wow kids need play time and to expend all their youthful energy in creative play. Who'd have thought? who'd have thought that trying to make kids sit in the same workplace conditions as their spiritually numbed parents in order to prepare them for the same mindnumbing 9-5 grind would unsettle kids?

Texas School Triples Recess Time, Solving Attention Deficit Disorder

Vic Bishop, Staff Writer

Public education is more stressful than ever for our children, as standardized testing requirements increase and programs like art, music and physical education are being phased out. The result of this type of environment is predictable, and the medical establishment and big pharma are making a killing by drugging active children with ADHD medications and other psychotropic drugs in order to ensure conformity.

There are better solutions. Meditation in schools is highly effective at reducing school violence and increasing concentration for learning. Higher quality nutritious and organic foods, rather than processed snack foods and fast foods, when served in school cafeterias are another part of creating an environment more conducive to the needs of children.

I was watching some TV at someones house recently. I don't have a TV so it was interesting but painful to see what kind of stuff is on TV these days.

There was a programme about how things have changed since the 1970's. The programme had a line up of shiny people from the liberal media world made up of women, jews, black people, gay people and some young hipsters who were born since the 1970's.

They then got these people to watch clips of TV from the 1970's and then comment on it and they also showed clips of stuffy, pipe smoking white men from the 1970's giving their opinions on TV programmes about some of the changes occuring in society.

Obviously the whole programme was framed in a pro-liberal way to make conservative views look dumb and regressive and to make liberals look hip and cool and with the times

There was within it an explicit attack on white men who were being blamed for various things and this is a common theme it seems these days with for example michael moore blaming 'stupid white men' for the worlds problems and progressive-left narratives speaking about 'white privilege', 'white nationalism' etc at the same time as progressives like merkl and george soros flood europe with poor, black muslims

The polarisation of western populations recently through brexit, trump v's clinton and mass immigration etc has brought all this into clearer focus

So what were all those stuffy pipe smoking white men worried about back then in the 1970's? Maybe they were worried that if the liberal left rose in power certain sections of society would then start attacking white men; if that's the case then we can now see that such fears were not unfounded!

So what's the answer to this cluster fuck?

Maybe some perspective could help bring the discussion back down to earth. Those white men that were being demonised in that programme were the people who were manning the factories and fields and building the roads and houses and buildings of britain. They were the guys cleaning up the streets and rubbish, making things, manufacturing things, mending things and designing things and so on. they were the guys providing clean drinking water and food for society and putting a roof over everyones heads etc

In short they were the people and the descendents of the people who have been protecting and providing for society since time immemorial and yet in very recent times some people with a clear ideological purpose have begun demonising those men

That's not to say that changes weren't and aren't required, they are, but this demonisation of men in general and particularly white men makes no sense and here's why:

Society needs tangible things which men mainly provide; those jobs represent the cake. Women on the other hand tend to be involved more in: administration, retail, child rearing and service industry jobs which form the icing on the cake (child rearing is arguably part of wider survival so part of the cake)

Without the icing the cake is insipid, bland and no one wants to eat it, but without the cake there is nothing to support the icing and it collapses in on itself. Also if you only eat icing and no cake you'll get sick!

Men are and have always been the thankless cake. Where a man might build a house a woman would then make that house liveable through the 'female touch', so clearly both contributions are necessary

Where do we see gay people now that they have are more openly gay? We see them in areas such as retail, fashion, media and so on which once again are icing jobs not cake jobs

Where do we see many jews employed? They are famously involved in media, banking, politics, diamonds and so on which are all icing jobs not cake

The programme that inspired this thread was blaming white men for being bigots for wanting to resist change but from my perspective as a white man in a cake job it seems to me that the hate these days is all coming from the icing towards the cake. It seems the icing hates the cake and wants to destroy it. But without the cake the icing will collapse.

So...there you are...we are stuck with each other! So instead of each side demonising the other why don't we recognise the importance of the contribution of each side and start appreciating that? But at the moment in the UK we are seeing manufacturing being gutted and cake jobs destroyed which in turn is destroying the economy which the banks are managing to hide through money printing in a process that will come crashing down before too long because it is unsustainable...we cannot live on dreams and empty air!

The destruction of the cake needs to stop and the icing needs to start recognising the importance of the role of the cake because without the cake there is no icing! Of course the cake is often conservative ie resists change because the role of the cake is to protect and provide which it does through stability

The more mercurial liberal icing types for example in the media who provide much of lifes razzmatazz and glamour but who seem to love to look down on the cake and cock a snook at it need to remember who it is that holds their world up

Chicago gets its first organic fast-food chain
Wednesday, March 01, 2017 by: Daniel Barker

Fast food has an undeniable appeal, despite its unhealthy reputation – it’s convenient, cheap and satisfying, making it attractive on several levels. On the other hand, fast food products are notoriously packed with unhealthy ingredients: highly-processed mystery meats, GMO products, pesticide-laden produce and more.

But is it possible to offer a classic fast food menu consisting of burgers, fries and shakes, etc. using all-natural, organic ingredients – and without having to charge exorbitant prices?

Benjamin Brittsan and his wife Nicolette are betting on the concept by opening the nation’s first certified-organic drive-thru burger chain, called Nic’s Organic Fast Food.

but for how long under his system?

it is financial chicanery like the banks being able to create money out of thin air through loans that is what has made these people so insanely wealthy

if we use money that is tangible and finite then they cannot play their banking tricks

We could use product for metals as you say, I could soon amass a good living this way, but right now I choose my skills and raw materials to make everything in house, as I just explained in the things you have made thread, but to make savings and not for profit.

Skills is the main catalyst everything else follows, if only 35 percent did this the Corporations would be next to non existent. This is why skills and labour are always removed from any paradigm in order to stagnate and starve them or lift them, but each time they are more controlled than the last, as they squeeze.

It's called "Isolation Starvation".

Solar-Powered Handheld Vessel Could Turn Hot Air Into Cool Drinking Water
Posted on March 3, 2017
By Brianna Acuesta

Scientifically speaking, photovoltaic modules on the outside of the device would absorb the solar energy throughout the day, which would then used to cool the air and produce condensation while also pushing airflow through the canister with a fan. The water drops that are produced would be collected in a small region of the device, and Ap recommends that if the device ever comes to fruition there should be small rocks added in order to provide necessary minerals.

Yes, Ap recognizes that, “It is still science-fiction, but for sure PV cells increase in efficiency, (only a matter of time) next to the speeding development of materials that store the cold of the night to help pre-cool the inlet-air during [the] daytime.”

'Aggressive' firms peddling myth pesticides are needed to feed world condemned by UN
Authors blame corporations for 'systematic denial' and 'aggressive, unethical marketing tactics'
Chloe Farand
Tuesday 7 March 2017 17:31 GMT

The idea that pesticides are necessary to feed the world’s fast-growing population is “inaccurate and misleading”, a UN report has warned.

The document, which is expected to be presented to the UN Human Rights Council this week, strongly denounced the “aggressive promotion” of pesticides by the industry as experts found the chemicals had “catastrophic impacts on the environment, human health and society as a whole”.

The authors of the report said the impact of pesticides on human health, access to food and the environment have been exacerbated by corporations’ “systematic denial”, “aggressive, unethical marketing tactics” and by having “obstructed reforms and paralysed global pesticide restrictions globally”.

Their equivalent lobbyists or the UN's own NGO's are UN-accountable to nobody so internal wranglings are guaranteed greed.

These Eugene costs simply don't care as long as they don't have to eat this crap, not only that the huge amounts of gas needed to dry the grains before storing the bulk will also incur huge carbon taxes in the interim. It will create a whole new kind of double whammy corn laws as before.

These greedy buggers simply won't stop until half the planet dies due to avaricial beurocracy and sheer ignorance for an extra buck in the bank per tonne and a ton of starved people who helped them grow it.

Boycott Monsanto and its products. Vote with your feet to change the world

Monsanto Has Lost $11 Million As Indian Cotton Farmers Begin To Use Indigenous Seed
Posted on March 8, 2017
By Jessica Murray

The corrupt company has been linked to the deaths of 300,000 farmers.

After illegally pushing a form of Bt cotton into India and Africa over 10 years ago, agrochemical company Monsanto is now losing millions of dollars due to farmers now planting their own indigenous seed. In the past, Monsanto has been accused of writing laws and breaking them in order to enter the Indian market.

However, the company has now begun paying heavily for their misdeeds, following more than 300,000 farmer deaths between 1995 and 2013, many of which were attributed to Monsanto. Farmer suicides throughout Maharashtra, which is considered to be the ‘Cotton Belt’ in India, have also been linked to the greed of the corporation, according to reports.

The Indian government has now begun actively promoting the use of indigenous seed, whilst also publicizing Monsanto profiteering illegally on Bt cotton seed.

NYC public schools dump Kellogg’s “junk” cereals, replace with organic brand
Wednesday, March 08, 2017 by: Vicki Batts

As healthy eating habits continue to take the country by storm, the New York City public school system has recently made waves by replacing some of their Kellogg’s brand cereals with a healthier alternative. Back to the Roots brand cereal, which is created by a small company from California, will be taking Kellogg’s place on school breakfast trays around the city.

The New York City public school system is one of the largest school systems in the nation, and district officials report that some 254,000 children eat breakfast at an NYC school every day.

Restore the bradbury pound to avoid economic crisis

THE BRITISH CONSTITUTION GROUP AND THE DEMOCRACY DEFINED RESTORATION CAMPAIGN
Please ensure that this evidence-based article goes viral –email it to everyone you know! Only our ignorance will defeat us! THE RULE OF LAW CAMPAIGN FAKE HOPE! FAKE AUSTERITY! FAKE DEMOCRACY! FAKE PARLIAMENT!
An essay which reflects only sadness and disappointment–Is there no-oneleftin the House of Commonswithdecency, integrity and honour?
By Justin Walker, British Constitution Group

With their main supporter, former MP Austin Mitchell, an Early Day Motion (EDM) was drawn upin November,2013. It read as follows:That this House notes that the hundredth anniversary of the Bradbury Pound on 7 August 2014 is a welcome reminder of the historic precedent for public credit as the sound basis for debt-and interest-free Treasury money and therefore the sound alternative to the national debt and interest-bearing bank money; congratulates the Forum for Stable Currencies for having promoted the public credit since 2002; and urges HM Treasury to follow John Bradbury’s model and address social, economic and political issues across party lines in one fell swoop and avoid wholly unnecessary austerity cuts.

Anarchists Fixing Potholes In Roads In Portland, Oregon
March 15, 2017
Vic Bishop

Over one half of every tax dollar we give to Uncle Sam is spent on ‘defense,’ yet anytime aa free-thinker questions the need to be ruled by a giant, bloated, corrupt government, the argument is that we need government because we need roads.

Public infrastructure is in serious neglect, though, and to set an example of this disconnect between reality and fantasy, a group of Portland anarchists has established a group which fixes potholes in public roads without notifying the government, and without using public taxes.

Off-grid living: Harvesting rainwater on a budget
Monday, March 13, 2017 by: D. Samuelson

As reported by Mother Nature Network, a 2016 Harvard study discovered dangerous levels of cancer and hormone disrupting industrial chemicals – polyfluoroalkyl and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in 33 states. Iowa’s rivers and water systems are filled with pesticides and herbicides utilized by industrial farming operations. This is just the tip of the iceberg, with the tens of thousands of chemicals, pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, and contaminants leeching into drinking water systems nationwide.

Water purifiers and filters can be part of the solution. But the other elephant in the room is the availability of this liquid gold in times of drought or electric disruption, as most municipal water systems are run by electricity. One man in Arizona has created a way to bypass all of these municipal water woes. As cited by Off the Grid News, due to the expense, this Arizona family didn’t drill a well. They solved their water dilemma with what they call “a rainwater harvesting system that is jerry-rigged.”

Using a combination of gutters, downspouts, drains, PVC pipes and huge 5000 gallon polyethylene tanks, they’ve created a unique culvert system and a series of structures to collect, store and purify the rainwater that provides 95% of their water needs. Considering that this home is built about “45 minutes south of Tucson, Ariz,” in the Sonoran Desert where they only receive about a dozen inches of rain per year, that’s quite a feat. You can take a tour of the property and see the system via this video. It starts around 2:40 into the program.

We have friends who live in Bermuda who have been doing this for decades where they collect the rain water and store it in stainless steel tanks below the house. This can last between rain downpours without needing mains water.

I would shy away from plastic tanks because of the BPA's.

Another friend has made a huge slate water tank and seals it with clay, this is used all year round for flushing the toilet and grey utilities like washing cloths and watering the garden, it sits right on top of the toilet itself as it's roof. These are still common place in many places throughout the dales.

There is also an old Mill that collects it ware from the run off from the surrounding hills which is channelled into the mill pond which lasts a few weeks between downpours which eventually stops after a few weeks without rain.

Here in the North East at Beamish museum there used to be 16 mills on a mile and a half stretch of the small beck all using the same water year round for free. We have in many ways gone backwards in the backwoods.

How to stop Google tracking your every move
March 17, 201710:46am

HAVE you ever checked your phone and gotten the feeling that you’re being watched?

Has an advertisement for a product or place ever popped up on your screen that you were just talking about?

When security researcher Mustafa Al-Bassam stepped into a McDonald’s last year, he “almost had a heart attack” when he was prompted to download the fast food restaurant’s app on his phone.

No, it’s not a coincidence. Your every move is being watched. Monitored. Analysed.

Yesterday I almost had a heart attack when I entered McDonald's and I had a notification on my phone asking me to install their app.
— Mustafa Al-Bassam (@musalbas) September 12, 2016
