YouTube urges content creators to speak out against Article 13
Andrew McDonald
Written by Andrew McDonald 6 days ago

YouTube is encouraging content creators to speak out against the European Parliament’s copyright reform initiative, claiming new legislation would force it to “block the vast majority of uploads from Europe”.

The video giant has launched a ‘Save Your Internet’ website and is using a corresponding hashtag to mobilise its userbase, urging content creators to make videos, tweet and “join the movement” against Article 13 of the EU’s proposed copyright legislation.

“Article 13 is part of European copyright legislation created with the intent to better protect creativity and find effective ways for copyright holders to protect their content online,” said YouTube.

Internet has short circuited the pyramid system for now........
John Brindley

THE INTERNET, love it or loathe it, has revolutionised the way everyday folk receive information….

But, as the Christmas advertisements say, make haste because this amazing offer won’t last much longer.

Before the days of the world wide web, the natural order for communication made perfect sense – but was open to all-too-obvious abuse.

Many people are aware that in the weird and not very wonderful world of Freemasonry, knowledge is disseminated on a pyramid basis.

So those at the top of the tree have most information and therefore are aware of what the Masonic order is all about whilst those at the bottom are almost as ignorant as you or I.

It’s a case, pardon the pun, of degrees.

And that’s the same system that operates in almost all areas of life.

The CEO of a corporation naturally has a much clearer picture of what is going on – and where the organisation is likely to go in the future – than the man or woman on the shop floor.

That makes good sense from the point of view that a boss is paid to juggle a large amount of information and make life-changing decisions that go beyond the pay cheque and in most cases the capabilities of members of the workforce.

Yet, at the same time, it means most folk live their lives without being in control of their destiny.

All too frequent are the stories of good men and women led to believe that everything was sweetness and light, then being told at short notice they no longer have a job.

The same system most certainly operates in important matters of state and government.

Again, this can be a blessing. Only a select few will have been privy, for example, to the United Kingdom’s Brexit negotiations or have read the 500-plus pages of Theresa May’s proposed deal.

Thank goodness for that, I hear you say.

But it also means we are left almost totally in the dark when that mass of information finally finds its way down to the general public in the form of newspaper articles and TV and radio news.

We are then left to judge what is really happening from little more than headlines, soundbites and contradictory views.

It’s like a game of Chinese whispers. The original message is all but lost in the frequent retelling to the point where you can hardly recognise it at all.

And so for centuries this has served the purposes of the elite or the establishment if you prefer.

They don’t want you to know the real reasons decisions that affect our lives are made.

Tell our potential ‘heroes’ that they are going out on a mission for oil and to protect the interests of the Illuminati and they wouldn’t get nearly so many people willing to sacrifice their lives.

So we are told that we are fighting a fearful tyrant that could bite us and ruin our lives unless we take immediate action.

But this system of downloading information to either keep the general public free of worry or misinformed – depending on your level of trust – has been revolutionised over the last 20 years.

No longer do we necessarily have to go through the filters of the government’s press office, Royal correspondents or news editors on national newspapers and feed off unreliable scraps.

The Internet goes a long, long way to dismantling the pyramid system and giving ordinary men and women the best possible chance of joining the dots and seeing the bigger picture.

Granted it’s not always a straightforward task. Dividing truth from error is often a complicated game of snakes and ladders and even the most discerning of us will be sold a dummy at some stage or other.

However you really do have direct access not only to established facts but the knowledge, views and opinions of a vast range of people from all over the planet at the mere push of a button.

And that is one major reason why more and more are questioning experts, previously unchallenged narratives and the motives of those who hold positions of power.

For the world wide web is no respecter of the divisions of society.

Life changing information is now available literally across the board for anyone who has the means to go online.

Naturally, though, just as truth seekers are maligned as ‘conspiracy theorists’, there’s a price to pay for trawling the web and discovering nuggets of information.

You’ll be told ‘not to believe all that rubbish on You Tube’ and ‘stop accessing those websites’ and they do have a partial point.

For, yes, in the multitude of information there is garbage as well as diamonds to be unearthed.

But the counter attack to people growing in consciousness and awareness runs far deeper than mere ridicule.

Videos, articles and entire sites are being taken down for all sorts of spurious reasons but instead is for the same cause we were denied access to this type of information in the first place.

For now we can tune in to truth seekers to discover esoteric knowledge, pearls about the real nature of reality we are never taught at school or in college, and have the scales removed from our eyes about the ways of the world.

But the elite will not allow that to happen for much longer.

They are already seeking to restore the pyramid system on the false premise that they know what is best for us.

Their plan is that we will be cut off from truth and regain our faith in ‘experts’ such as politicians, religious leaders, scientists and teachers.

But, whatever action they take, the ace is still in our hands – or more accurately our souls.

For then it will be a case of truth seekers cutting out the middle man completely and turning within more often for guidance and inspiration.

The elite can stall, obstruct and lie to us – and they will – but ultimately the ‘truth will set us free’ and that truth has always been best accessed directly.

Crackdown in Beijing: “Using Twitter is more dangerous than street demonstrations”
Oiwan Lam
December 12, 2018

Authorities in Beijing have launched a nationwide crackdown on mainland Chinese Twitter users.

The December 5 release of 42 testimonies collected by China Change, a Chinese human rights advocacy site, details the ordeals of hundreds of Twitter users who have been detained and interrogated by national security police officers since September 2018. In most cases, police have asked — if not forced — these users to delete their posts or accounts.

Although Twitter is blocked in mainland China, many netizens use circumvention tools, such as VPNs (virtual private networks) to visit the social media platform, get in touch with friends or access uncensored information and news.

In 2016, there were an estimated 10 million Twitter users in mainland China. A majority of the users used the site as a news-gathering tool, and refrained from making comments, but some were outspoken, actively making critical comments when retweeting news to their friends.

Mainland Chinese authorities have arrested Twitter users in the past, but there was no clear pattern or evidence of a strategic crackdown. Incidents were sporadic and random, like the 2012 arrest of a mainland Chinese Twitter user who made a joke about the collapse of the Hall of the People’s Congress.

EXPOSED: “NewsGuard” organization founded by globalists to censor independent media has ties to pro-Monsanto American Enterprise Institute propagandists
By S.D. Wells -
January 18, 2019

How do you know if news is guaranteed to be fake? Just look for the “News Guard” shield symbol followed by a check mark and the words “News Guard Rating.” If you’re not pro-war, pro-GMO, and pro-Clinton, your news will be “ranked” and labeled as fake news when given the stamp of the oppressors, who are NeoCon-backed “fact checkers” funded by the most abhorrent journo-terrorists and presstitutes of our time. We’ve already witnessed the total purge of independent media from social media sites, and now we’re seeing the beginning of the end of truth media on the internet.

This is an all-out war on independent (Indy) media waged by NewsGuard Technologies, an elite group of shills funded by neo-conservatives, Silicon Valley, and the immensely corrupt deep state of the U.S. government. These news hucksters put their “fake news” filter in full gear just after crooked Hillary lost the 2016 election in an effort to silence anyone who speaks out against the useless wars in the Middle East, vaccines, genetically modified food, pharmaceutical medications, mainstream lying media, or Leftist-ruled libtard social media.
NewsGuard lobbying to install its fake rankings of news sites on every computer in every U.S. public library, school, university, and on every smart phone and laptop sold in America

If the fake news Nazis get their way, every type of technology in America will be laced with a news rating system that ensures nobody knows the truth about anything anymore. Every false news narrative fabricated and regurgitated by the clones of mainstream media and scripted by the Communist-Socialist-Democrats will be deemed as real news, and anyone who questions it, debates it, exposes it, or even just intelligently challenges it, will be silenced and censored. Period.

Facebook’s Troll Hunter in Chief Nathaniel Gleicher Tied to Neocon Think Tank
While Facebook claims impartiality in its crackdown on “coordinated inauthentic behavior,” the loyalties of the man charged with carrying out that mission. if his resume is any indication, are not with the users.
February 01st, 2019
By Alexander Rubinstein @RealAlexRubi

MENLO PARK, CALIFORNIA — After Facebook purged thousands of independent media pages from its platform in October, one may be forgiven for thinking that Facebook couldn’t go any lower. But in the company’s second purge of 2019, the social media giant may have done just that.

The round of bans — doled out on Thursday to more than a thousand pages — was revealed in two blog posts: one focusing on pages that allegedly originated in Iran and another that took aim at activity in Indonesia. Not to be outdone, on Thursday Twitter also banned more than 2,500 accounts that it “believes may have origins in Iran.”

Additionally, 418 accounts that Facebook says “it cannot render definitive attribution to the [Internet Research Agency] for … although most appear to originate in Russia,” were also banned. Then 764 accounts “located in Venezuela,” a country in which the United States has been backing a coup attempt in since last week, were banned; and another 1,196 accounts “which appear to be engaged in a state-backed influence campaign” in Venezuela were also shuttered.

The Rise of the Robot Reporter
By Jaclyn Peiser
Feb. 5, 2019

As reporters and editors find themselves the victims of layoffs at digital publishers and traditional newspaper chains alike, journalism generated by machine is on the rise.

Roughly a third of the content published by Bloomberg News uses some form of automated technology. The system used by the company, Cyborg, is able to assist reporters in churning out thousands of articles on company earnings reports each quarter.

The program can dissect a financial report the moment it appears and spit out an immediate news story that includes the most pertinent facts and figures. And unlike business reporters, who find working on that kind of thing a snooze, it does so without complaint.

Untiring and accurate, Cyborg helps Bloomberg in its race against Reuters, its main rival in the field of quick-twitch business financial journalism, as well as giving it a fighting chance against a more recent player in the information race, hedge funds, which use artificial intelligence to serve their clients fresh facts.

“The financial markets are ahead of others in this,” said John Micklethwait, the editor in chief of Bloomberg.

In addition to covering company earnings for Bloomberg, robot reporters have been prolific producers of articles on minor league baseball for The Associated Press, high school football for The Washington Post and earthquakes for The Los Angeles Times.

BBC in 'no platform' row after 'axing a guest from discussion on transgender athletes after a trans panellist branded the woman's campaign group to 'the KKK' and refused to appear alongside her'

Nicola Williams, from Fair Play Women, had invite to appear on panel withdrawn
Rachel McKinnon, a transgender cyclist, and branded campaign like 'the KKK'
The BBC said Dr Williams was asked to appear later in the show

The BBC has become embroiled in a 'no platform' row after producers axed a feminist guest when a transgender activist refused to appear on a show with her.

Nicola Williams, from Fair Play Women, was invited on Stephen Nolan’s show to discuss controversial comments made by tennis star Martina Navratilova.

But the feminist campaigner says her invitation was swiftly withdrawn after her organisation was branded like the 'Ku Klux Klan', according to The Times.

Rachel McKinnon, a transgender world cycling champion and activist, refused to appear on the show alongside her and said her organisation led a 'smear campaign against me and other trans women athletes'.

Internet ‘part of western establishment now’: London ex-mayor on Facebook blocking RT-linked pages
Published time: 18 Feb, 2019 22:00 Edited time: 19 Feb, 2019 08:43

Amid a new media Cold War, the US and its allies are increasingly treating the internet as a tool to suppress any dissenting voices, former mayor of London Ken Livingstone said after Facebook blocked several RT-linked pages.

The world has been plunged in another Cold War, one increasingly waged in the media field with the target being people’s minds, Livingstone told RT in the wake of Facebook blocking several accounts with millions of followers after CNN and a US-funded think tank accused them of being “linked to Kremlin” via Ruptly, RT’s subsidiary video news agency.

The internet is a part of the western establishment now.

Livingstone noted “complete double standards” of this struggle against those who oppose the narrative of Washington and its allies. Almost every single state has its own government-funded media, such as the BBC in the UK, he noted. “In most countries, the staff working at the state media is supportive of that country and its government,” he said. Yet it only seems to be a problem when the narrative runs against the US policies.

The backlash gathers pace...

Statement from David Icke regarding last minute Australian Visa cancellation tonight.

By Jaymie Icke

Statement from David Icke after being banned from Australia today

This is a deeply sinister day in Australian history and should chill to the core every Australian. The government via Immigration Minister David Coleman has confirmed that it is overseeing the creation of a blatantly Orwellian totalitarian state and he has now set this out in black and white.

This decision is not about me – it is about the freedom of every Australian to choose what they wish to see and hear without the government imposing its narrative on a public it is supposed to be serving.

Coleman has revoked my visa hours before my flight and thus banned my speaking engagements which thousands of Australians from all ages and walks of life were planning to attend and he has done so on the basis of ‘open sources’, which simply means that he read it in the paper, and on the say-so of self-interest groups founded on such staggering levels of arrogance that they believe they have the right to dictate what the entire Australian nation can and cannot choose to hear.

Coleman said in a statement to me that my visa was revoked due to my denial of the Holocaust – something I have NEVER done – and a list of shocking lies circulated by a self-interest group and a Labor Party politician who actually claimed that I am campaigning for Holocaust denial to be taught in the schools. Perhaps the media might do its job and demand that he provides the evidence – because there is none. It is an outrageous lie.

Coleman also includes as reasons for my visa to be revoked my views on vaccinations and global warming. The Orwellian nature of this cannot be overstated. The Australian government, which claims to oversee a free country, is banning me from speaking because my views are at odds with that of the government. This is what happened – irony of ironies – in Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia.

The lack of self-awareness is breathtaking in that Coleman does not appear to realise that his decision is exactly in line with tyrannical governments of every shade that demand compliance with the officially imposed narrative.

This decision is obviously political and not based on supportable fact with Coleman admitting in his statement to me that I have visited and spoken in Australia ten times since 1997 without a single problem.

Coleman is a coward unable to summon the backbone to stand up for the freedom of Australians in the face of lies and self-interest groups, but he has seriously misread the public mood. As I know in travelling the world speaking in country after country with never a problem the public are sick and tired of being told what to think and say – and what they can choose to see and hear.

This will backfire monumentally on Coleman and his government because he clearly does not understand that public opinion will be disgusted by his actions and this will confirm to the population that freedom is in the process of being demolished in Australia.

Once gone – it won’t be coming back.

Anti-Zionism equals Anti-Semitism? Macron fuels debate on how to define anti-Jewish hate
Published time: 21 Feb, 2019 04:32 Edited time: 21 Feb, 2019 08:15

Addressing a rise in hate crimes against the Jewish diaspora in France, President Emanuel Macron has supported the expansion of the definition of anti-Semitism to outlaw anti-Zionism as well, fueling public debate over the terms.

“Anti-Semitism is hiding itself behind anti-Zionism,” Macron said Wednesday, speaking at the Representative Council of French Jewish Institutions (Crif) and announcing that France seeks to define “anti-Zionism as a modern-day form of anti-Semitism.”

The rise of hate crime incidents in France, including the verbal abuse of philosopher Alain Finkielkraut at a Yellow Vest rally last weekend and the desecration of a Jewish cemetery near Strasbourg, has prompted the French government to seek new means to fight growing animosity towards their Jewish population, the largest in Europe.

Now we see where the backlash is really coming from: from the TOP DOWN

A new wave of Internet censorship may be on the horizon
February 11, 2019 | Mike Morel

2018 was a pivotal year for data protection. First the Cambridge Analytica scandal put a spotlight on Facebook’s questionable privacy practices. Then the new Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) forced businesses to better handle personal data.

As these events continue to develop, 2019 is shaping up to be a similarly consequential year for free speech online as new forms of digital censorship assert themselves in the UK and EU.

Of chief concern in the UK are several initiatives within the Government’s grand plan to “make Britain the safest place in the world to be online”, known as the Digital Charter. Its founding document proclaims “the same rights that people have offline must be protected online.” That sounds a lot like Open Rights Group’s mission! What’s not to like?

Well, just as surveillance programmes created in the name of national security proved detrimental to privacy rights, new Internet regulations targeting “harmful content” risk curtailing free expression.

The Digital Charter’s remit is staggeringly broad. It addresses just about every conceivable evil on the Internet from bullying and hate speech to copyright infringement, child pornography and terrorist propaganda. With so many initiatives developing simultaneously it can be easy to get lost.

To gain clarity, Open Rights Group published a report surveying the current state of digital censorship in the UK. The report is broken up into two main sections - formal censorship practices like copyright and pornography blocking, and informal censorship practices including ISP filtering and counter terrorism activity. The report shows how authorities, while often engaging in important work, can be prone to mistakes and unaccountable takedowns that lack independent means of redress.

Over the coming weeks we’ll post a series of excerpts from the report covering the following:
Formal censorship practices

Copyright blocking injunctions

BBFC pornography blocking

BBFC requests to “Ancillary Service Providers”

Informal censorship practices

Nominet domain suspensions

The Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit (CTIRU)

The Internet Watch Foundation (IWF)

ISP content filtering

The big picture

Take a step back from the many measures encompassed within the Digital Charter and a clear pattern emerges. When it comes to web blocking, the same rules do not apply online as offline. Many powers and practices the government employs to remove online content would be deemed unacceptable and arbitrary if they were applied to offline publications.
