Fascinating stuff. I wanted to find out more about the vesica pisces today, & here a nice video about it was conveniently posted. Thanks! Anyway, it's interesting how a lot of religious symbolism is based on sacred geometry.

Quote:
The triquetra (often, triqueta) is a tripartate symbol composed of three interlocked vesica pisces, marking the intersection of three circles. It is most commonly a symbol of the Holy Trinity (Father, son, Holy spirit) used by the Celtic Christian Church, sometimes stylized as three interlaced fish.

This symbol predates Christianity and was likely a Celtic symbol of the triple Goddess, and in the North, a symbol of the god Odin. Triplicities were common symbols in Celtic myth and legend, one of the possible reasons Christian beliefs were so easily adopted by the Celtic people.

The triqueta makes an ideal Christian symbol. It is a perfect representation of the concept of "three in one" in Christian trinity beliefs, and incorporates another popular Christian symbol, the fish, in its original form of the "vesica pisces. It is sometimes enclosed within a circle to emphasize the unity aspect.

In Wiccan and Neopagan belief, the triqueta symbolizes the triple aspected goddess (maid, mother, and crone). Some Christians have protested this "appropriation" of the symbol...however, ironically enough, the original Christian fish symbol was derived from an early symbol of venus, one representing female generative organs- making the triquetra perfectly appropriate symbol for a Goddess revival. The triquetra is also considered to represnt the triplicities of mind, body, and soul, as well as the three domains of earth- earth, sea, and sky.

Maybe someone is trying to tell us something?

From the latest message from Matthew (12/21/2008) at
http://www.matthewbooks.com/mm/anmviewer.asp?a=96&z=2

27. The evenly distributed energy of the pyramids permits the flow of energy from inner Earth out into the atmosphere and its return to the planet, like the cycle of expansion and contraction of breathing keeps your bodies alive. These structures are a province of third density worlds because they help maintain planetary life, whereas the vibrations in higher planes keep the energy flowing without external assistance. However, as part of energy’s “building blocks,” pyramidal shapes in solid or ephemeral usage are aspects of what you call sacred geometry, and people who are sensitive to energy fluctuations are especially drawn to pyramids and objects in that form.

Thanks Faulcon, will definately take a good look at these. There`s a great thread devoted to Haramein in this section but I haven`t gotten around to watching his presentation just yet - hopefully in the next week or two!

Orb, I think you would really like Nassim Haramein's work. He ties things together so brilliantly. In that video I linked above, he was talking about the earth having a black hole at its center. This was in 2003, I believe. Well, just the other day, the History Channel had a show on about how physicists think the earth might have a black hole in it. Well, they may be a little behind the ball, but it seems like they're catching up :-P

Excellent - I`ve only read good things about the man on this forum!

Unfortunately, like many other mystics, he may be ridiculed by the stoic scientific community - However if there`s truth to what he`s saying, there`s no doubt but it will eventually come to the fore.

Somebody posted this on my cetacean thread, & I thought I'd pass it along about sacred geometry & dolphins:

Quote:
Dolphins come from Sirius- The Blue Planet. The esoteric reason for Dolphins being on planet earth is not only to bring BALANCE but they are keepers of wisdom “ancient sacred geometry”. To those of you who can connect with them on an energetic level you will see these symbols. It is interesting to note that Dolphins use sacred geometry in their imagery and display this in their swim by swimming in pods in the shape of a pyramid and using the infinity symbol. All creation is sacred geometry, no thing is without it and it encompasses every THING including your thought patterns. It is the master of creation itself.

^ Thanks for that Faulcon - I`ll have a read through it now! I just said on your cetaceans thread http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49016 that I finished watching the first part of the Nassim Harameins presentation; really fascinating stuff - physicists could do with looking at their subject from a fresh perspective. Hopefully his work will be further explored in the coming years!

Default Healing Mandala

CG doesn`t mention it here but this mandala will be familiar to Reiki practitioners as the Cho Ku Rei which literally translates to, "let the power of the universe be here now."

Make no mistake about it, a very useful and powerful symbol when used correctly. Generally it is visualised by the healer over the weak area of the patient and then just allow the energy flow where needs be.

It can also be used over inanimate objects. For example, I have a wrist watch which was left to me by my grandfather and one day it stopped working. It`s an old wind-up type (no battery) and not worth much, only of sentimental value. I took the watch to two different jewellers but to no avail - they said it couldn`t be fixed.

One evening after meditating I got the idea to draw the Cho Ku Rei over the watch and let the chi/energy flow through it. Well to cut a long story short the watch began ticking again and hasn`t caused me any bother to this day (more than three years after I carried out the ritual). I don`t fully understand it, and I think we`re not ment to - Just let the energy do it`s own thing for the highest good of all concerned, and keep the mind out of it.
