It's about the melody. Music has the capacity to radically lift/elevate my mood, soul and general health.

Stuff like grungy, gangsta rap, metal, Beatles, Stones etc can actually have the reverse effect. I have been known to leave a shop complete with a full trolley if there is a sequence of shit music being played.

I would love to know if anyone has done research on the energetics of music on human energy, a bit like cymetics.

I used to be eclectic. But now it's just DNB.

Can't believe it myself actually. It's an obsession.

Apart from being enormously creative, the genre remains anti-establishment after 25 years, and has never had any boundaries in terms of race, sex, class, etc. (Despite the right wing press trying to make it a 'black' thing back in the 90s).

It's not for everyone right now, but there's still time.

Drum and bass. That's all.

Classical music for me! Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Rachmaninov, Chopin, Debussy. I'm not into pop music- the only group that I like a lot is only loosely "pop"- Sigur Ros. Jonsi is cool.

As a delivery driver I listen to quite a bit of rap, mostly from artists who are not money minded. Redman for example, his music has an element of comedy and is good for keeping me from being stressed while working almost minimum wage to make some one else rich.

But that's just at work. I actually listen to all types of music.
Drum n bass taking up most of my listening time and a bit of smooth radio mixed in here and there, you can't go wrong with a little Lionel Richie now and again

The Beatles and Pink Floyd.
Even went into Soft Machine where others wouldn't.
Not much modern stuff. MGMT and Die Antwoord.
The last are the latest transhumanism scare but listening to their stuff, I can't find anything about that subject.
Yeah, it's a distraction etc, but it's? good sounding distractions!

Ber-RILLIANT!! I did something similar once. The checkout chick had a birmingham city necklace, waited til she rang me through then told her I changed my mind, selfish and petty but certainly got me a few beers that night.

Ever hear of an Irish DnB/Jungle DJ who lives in the US called DJ Dara?
