The Savile Connection

Greetings all.

I've been hard at work trawling through the JS thread in Today's News. This is my attempt so far, to piece together the relationships that Savile had in his life, and see how it fits in to the big picture. I've attempted to do this with a visual representation, backed up by sources to explain the links where ever it is possible.

Please note this is very far from being considered even remotely finished, therefore I don't recommend "distributing" this at the moment, since it is currently incomplete, not completely sourced and could possibly contain mistakes. It would not be beneficial to have multiple, incomplete and possibly slightly incorrect versions floating around, so perhaps consider waiting until we reach a stage where it can be considered mostly watertight. It can then be expanded on further from that point.

Build upon Leah McGrath Goodman and visually explain her connection to the Jersey Care Home (Cameron related?)
Include the various police forces which have repeatedly ignored complaints, search for other links related to them.
Add much more information about Sutcliffe / Broadmoor / Jimmy (this could be a diagram of it's own)
Explain more of the BBC's role
Build upon Royalty's links dramatically.
Add source locations in for various things which I missed to source.

If you spot any mistakes, have reason to doubt the validity of a source, or have knowledge / a source of a new "link" between parties, please post in this thread. I want this to be as accurate as realistically possible, given the scale, and things will slip by my notice. With a thousand eyes, we shall see so much more!

I appreciate it's a work in progress, but Ken Clarke needs to be added pronto
heading up bilderberg this year, health sec. at time of vile given keys, ben fellows allegations, soft on crime and rape etc

I commend you for your action and a huge task, this is what is needed as the information overload in other threads can end up being swamped and bogged down with the nitty gritty parts lost..when I get the time I will try and add something worthy of note..

Grandsecretary vehemently defended him and mentioned he dined with him on occasios (from memory) hopefully a definite link will emerge..

I think the Ripper connection could go some way as I knew someone that was at the trial the polce mentioned and a national newspaper (threatened being sued) the fact his wife Sonia knew more than she let on..

THAT'S THE BABY!!

Very well done that man... exactly what I was trying to do; been toying with a flat file structure and filling it in, but so little time! Would be great to flesh out the details on this thing; NAME\DATE\PLACE connections as well, to be able to see temporal connections; or 'near misses' to see if people are visiting the same places at different times etc.

Awesome piece of work. This could be real good!

The other female MP involved with P.I.E. is Patricia Hewitt. This is from the Telegraph today:-

''Harriet Harman is calling for an independent inquiry into the Jimmy Savile scandal. A key question, she says, is why so many alleged victims felt “they couldn’t complain”.

Well, one answer is that attitudes towards paedophilia in the 1970s were bizarrely relaxed – and not just in Catholic presbyteries or BBC dressing rooms. This was the era when activists on the radical Left lobbied long and hard for changes in the law to reflect a more “enlightened” attitude towards sex between adults and minors.

But that won’t be news to Hattie. In 1978, she became legal officer for the National Council for Civil Liberties (NCCL), which – in its evidence to the Criminal Law Revision Committee in 1976 – had said the following:
“Childhood sexual experiences, willingly engaged in, with an adult result in no identifiable damage… The real need is a change in the attitude which assumes that all cases of paedophilia result in lasting damage.”

To be fair, the NCCL’s quite revolting parliamentary submission was written two years before Harriet joined its staff. But one wonders why she wanted to work for an outfit whose views on sex with minors were known to be extreme, even by the standards of the day.

In 1977, months before the future deputy leader of the Labour Party took up her post, the NCCL was quoted in the Evening Standard on the subject of the infamous Paedophile Information Exchange, the “information” in question being disgusting pictures of children involved in sex acts which members would pass to each other in plain envelopes. “NCCL has no policy on [the Paedophile Information Exchange’s] aims – other than the evidence that children are harmed if, after a mutual relationship with an adult, they are exposed to the attentions of the police, press and court,” said a spokesman.

In April 1978, the NCCL published a briefing paper on the Protection of Children Bill that was before Parliament. The author – one Harriet Harman – was worried that the draft Bill placed the onus on adults caught with film or photographs of nude children to show that they were possessed with a view to “scientific or learned study”.

“Our amendment places the onus of proof on the prosecution to show that the child was actually harmed,” she wrote.

Ms Harman maintains that she always opposed child pornography, and is not on record defending belief in “harmless” paedophilia, though it was held by her employers while she worked there. But no such excuse can be made for Patricia Hewitt, who was general secretary of the NCCL from 1974 to 1983 – i.e., during the period when it issued the notorious 1976 submission.
In 1982, the future Labour health secretary published The Police and Civil Liberties, in which she discussed the imprisonment of Tom O’Carroll, secretary of the Paedophile Information Exchange, for conspiracy to corrupt public morals. “Conspiring to corrupt public morals is an offence incapable of definition or precise proof,” wrote Hewitt. The fact that O’Carroll was involved in distributing child porn “overshadowed the deplorable nature of the conspiracy charge used by the prosecution”.

As it happens, I agree that the BBC can’t be trusted to conduct an investigation into the Savile allegations, or anything else, for that matter; a public inquiry is probably the way forward. But, for God’s sake, let’s make sure no one who sits on it was connected to the National Council for Civil Liberties, which in its own way did as much to make life dangerous for children as the nudge-and-wink culture of 1970s disc ''

Hi all, thank you for all the replies, I'm ecstatic to see it's so well received.

A bit thank you to all of you who have given suggestions as to where to go next with it. I hope to get some more done a little later today and release an expanded, updated version.

Some people have mentioned opening this up for collaboration. I'm happy to do this, and originally I was looking for a suitable online drawing tool that would be robust enough to do everything that was needed. Unfortunately, I was unable to find a suitable online-tool and have settled for an offline program called SmartDraw.

Collaboration is possible through cloud storage, however it has the chance of getting messy with different people working on different versions. If anyone has any suggestions as to how to make collaboration possible without things getting too complicated, I am all ears.

Sorry for the slow progress on this, people. I certainly don't want to leave this unfinished, having done as much as I did.

Truth is, the same night after I posted this thread I had big internet problems.... I know you're all going to think it was foul play, maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, but either way I'm back online now.

Having stopped for a few days I've totally lost momentum and where I was in the Savile thread. It's very difficult to search through that gigantic blob of a thread looking for the info but it is there, and I will continue. I'm just letting you all know you may need to wait a bit longer for the next updated version...

Also, as this thing grows, I'm concerned about how easy it will get to work with / see what's going on. I want to avoid having lines all over the place making it difficult to see, but in truth, there ARE connections everywhere, and they have to be shown for what they are...

Suggestions / discussions are more than welcome.

Hey don't worry about it.

The Savile story has run it's course pretty much, it is finished for this moon cycle; I would be very surprised if it carried on.

Although yesterday teh Mail did run a story that police are to investigate Tom Watson's claims about child sex rings in the circles of power, which is the first time I've seen a direct link between Savile and the mainstream elites. That is good news, so maybe we will change tracks and that scandal will break?

Even if it doesn't we have reached masses of people during this month, so if this story does break, many will be already 'in the know'. I think we have actually just seen the hundredth monkey!

Even if we don't roll the state over this time round, the awareness of the masses has gone up by thousands and thousands.

I'm taking a bit of a back seat and going to try to collate what we have, don't have much time so don't hold your breath but I'll give it a shot!
