Default Pedophilia and the Christian Epidemic

http://www.skeptictank.org/clrabuse.htm

A Safe Heaven for Pedophiles
What you're about to read will probably be upsetting to most of you. As you read through the newspaper article references provided in this series, keep in mind that these people aren't NAMBLA (North Amercan Man/Boy Love Association) members; they're not vague "Satanists," Mafia kingpins, or heroin addicts. They're Christian Clergy of all brand names.

They're the priests, ministers, preachers, and religious "leaders" of our communities. They're the same moral "leaders" who scream from their pulpits about the "evils of homosexuality" and the "sin of fornication." They're the same "leaders" who demand all men (they rarely mention women) need "redemption" that "only the good lord Jesus Christ!" can provide.

A few of you might want to close your eyes and glibly claim, "Oh, but they're not True Christians" and thereby sluff the epidemic problem off of your shoulders and try to pretend it's someone else's problem. If you want to play that game then you're responsible for allowing it to continue unchecked. If you want to pretend Christians some how stop being Christians when they rape their first child, then YOU are responsible for allowing it to continue. The fact is that ending child abuse is the responsibility of all of us.

There are four unavoidable facts here:

1: The problem of Christian clergy child sexual abuse is so epidemic in Westernized socities that the "Sodomizing Priest" has become both stereotypical and cliche. It's not limited to one particular brand name of Christianity; it's not an aspect of ideological differences; it's epidemic to all Christian brand names.

2: Christianity doesn't create child-abusing pedophiles in numbers lesser than or greater than any other deity-oriented religion. What the Christian clergy does provide is a safe heaven for pedophiles. If Christianity were to finally be educated out of the world populace, these pedophiles would find some other "excuse."
Seemingly lacking any higher ethics and morals, many leaders of Christian child molesters most often don't even report such crimes. Any normal organization or individual would turn these people over to a police authority for the horrible crimes they committ against children. Indeed, to not do so is complicity in the felony and, as you'll see in this series, is often grounds for a successful civil lawsuit against their church.

Rather than turn the criminal over to the police authorities, most child molesters within the Christian clergy are sent to in-house "treatment centers" where "psychological therapy" is provided. The parents of the abused child most often complains to the clergy first and, after learning the priesthood is doing nothing to protect other children from their pedophiles, report the sexual abuse to the police much later.

In many cases children don't report the abuse to their parents due to feelings of guilt and due to threats made by their parent's Christian leader. It is only after they're old enough to have a say-so in which church (if any) to attend that they come forward and expose their victimization. Sadly, this means that in many cases statutes of limitations can kick in and the criminals can't be make to pay for all of their crimes. Since pedophiles rarely strike once, however, they eventually get reported by brave children who are specifically taught what bodily activities are not to be permitted by adults.

After they go through their period of "therapy," they often get shipped off to yet another church where, since their new congregations are never informed of their master's past, the cycle of abuse continues. (NOTE: "Megan's Law" now makes the location of convicted sex offenders public knowledge. THIS IS A WIN FOR THE GOOD SIDE! Everyone who has worked to get Megan's Law passed has made it tougher for Christian clergy to hide their convicted child moslesters within our communities.)

Thus -- whether unintentionally or not -- the Christian clergy ends up being a safe dating service for pedophiles. Pedophiles may safely gravitate toward the Christian clergy fairly confident in the knowledge that even if they're ever reported or get caught, they'll simply be moved to yet another location and be provided with new children to abuse.

The excuse is usually the demand that the Christian's church will take care of the problem and that there's no need to bring in the authorities. The result is that literally hundreds of thousands of children have been raped or horribly murdered by Christian masters who -- since they're known child molesters -- should have been in jail at the time.

"Treatment" in the context the Christian clergy uses obtains a meaning quite different from that of non-Christians. In this new and deceptive context, "treatment" means taking the Christian leader out of service and away from the public eye long enough for the exposure to cool off -- or be forgotten by all but the victim and his or her family. Once "cured," the pedophile leader is simply shipped off to abuse more victims.

There are very strong economic reasons for churchs to not want to remove criminals from their ranks. When the number of lawsuits and the money paid to victims start to reach a certain percentage of the obscene revenues the Christian relgion takes in, then the religion will doubtless start to police its own. (When in doubt as to what motivates an organization, the most accurate rule is "Follow The Money!")

3: Ironically, Christian "leaders" talk with strong emotion about "saveing the children," "world-wide Satanic conspiracies," and "the evils of homosexuality" while at the same time ignoring the fact that the Christian clergy is the single worst offending "profession" in America which sexually abuses children. (See "Sins of the Fathers" referenced in Section 1 of this exposure.)
The inescapable conclusion is that the Christian clergy screams from the pulpit in an attempt to draw attention away from their own horrid criminal activities and desires. It's also an inescapable conclusion -- due to the epidemic problem they create -- that they are successful.

4: Parents who murder their own children by starving them to death or by allowing them to die from easilly treatable diseases and other medical problems are doing so because their religious masters tell them to. As followers, the parents have no cognitive volition of their own when the health and safety of their children come second to obeying the dictates of their religious masters.
It is the priesthood which should be held accountable for the murder of children first and foremost; then the parents of the murdered child must be held accountable. Those who use religion to murder must be considered to suffer from a mental disorder and those masters who are responsible for feeding that disorder must be held accountable. Going after the parents is a small piece of the puzzle and ignores entirely the majority of the cause of the problem.
NOTE 1: It's important to note that most of the child-abusing priesthood are married and have children of their own. When male clergy rape boys, the act isn't considered to be homosexual in nature. It is the morphology of the child which motivates the child abuser to act, not the sex gender of their victims. (There are psychology text books in your local library which cover the aspects of child abuse. For references, see Section 6 of this exposure.)

NOTE 2: Some of the descriptions of the crimes committed might sound vague and unspecific -- or describe things which the reader may never have heard about before. In some of those cases I've added a brief bit of commentary. News reports intended for the general public are often vague and self- censored when it comes to instances of child sexual abuse and at times the wording may seem unclear and euphemisms will be employed.

"And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground." (Isaiah 21:9)

Commentary
Many soldiers have used Bible verses to justify horrific destruction against their enemy. Such beliefs can comfort the minds of men to do virtually any kind of atrocity against men, women, and children of the enemy. The Crusaders of the 12th century, slaughtered or tortured anyone who stood in their way. The Bible's words gave them their justification.

Even today, our government, military and religious leaders judge wars as "moral" based on Biblical reasoning. Fighting men feel, not only comforted, but glorious in their actions against the destruction of fellow human beings. In the Gulf War, for example, an F-16 fighter/bomber had "Isaiah 21:9" written on its bombs.

"And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes..." (I Chronicles 20:3)

Commentary

Chapters 17-19 (17-18-19) tells us that David killed 22,000 Syrians and that Abishai killed 18,000 Edomites. No one expresses shame at such slaughters.

Here in 20:3, we have David, counted as a great leader of the Israelites, slaughtering captives after the cessation of hostilities. From what high moral ground should we admire this action?

And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel. And the LORD said unto Moses, 'Take all the heads of the people and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.'" (Numbers 25:3-4)

Commentary
Those who worshipped other gods must die, and even more horribly, their heads displayed publicly. Either God never said anything so cruel, or we truly live in a cursed universe, ruled by a maniac Supreme Being.

Millions of people, today, switch their religions. If God had any interest in this ongoing process, there appears no evidence of this.

And Gideon said, Therefore when the Lord hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers" (Judges 8:7)

"Now Zebah and Zalmunna were Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword." (Judges 8:10)

Commentary
The Gideon Society places Bibles into motels and hotels across America. One would assume Gideon lived as a person of exemplary character and great worth to have a worldwide society named after him. Below describes some of Gideon's accomplishments:

Gideon slaughtered thousands in battle by plotting with the "Lord" to use Treachery.
Gideon murdered thousands more for worshipping "false Gods."
Gideon tortured and killed still more for daring to taunt him.
Gideon plundered the bodies of his victims (to fashion a jeweled priestly vestment).
Gideon fathered an offspring who killed 69 of his stepbrothers.
Read the story of Gideon in Judges, chapters thru 6-9 ( 6-7-8-9). The tale of Gideon describes just one of the many horror stories in the Bible, a book that glorifies behavior abysmal to modern society. The clergy and leaders have hoodwinked millions of people about the stories in the Bible. Don't let others decide for yourself.

"And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation. And all Israel that were round about them fled at the cry of them: for they said, Lest the earth swallow us up also. And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense." (Numbers 16:32-35)

Commentary
Moses relays a sadistic threat that asks us to believe that God punishes members of families, including innocent infants. And again we have the Satanic fire coming from God burning his creations.

"And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead." (Exodus 12:29-30)

Commentary
If we believe every word in the Bible as coming from God, then it stands to reason that the violent actions from the God described in Exodus cannot give us a moral comparison to live our lives in a peaceful world.

If one wishes to believe that God possess love for His creations, then the killing of innocent children cannot possibly come from God, and therefore, these verses from the Bible must have come elsewhere. But note that if one takes the Bible's words as absolute truth, then not only did God smote the firstborn children, but all firstborn regardless of age. This means all firstborn teenagers, firstborn men & women, firstborn octogenarians, and even all firstborn cows and bulls. Regardless of how much love, charity, or goodness they may have imparted to the world, if they had the unfortunate luck to have first passed through their mother's vagina in the land of Egypt, according to the Bible, God killed them!

Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel..." (I Chronicles 21:12)

"So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand men." (I Chronicles 21:14)

Commentary
David made an offense against God in taking a census of the people, so God gave David a choice. Oddly enough, David ignores God and never actually gets around to making a choice; so the Lord makes the decision for him and sends pestilence upon Israel.

It appears unclear as to why David committed a crime, but why shouldn't God have punished individual offenders instead of killing an army of innocent bystanders? Atrocities such as this appear outrageous enough when perpetrated by Attila the Hun, Hitler or Pol Pot, but when it comes from a, supposedly, loving God, it should make one wonder if this represents a Devil instead of a God.

"And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots..." (II Chronicles 14:9)

So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled. (II Chronicles 14:12)

Commentary
It appears that Black Christian Bible studies programs ignore these verses, for it says that the Lord God slaughtered over a million blacks.

The association of black with evil goes far back in Western Christian culture. The early Church fathers, Origen, Jerome, and Augustine of Hippo wrote about devils appearing as Ethiopians.

White racist groups (such as the Ku Klux Klan who think of themselves as opposite of black devils) see these Biblical verses as evidence to justify their beliefs. We still hear phrases such as "Prince of Darkness" or "Black magic" which link blackness with sin.

In the story of Ham and Japheth, the word "ham" has connotations of "hot" and "dark" in Semitic languages. To the ancient Israelites, as well as some modern Jews and Christians, the "children of Ham" had dark skin and lived in eastern Africa. Thus they see the "Curse of Ham" as a link with black skin and sexual license.

"And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts." (Exodus 11:4-5)

Commentary
After reading such verses, it would become apparent, even to a child, that this does not describe the actions of a loving Being. Anyone who reconciles the killing of innocent children with an intelligent and loving Creator can only come from great ignorance under the addiction of blind faith.
"Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize humankind."

--Thomas Paine

Unfortunately the "church" is a good place for child molesters to hide. Thank God people are coming forward with their stories and parents are becoming more aware. But remember, child molesters are EVERYWHERE. They are your family, your friends, your neighbours. The can be the people you least suspect. The children I have worked with were not raped by priests or ministers or Christians. Most of them were raped by their own family members, which is the sickest of sick! Here is a little statistic:

"Which Children Are Molested?

Children are most at risk from the adults in their own family, and from the adults who are in their parents' social circle. In fact, 90 percent of abusers target children in their own families and children who they know well. Furthermore, research suggests that the risk is across the board: Child molesters come from every part of our society, and so children from every part of our society are at risk.

TABLE 4

Which Children Do Child Molesters Target?

CHILDREN IN THE FAMILY

Biological Child
19%

Stepchild, Adopted or Foster Child
30%

Brothers & Sisters
12%

Nieces & Nephews
18%

CHILDREN IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Child Left in My Care
5%

Child of Friend or Neighbor
40%

CHILDREN WHO ARE STRANGERS

Child Strangers

Source: The Abel and Harlow Child Molestation Prevention Study.

Note: Since sexual abusers of children often molest children in more than one category, the categories total more than 100 percent. The same child molester may have molested his biological child and his stepchild, therefore, we cannot say that those two categories combined represent 49 percent, but must say that they represent a lower number.

Notice that only 10 percent of the child sexual abusers report that they molest a child who is a stranger.

Let's put the facts together:

Child molesters exist in every part of our society.
They molest children close to them, mainly children in their family or children in their social circle.
Most child molesters, 90 percent, report that they know their child victims very well.
We want you to look carefully at that last fact on the list. While there are several facts that you will use as part of The Child Molestation Prevention Plan, this is the most important.

To save the greatest number of children in the shortest possible time, we must turn the current focus of our efforts upside down. Right now, 90 percent of our efforts go toward protecting our children from strangers, when what we need to do is to focus 90 percent of our efforts toward protecting children from the abusers who are not strangers - the molesters in their families and the molesters who are the friends of their families.

And we must ask the next important question: What causes the one member of the family who molests to be so different from the rest of his or her family? To end nearly all child molestation we must focus on the cause. "

That's a really interesting article, chrys - thanks for posting. I wasn't aware of those percentages.

I too have been greatly saddened by the stories I have read in the papers about the abuse of children perpetrated by certain members of the clergy (or indeed anywhere). It's good to know that it's no longer swept under the carpet, and obviously must not be tolerated.

It's important to remember though, that only a small percentage of Christian clergy indulge in this disgraceful behaviour, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with them being Christian, but everything to do with the individuals concerned choosing a career where they would get unfettered access to children. Many child abusers become youth workers, or kindergarten workers, or teachers - some become clergymen. We must not allow the disgusting actions of a few bring any of those fine professions into general disrepute. (Which is why, of course, that the perpetrators must be seen to be appropriately and openly dealt with).

it's kinda unfair to say that Christians are paedophiles just because of the actions of a few minorities. i know many Christians and they are wonderful people. Just my 2 cents.

I personally think that it is impossible for a Christian or a Muslim to be a paedophile because ti totally negates the religions. Anyone who does these acts are not speaking for religious people, but I believe they are misguided. Sexual desire can escallate in to a dangerously strong emotion, which thankfully, most people can control though I am aware that many can't - not because they are evil but because they do not have mind control.

Sadly society promotes sex like its a snack - search google images for any type of innocent thing and you will no doubt get images of naked girls. it is inescapable - so how can we hold people to blame when they are being bombarded by sex and lust.

Jesus teaches in the Bible that even looking at a female with lust is adultery, which i think is a wonderful piece of wisdom because in fact, the intention in the mind is what commits the person to karmic law and not the action itself - it is all in the mind.

Respect to those indoctrinated "Christians" because you will not see the indoctrinated "Muslims" or indoctrinated "Jews" openly discussing the serious problem of Child Abuse that exists within their societies i.e. Islam and Judaism. On the contrary, Muslims and Jews will jump into threads such as this one and rarely cause any serious disruption to the discussion but hell mend those Christians or non religious people who openly discuss the problem of child abuse if Muslims or Jews are the offenders because discussing child abusers who are Muslim or Jewish is not permitted.

yes you will - I have been in mosques before where people have been speaking about fornication and the dangers from it, as well as speaking with Christains and hindus about being brotherly and working together to improve society. I have also been in churches and heard the same kind of dialogues.

All societies are blighted and concerned by the issue - just, from what I can tell, muslism do not really get a public voice in this country unless it is to suit an agenda, such as terrorism or invasions. And the BBC certainly will not show the numerous Arab nations standing out against all kinds of things we hate, because it does not suit the image the MSM want to portray.

Mosques (especially mosques) and churches are not 'open' to the entire world in the way forums are. I am referring to this forum.

Yes they are - all people are welcome to go and listen to the talks or watch the activities (you can even volunteer and help), and depending on the day or the event, you can debate and discuss with the people or get the Imaam or Priest to have a one on one discussion; just the same as here. You should try it, you will learn some stuff!

There is just as much problem with child molestation/abuse in Judaism and Islam, but what happens is the person pointing it out repeatedly in Muslims, is a fundamentalist Christian and totally denies it in his own religion. Instead, he says "no TRUE/REAL Christian molests children" but that same thing could be said about Jews or Muslims. This is why I will often point it out to this person specifically posting repeated threads throughout the forum, as a matter of fact, that is the ONLY posts by said person.

It seems that most threads on these forums at the moment are either about race or religion.
What's with all this division crap?

Paedophiles are attracted to the priesthood because of access to children, just like they are attracted to teaching and social work.

statistically there is unlikely to be any difference between the religions

Except satanists of course who are pretty much all paedophiles.

Yes, exactly. Paedophilia is NOT a tenet of Christianity!

Most genuine satanists are preachers and regular attendees in synagogues, mosques, churches and organisations allied and associated with them.

There is not less of a problem with child molestation/abuse in Judaism and Islam that is certain.

I did for 15 years. Unlike you i wasn't dumb enough to allow my self to become a religiously manipulated mind-controlled defender of liars, thieves, fraudsters and pedophiles, Synagogues, Churches and Mosques...all P's in the same Pod and closed to free-thinkers (people who recognise bullshit when they see or hear it).

am not a religious man in the dogmatic sense, but am a very religions spiritual Occultist Mystic-want-to-be, so not sure what your dig was about. and am not trying to defend anything other than equality and truth. If you wish to portray all Christians Muslims and Jews as evil good for nothings that is your business, but you should not expect everyone to accept your view, just as there is no expection for anyone to accept mine.

Don't try and put a spin on my words. If and when i mean all in regards to any subject i will use the word all in regards to the specific subject. Synagogues, Churches and Mosques are not Christians, Muslims and Jews. There is no equality and little truth to be found in religion hence the reason why there is an immense gap between those living in poverty and those living in luxurious wealth all around the globe. Religion has had enough millenniums to sort out that problem, instead of doing so it has increased the gap. I do not expect nor do i care whether any one accepts my view, i am not religious.

Well, you kinda alluded to all ("all Ps of the same pod"), but what ever.
