Other than the fact that the guitarist and drummer were in different universes, it wasn't half bad....maybe you just had ti BE THERE to appreciate it.

I'm REALLY into metal and music in general for that matter, but as far as everyone who knows me is concerned, I'm THE authority on all things heavy

I'll try and find a dozen or so good songs on YouTube that most of you probably wont have heard before - all metal.

(this is the Black Dahlia Murder, absolutely incredible band, check out their lyrics too, beyond comprehension how this guy can write so well about some of the subjects covered..)

(this guy is too good

his most recent album is excellent)

(what can I say, Chimaira, the new album is sickness on a disc but not quite the earth-shattering business I was hoping for

all their albums have been worthy of your time)

(barely qualifying for metal but fucking awesome nonetheless, here's some Alter Bridge - definitely a worthy mention)

(Nile - and you thought you knew heavy before them

devastating band)

(ex-Pantera front-man with his golden-brown crew

WARNING: some riffs will irrevocably compel you to headbang)

(solid band, If Hope Dies)

(from a reallllly brutal album)

this should hopefully get some of you started down a few paths less-travelled!

Just everything he does, his singing, his songwriting, his sound, just flawless. He's the most impressive Metal artist ive heard.

I also love the way he sometimes takes the piss out of himself and makes "HeavyMetal" a parody in some ways.

But I must agree, Devin is an excellent artist. Just got his latest album 'Ki' and again it's totally different from what he's done before. Exactly what I like about his music, it never gets boring.
