Default Oops. EUREF turnout 18-24 yr-olds 64% - "we got earlier data wrong"

They admit this now once they realise Brexit means Brexit.

EU referendum: youth turnout almost twice as high as first thought

You telling me they did not know the truth before?

Quote:
Bruter and Harrison say the lower and wrong estimate was based on information released by Sky Data which relied on data compiled after last year’s general election, which looked at the proportion within each generation who said they always vote.
Sky Data aka Sky news.

Wow. 64% of 18-24 year olds voted to leave. I am really surprised. It makes sense, though.

Turnout in this group was 64%

Quote:
The new findings – based on detailed polling conducted since the referendum by Opinium, and analysed by Michael Bruter, professor of political science and European politics at the LSE, and his colleague, Dr Sarah Harrison – suggests the turnout was 64% among this age group.
Maybe 64% of the 64% did vote to leave, but I doubt that.

The new, far higher, figures emerged after Opinium conducted post-referendum polling among 2,002 people that asked four questions about how and whether they voted.
Where did they ask this question ....London ?? I think the 36% is nearer the truth . 64% is bullshit .

Out is out, so it does not really matter.

That's not what the article says.

"The results found that 64% of those young people who were registered did vote"

"It is thought that more than 70% of young voters chose to remain in the EU."

64% was the turnout. I don't think we know whow many of them voted leave. Probably more than expected.

64% of young people VOTED, the article didn't say 64% voted to leave.
Either way, this information debunks the former story/excuse about a low turn-out.
