Turkey pursues a policy aimed at bringing a part of Syrian territory under its control, says a Middle East expert, Press TV reports.

“Turkey wants to carve up areas [in Syria] and wants to annex it for itself. Turkey is more active than the Americans in this war in support of ISIL, not in fighting them,” said Saab Shaath, an author and Middle East expert from Belfast, told Press TV in an interview on Wednesday.

“Turkey has been involved in [supporting] ISIL from the very beginning; they supplied, trained, opened their borders for ISIL, organized resources for them, and [Turkey] even sells their oil to them. Turkey is the godfather of ISIL,” Shaath said.

The US and its allies, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Jordan, have been conducting airstrikes against the ISIL inside Syria since September 22, without any authorization from Damascus or a UN mandate.

The airstrikes are an extension of the US-led aerial campaign against ISIL positions in Iraq.

The ISIL terrorists currently control large swathes of territory across Syria and Iraq. They have carried out heinous atrocities in both countries, including mass executions and beheadings of people.

Damascus will consider any Turkish military intervention in its territory as an act of aggression, Syrian Foreign Ministry says a day after Turkish lawmakers authorized military operations against ISIL terrorists in Syria and Iraq.

In a statement on Friday, the Syrian ministry said the "declared policy of the Turkish government represents a real aggression against a member state of the United Nations."

The move is a "flagrant violation of the United Nations charter, which stipulates respect for the national sovereignty of states and non-interference in their domestic affairs," the statement added.

The ministry also accused Turkey of having provided political, military and logistical support to terrorists and aided the arrival of foreign militants in Syria.


"The international community and, in particular, the Security Council, should act to put an end to the adventures of the Turkish leadership, which represents a threat to world security and peace," the ministry added.


On Thursday, Turkey’s 550-seat parliament voted 298-98 in favor of a motion that would provide the legal ground for Ankara to deploy forces to Iraq and Syria and launch attacks against ISIL terrorists, members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and even Syrian government forces.

GENEVA, October 3 (RIA Novosti) – Signs of genocide in Ukraine are becoming more and more evident as mass graves are being discovered in eastern Ukraine, the speaker of the lower chamber of the Russian parliament said Friday.

“A lot of tortured and killed civilians are being found in territories recently controlled by Kiev, more and more secret graves are being discovered… Signs of genocide are becoming more and more clear, [signs of] a national regional Russian-speaking minority being killed only for belonging to this group,” State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin said.

On September 23, several mass graves with over 400 bodies of civilians and pro-independence fighters, apparently killed execution-style, were found some 21 miles northeast of the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk.

Independence supporters of southeastern Ukraine claim that the massacre was carried out by Ukraine's National Guard fighters, who had stayed in the area since April, when Kiev launched its military operation in the region. Ukrainian authorities have denied the accusation.

Earlier in the week, Russian Investigative Committee claimed it has irrefutable evidence of the National Guard and the Right Sector nationalist group's participation in the mass killings.

ISIL opens 1st consulate in Ankara

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists have purportedly opened a consulate in Turkey and use it to issue visas for those who want to join the fight against the Syrian and Iraqi governments.

The Turkish daily Aydinlik said in a recent report that the consulate was founded in the Cankaya district of the capital Ankara.

The militants are said to be operating freely inside the country without much problem.

Other reports said the members of the Takfiri group have rented luxurious houses in the upscale neighborhood of the capital and Istanbul and use them for residence or as offices.

The terrorists are said to be using minibuses with black windows to get around the city.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control parts of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shias, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Izadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The terrorist group has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.

The United States started conducting airstrikes on the ISIL only after US interests were threatened by the militants.

If they are then the turkish government knows all about it. There is no way Isis could operate freely in turkey unless they had the blessing of the turkish government.

How can countries like Saudi, Turkey and Qatar support ISIS with out international outrage and sanctions?

Who is ISIS selling its oil to?

Let me tell you this then, Turkey along with other US satellite nations (Qatar, Saudi's etc) have been supplying weapons and training within Turkey. The cowards at the top of Turkish government ARE responsible for this so called group IS/ISIS/ISIL/ISID etc.

Erdogan and his yes men have been cought red handed sending lorry's full of weapons to these pawns. This is a game played by the usual gang to get in to Syria and to draw Iran to a major conflict. Nothing more nothing less. I find it quite disturbing from people on this from refusing to believe the documented evidence which is all around the net! Then they repeat the MSM headlines like the ordinary assholes who are screaming for WAR!

How is it bizarre? These countries are the ones responsible for the ISIS brand. They are the ones supplying and arming this fringe made up group with everything they need, including mercinaries. This is so obvious but yet people cannot see it.
