He may well be an inarticulate working class man but hes got more common sense that those Guardian people. My family originated from the slums of scotland road in Liverpool but I think I have more common sense than those lunatic leftists.

Reports of an attack on EDL man's Luton home are being investigated by police in Bedfordshire.

Officers were called to Kevin Carroll's home in Bolingbroke Road, Luton, late on Thursday after reports an object was thrown against the window of the house.

Mr Carroll said he went to investigate and saw a man who appeared to be holding a shotgun. No shots were fired.

Officers carried out a search of the area, but no offender was found.

Police said they were trying to establish what happened and wanted to talk to anyone who saw anything suspicious.

Hi, it's Tommy Robinson,

A Muslim with a shot gun attempted to shoot Kev. They threw rocks at his window to draw him out of his house. He and his family are with armed police. I also have a police guard at my house.

They won't stop us. We will continue. We will defend ourselves.

Luton demo would still go ahead... even if one of us was killed!

As always - no surrender. Not now! Not ever!

It is with regret that I have to give you this news, but tonight we have seen the religion of peace in its full glory. One of the EDL leaders, Kevin Carroll, has been targeted by Muslim gangs in Luton and has been shot at several times. Details are a little sketchy as armed police have the area contained at present...Kev and his family are safe. I can confirm that. More info to follow. No surrender.

When we reported on the attempted armed attack on one of the EDL leaders late last week, it was pointed out that Islam hates opposition. And that when Islam meets with opposition the only way it can deal with that opposition is with threats of death, physical intimidation and violence.

Many people were cynical enough to believe that it was a ploy by the EDL, close to the demonstration in Luton, to gain support and sympathy for the cause.

But last night fifteen armed men, one of them allegedly armed with a firearm, turned up at the home of the EDL's chief spokesman,

Guramit Singh, intending, at least, to intimidate and frighten him. Guramit, confronting the men with his Rottweiler, showed that neither he nor the EDL will be cowed or intimidated. The men fled and not long after the armed police arrived and Amit, as he is affectionately known, was escorted to the local police station to give a statement. Afterwards, he was collected by members of his EDL division and taken to a safe house with police protection. The police are still at his home at the present time.

i don't feel anyone should be attacking these men for their beliefs, it is not the leaders of the movement that are the problem, if they are serious about an islamic reformation they should be engaging with, for example, the council of ex muslims and those within the muslim religion who seek to practice their religion without the 7th century dogma, which they don't appear to be doing. Also with a few exceptions, most of their followers don't seem to be able to understand what it is within islam that is the problem, many muslim reformists want the same thing as described in the first 2 parts of the edl's mission statement, as with all political movements rotten apples spoil the barrel, unless they take responsibility for the education of their members the edl will damage the fight against islamic extremism, and hinder the progress of long standing groups trying to eradicate human rights abuses sanctioned by 7th century standards of interpretation of the qu'ran. The uaf also damage the legitimacy

(cont) of movements seeking reform by labelling anyone critical of non-secular islam as racists, although many supporters of the edl are, there are many within and without the edl who are looking for the reformation for the right reasons, to combat age old rules which are no longer considered acceptable in a secular society.

I just can't see how a working class lad from Luton is going to persuade Muslims from following the tenets of their Koran. I understand how he is concerned with the fundamental aspects of Islam, and he is right to voice those concerns, but the learning curve he is on is so steep and wide ranging that he needs more than disaffected youth to aid him on his climb.

He was right to suggest that Muslims should be addressing the fundamental zealots of their religion, but he is not right to bring the concern of Muslim men pimping non-muslim girls as part of the fundamental aspects of Islam. It is an entirely separate issue, more social than religious.

Paxman allowed him to wax unlyrical in order to let him show himself up as the simple man he claimed himself to be. EDL need to focus themselves only on the fundamentalism of Islam, which is why they say they have formed. They need to separate out and make the distinction between what they protest against as Islamic fundamentalism, and that of local social problems involving Muslim males. The former is religious intolerance, and the latter has the makings of racial intolerance, between the two is a fine line which overlaps at certain points.

Personally, I think the issues are far more embedded and far more complex than they can be simply stated. It's a can of worms that is opened at everybody's peril...but perhaps, they do need opening for the debate to begin?

Where have the Palestinian Christians gone
http://www.davidicke.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104104
Why do we never hear about this?

Ten thousand Lebanese Christians were massacred in 1860s, while over 100,000 were killed in the Lebanese civil war of 1975-1990. Thousands of women were raped. That war was provoked by Yasser Arafat's PLO. Damour was once a thriving Christian Lebanese village until 500 (primarily young boys) were massacred and its population was expelled. This sort of violence and intolerance symbolizes treatment of Christians by Muslims in the Middle East. And, instead of an international arrest warrant Arafat received a Nobel Peace Prize!
Even non-Muslim Christians under Palestinian-controlled areas ["West Bank" and Gaza] are not faring so well. Bethlehem was 70 percent Christian in the 1970s. Today it is close to 70 percent Muslim. The growing Islamization of Palestinian society makes Christians very uncomfortable. The size of the Christian Arab community in the West Bank may have fallen as low as 10,000, a drop of 50 percent since the mid-1990s.

Why have two million Christians fled the Middle East in the last twenty years? One of the most important aspects of the Israeli-"Palestinian" conflict that has been overlooked is the plight of Christians in the Holy Land. Christians in the "Palestinian" territories have dropped from 15% of the Arab population to just 2% today! This Christian exodus is a result of many factors, including the fighting between Israelis and "Palestinians," the related decline in the economy, but perhaps most significantly, the religious persecution these Christians encounter from their Arab Muslim neighbors. This film (SORRY THE LINK NO LONGER WORKS) is a documentary containing interviews with Christians as well as exclusive footage showing how dangerous their situation is under Islamic rule

Do you wanna also include or talk about Buddhists, African Christians/tribes & Hindus or Amaydiyya Muslims (who are considered not real Muslims by others) in other countries..that have been killed, forced from their lands by Islamists.

No didn't think you did.
