do we celebrate human diversity whilst at the same time recognising that all humans are equally valid?

Yes corbyn as far as we can see is anti-war which is a great thing but the corporate war machine is a parasite that has taken over the host and it ties into it the oil industry and the banking industry that creates war loans. So how do we cut the parasite out of the body without killing ourselves? All those people employed in the war machine would need other jobs which requires a radical shift in what we prioritise and what we create

This needs a fundamentally new vision for society that can be offered to people and explianed in clear and transparent terms so that people can either choose to accept or reject it. That's what corbyn needs to do if he wants to retain relevancy

Just as those british workers fought for love of their country they also do not want to have their country radically altered by mass immigration. This is not anything personal against immigrants. It is simply a realisation that if you change the personnel of a place you change many other things such as the culture, the language, the values etc. if this was not true then no business would ever hire new people, no football team would ever swap players, no political party would reshuffle its cabinet etc

Changing people changes a place and most people in this place do not want that kind of rapid and orchestrated change. It does not make them hateful or bigotted, it makes them human and politicians are going to have to start engaging with the reality of human nature instead of simply following the inhuman dictats of political theory gleaned form textbooks that treat humans as if they are toys that can just be reshuffled and rearranged to something that looks neater

So IMMIGRATION and their unwillingness to tackle it is a major reason for labour failing. Also their image has been destroyed by the jewish controlled neocon blairites like mandelson who want this country in perpetual war and radically altered to pave the way for rothschild central control. Stop the social engineering through mass immigration and stop the war machine by presenting a new vision for the left that everyone of all backgrounds and ethnicities can get on board with

That is the challenge of the true left moving forward. It's a mountain to climb but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try

The modern 'left' or what the corporate media is calling the left is really a loose coalition of angry people who have an axe to grind. They are people caught up in their own petty grievance instead of realising that solution to their problem as well as everyone elses lies in the bigger picture

The bigger picture is one of a corporate war machine funded by central banking

Too many of the left are only really jumping on a bandwagon because they want people to be able to use bathrooms that don't correspond with their genitalia or they are hung up on the fact that male and female wages don't correspond because women tend to make other lifestyle choices that affect the figures etc

meanwhile while these people try and twist reality to suit their own petty prejudices the war machine rumbles on virtually unopposed because the left is being subverted by small minded retardism, much of which is not about helping working people but is rather often founded upon narcisism or supremicism of various kinds

Totally un-American: 'Whatever the US political left dislikes they smash and censor'
Published time: 6 Mar, 2017 14:12

The leftist groups that showed up at the 'March 4 Trump' event set out to physically assault people, those who support First Amendment rights and support the President of the US, says Kathy Zhu, pro-Trump activist and co-organizer of Berkeley rally.

Over the weekend, participants of the 'March 4 Trump' demonstration, an event organized to show support for President Donald Trump and free speech, were met by members of the 'By Any Means Necessary' counter-demonstration group in downtown Berkeley.

The result was chaos and violence as some members of the opposing sides engaged in fist fights.

Police reported that five people were arrested for battery, four for assault with a deadly weapon and one for resisting arrest.

‘A DELIRIUM IS SPREADING’ – The Left’s Great Russian Conspiracy Theory
March 11, 2017 By 21wire 9 Comments

“The very people who for years talked about the problem of conspiracy theories have become the keenest spreaders of conspiracy theories. The people who spent the past few months banging on about the ‘post-truth’ politics of Brexit and Trump have shown they don’t have the first clue what truth is. The people who posed as champions of logic have revealed themselves as peddlers of paranoia…”

During last year’s the election cycle, 21WIRE called-out the liberal establishment’s whole ‘Russian Hack’ conspiracy as a “hoax,” but even conservative media were too shy to go that far in condemning what is obviously one of the biggest put-ups in modern political history.

As veteran journalist Robert Parry said this week on ACR’s Patrick Henningsen LIVE show this past week, a “madness” has set-in in Washington and throughout progressive liberal enclaves throughout America, as the opposition still clings to the desperate hope that some actual evidence to support their conspiracies theories about Trump and Russia will somehow manifest and provide a short-cut to his ouster.

Hillary Clinton’s internationalist tribe, American and European progressive left, is at the precipice – an entire block of society who may have lost their minds – and who could end up committed in a political bardo.

Finally, some mainstream publications are beginning to come around to call it what it is, and that’s much welcome.

What is being called 'the left' now is not the left

The left is the pursuit of empowerment for the workers usually through the decentralisation of power down to the workers so that the workers own and control the means of production; this then empowers all people ending gender inequality, ethnic inequality etc

But what is being called 'the left' now is run by the capitalist oligarchs who want to create a centrally controlled technocracy that has every worker tagged, chipped, monitored and controlled. They want a cashless society and a surveillance panopticon

To prevent any coherent resistance to this process they have shattered the workers into many factions who are now engaged in infighting; they did this through 'identity politics'

They basically create a simplified narrative that portrays one group as a victim and that group then like that narrative so they latch on to it but the narrative never tells them that they are being screwed by the capitalist oligarchs it always tells them to wage war against something vague like 'white privilege' or 'the patriarchy' so that the workers then interprete that as a war against another faction of the workers

Meanwhile as the workers break into warring factions the oligarchy continues to build their centralised technocratic command-and-control society in the background

People aren't now struggling for the empowerment of ALL workers through the creation of a different system, they are struggling for affirmative action for the group they identify with within the system but still under the control of the oligarchs

the left has been hijaked and has lost its power

BBC spent £34 MILLION of your cash laying off hundreds of workers - then RE-HIRED them
THE BBC have spent £34.3 million making hundreds of staff members redundant - before re-hiring them soon after.
By Joey Millar
PUBLISHED: 11:35, Mon, Mar 13, 2017 | UPDATED: 12:02, Mon, Mar 13, 2017

The money-wasting fiasco has been condemned as a “lucrative revolving door” policy, involving 725 people over 15 years.

On average each staff member was handed a redundancy cheque of £47,000 - but many of them were subsequently re-hired.

Many were brought back as freelancers, according to the Daily Mail, but 286 returned on full-time staff contacts.

BBC slammed by MPs for ‘bias’ & ‘pessimistic’ Brexit coverage
Published time: 21 Mar, 2017 09:28
Edited time: 21 Mar, 2017 12:55

A cross-party group of MPs has slammed the BBC over what they called its “skewed” and “pessimistic” coverage of Brexit following the EU referendum vote in June.

More than 70 MPs have signed a letter to BBC’s Director-General Lord Hall, claiming the corporation has failed to “break-out of pre-referendum pessimism” and acknowledge the upbeat economic news following the vote to leave the EU.

The letter, which criticizes the corporation for representing the UK as a “xenophobic” nation that regrets voting Leave, warned the BBC’s future is “in doubt” if the public can no longer rely on it as an unbiased and trustworthy news outlet.

The letter’s signatories include Tory MPs who voted Remain amid concerns that Brexit would harm the UK’s economy, but who are now “delighted” to learn that gloomy economic forecasts may have been debunked.

“It particularly pains us to see how so much of the economic good news we’ve had since June has been skewed by BBC coverage which seems unable to break out of pre-referendum pessimism and accept new facts,” the letter says.
