Exclamation America - Indefinite Detention, new law

Terror suspects in America could be held in prison indefinitely - without charge or trial. That's if the Senate passes a controversial bill which has already been signed off by the White House and the House of Representatives. The military will be able to take custody of alleged terrorists virtually without question. Critics say it would be a stark violation of human rights. The White House initially objected to the bill, but later changed its mind. John Glaser from Antiwar.com thinks the administration is indulging in smoke and mirrors.

It's sad, most people would gladly give up their rights and freedoms in exchange for a few lies and trinkets.

Make no mistake though, this is happening now, that's why they're passing PIPA and running tests so they can shut down all communications during their raids.

The senate passed NDAA so they can arrest whoever they want now, humanity just lost the war against stupidity.

One of the first promises made by President Obama when he first came to power back in 2008 was to close the controversial Guantanamo Bay detention center. Four years later it is still operational. The former chief prosecutor of the Gitmo military commissions, Colonel Morris Davis, who was thrilled when Obama took office, told RT of his huge disappointment in the US president.

President Barack Obama has signed a controversial defence bill that basically allows the indefinite detention of terror suspects. The U.S. president said he had 'serious reservations' on some provisions regarding the treatment of detainees. But as Marina Portnaya reports, during his time in office, Obama's shown he's not always good to his word.
