When color TV was still new in Korea in 1980, this movie was on the TV several times. I watched it several times and remembered this song. Gary Cooper was still one of the most famous Hollywood stars in Korea back then, because of old American movies on Korean TV.

I liked American Western movies and songs. The story was very simple and straightforward. Good guys win, bad guys fail.

One of the best Western movie, "Shane".

The theme song was very impressive with the message, no violence is tolerated until we use it on the bad guy, even so, the good guy has to leave for the peace thereafter.

I picked a Japanese version because this one sounds more delicate.

@glitter

Dinah Washington is one of my favourite's, I especially love her version of "Fly me to The Moon" and "Rags To Riches" but I've chosen another track as, I'm sure there isn't another to top this one.

You've all posted so much lovely music. I'd never heard of Carlos Gardel but what a beautiful voice. I do love Country and Western too. My favourite as a child was Frankie Laine his best performances were Jezebel and my favourite...
(This is the version from my childhood)

Here is a very beautiful song from the musical film "Paint Your Wagon" which I watched as a child and this song always stood out in my mind.

In the sixties a Spanish guitarist named Manitas de Plata burst onto the scene on our TV screens. he grew-up in the traditional Spanish way with dancing and music and learned to play from a very young age. He became so accomplished at playing the guitar he was dubbed "Silver Hands". Here he is playing a Rumba with his companion Manero.

Ah! Josephine Baker! One of the many talented acts that toured Europe during tough times both in America and UK. I love the 30's. Here's a great musical act from some film footage that was quite amazing for it's time and so beautiful.

Two of my favourite artist's that toured Europe were Big Bill Broonzy and Eartha Kitt.
