Barley Splatt, Graham Ovenden's estate on the edge of Bodmin Moor in Cornwall, was an extraordinary place to be in the 1970s and 80s. The house was eccentric: a neo-gothic creation built out of Cornish granite complete with turrets and slit windows; the 22 acres of grounds – featuring lovely beech woods and a tumbling stream – were stunning. Ovenden and his wife, Annie, entertained artists, writers and musicians.

Children were encouraged to run free – and naked, in warm weather. They were also asked to pose for Ovenden: sometimes clothed, sometimes in the Victorian outfits the artist kept in dressing-up boxes, but often nude. When he gave evidence at Truro crown court, Ovenden portrayed the house as a new Eden – a place where children could live as nature intended, unbound by the constraints of a modern world suspicious of nakedness in children. But, it has become clear, there was a darker side to Barley Splatt.

Ovenden was accused by four former girl models, now adults, of abusing them between 1972 and 1985. They told how he would blindfold them and force them to take part in a "tasting game" that ended up in tricking them into taking part in oral abuse. On Tuesday, Ovenden was convicted of six charges of indecency with a child, and one of indecent assault. He was acquitted of five charges of indecent assault, three of them on the direction of the judge.
Barley Splatt, to where Ovenden and Annie, also a talented artist, moved in the early 70s from west London with their two children, became a meeting place for the Brotherhood of Ruralists, a movement founded by the Ovendens, Blake...

he became famous – and then notorious – for were his studies of girls. He created a series based on Nabokov's character Lolita, and had worked with Blake on a project around Lewis Carroll's Alice books. He was successful; his work can still be seen on Tate Online and has hung in some of the most famous galleries in Europe, the US, the far east and South America.

Ovenden argued in court that he had a "moral obligation" to show children in what he called a "state of grace". The idea of pictures of naked children being obscene was "abhorrent".

Ovenden's daughter, Emily, a singer, told the Guardian then that her earliest memories were of being photographed by her father. "We were always an open household and as young children would often run round naked

...jury members visibly recoiled when they were shown two explicit images of child sexual abuse that were found by police on Ovenden's computer. He accepted he had created the images – composites of pictures from pornographic magazines and his own drawings – and said they were made for a project called Through a Glass Darkly that dealt with the corruption of the "state of grace".

Ovenden said he found the images "utterly vile", but they were the product not of a deviant mind but one seeking to confront evil in a "clear-eyed" way.

So, Savile, pal of Matthews - pal of Cunard - pal of RC perv.
Savile 'cruised 1st class' for free many times
Cunard diverted cruisers to pay 'homage' to Savile

Savile must have done something AMAZING for Cunard

Rescued an ailing shipping line - fixed some deals - got some backhanders?

Savile can only have been acceptable socially because he provided a 'service' - one that no-one else could be trusted to do and still keep their mouth shut................

Payment in 'kind' - murder, rape, rolls royce, cruises, concorde, gold, access to Broadmoor, Rampton...............

All non-taxable - of course.

Default Some of Ovenden's supporters

http://www.thisiscornwall.co.uk/Arti...ail/story.html

...the art world rallied, (Ovenden) with some signing a petition demanding the police to return the material.

Names on the list included Sir Hugh Casson, architect, painter and author, Laurie Lee, author, Peter Blake, artist who designed the sleeve for the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Lucinda Lambton, writer, photographer and broadcaster.

From wiki...

Sir Hugh Casson
A close friend of the British royal family, Casson designed the interior of the royal yacht Britannia and is also credited with having taught Charles, Prince of Wales to paint in watercolours. He also served as Provost of the Royal College of Art. He was elected to the Royal Academy in 1970, and was its President from 1976 to 1984.

.................................................. ............................

Sir Peter Thomas Blake, CBE, RDI, RA (artist)

In the early 1970s, he made a set of watercolour paintings to illustrate Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking-Glass using a young artist, Celia Wanless, as the model for Alice and in 1975 he was a founder of the Brotherhood of Ruralists. Blake moved back to London in 1979 and his work returned to earlier popular culture references.

Familiar cultural icons which can be seen on the cover include Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, Charles Manson (replacing the original image of Marilyn Monroe, which could not be used for legal reasons) and the seven dwarfs from Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.

Author Laurie Lees - one of those who signed petition for Ovendenhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/ar...breakdown.html

The deeply troubling truth about the genius who wrote Cider With Rosie: Laurie Lee's disturbing obsession with his daughter which drover her to a drug-fuelled breakdownBy Beth Hale

PUBLISHED: 20:31 EST, 22 February 2013 | UPDATED: 20:33 EST, 22 February 2013

To 'control me': Author Laurie Lee made Jessy feel trapped on the childhood pedestal which he had placed her on because he did not want her to grow up, she said...the confusion and distress Lee was to wreak on his daughter’s life.

Controlling, tormented and with a love of alcohol and young women, his behaviour led to the teenage Jessy having a drug-fuelled breakdown.

This week, 16 years after her father’s death, Jessy gave an interview in which she spoke frankly of how she had been left needing psychotherapy after a difficult childhood with a father prone to unnerving mood swings.

In 1939, she gave birth to Yasmin, Lee’s illegitimate daughter — only for their relationship to founder after she struck up an affair with the artist Lucian Freud.

t broke Lee’s heart. But it was through Lorna that he would meet the young woman who would become his wife — and Jessy’s mother. It was a pairing that would have certainly raised eyebrows today.

For Katherine Polge — whom he married in 1950 when she was 18 and he 36 — was Lorna’s niece. This made Jessy and Yasmin, his illegitimate daughter, both half-sisters and second cousins.

According to Valerie Grove, he began his relationship with Katherine when she was just 14, after dating both of her older sisters. Until Lee’s death a photograph adorned the bathroom wall of his Slad cottage. It showed him holding a five-year-old Kathy on his knee.

In 1983, he wrote of this moment in his book Two Women — a literary celebration of wife and daughter.

‘I remember the child sitting in my lap, squirming her plump body against me and looking up at me with brilliant slit eyes of squinting blue,’ he penned. ‘As she licked the sugar of a bun from her fat pink lips, she studied me with intense regard.

‘I don’t know who she thought I was — this crumpled 22-year-old English stranger — but it was then, she swears, she decided to marry me.’

‘He was adored by so many people who found him such fun. In Slad he was the old man sitting outside the Woolpack with schoolchildren clustered around him; in London, in the pub, he was the most gregarious, popular person. But at home there were obviously dark times.’

Just how dark those times were is evidenced by the toll Jessy’s troubled childhood had on her mental health. After her father’s death, she spoke openly to Valerie Grove about how she was tormented by the demands her father placed on her mother, how both referred to him as ‘Daddy’ and how ‘he always saw us as children, hence our dependence’.

She revealed how she worried that she was a ‘disappointment’ to him.

‘I had the impression I was too big a girl for him,’ she said. ‘He was always saying how beautiful I was and taking photographs of me, but I felt that I wasn’t his type. I was far too noisy and just too big...

Her troubled path ended in a kind of breakdown in 1982. ‘I stopped sleeping, stopped eating, became hypermanic, close to the edge,’ she said. ‘I was questioning God and the Devil and Mary and Jesus. Dad couldn’t cope with the fact that I was bonkers.

‘And when the psychiatrist said to Dad, “This is a lot more to do with you than it’s to do with drugs”, Daddy was furious and walked out of the room.

‘My parents tried to blame drugs and my friends. Both were in deep denial when the psychiatrist told them they had to take some responsibility.’

The 20-year-old was taken into a nursing home after suffering paranoid hallucinations, and remained an in-patient for two months.

It was in the aftermath of this breakdown that father and daughter seem to have been reconciled.

But even their rapprochement was bizarre — Jessy has told how her father visited her at the nursing home one day, carrying a ring that she had lost and he had somehow found. He placed it on her finger, telling her: ‘We’re wedded for ever.’

The book also included a photograph of a naked Kathy, reclining in the grass, and was published without either woman’s permission.

Default less than subtle indoctrination

Interesting post Goodness regarding The Mediaevel (Media Evil more like :P) Baebes. The MSM in earnest attempted to push this act into the limelight ..If i'm not mistaken making an appearance on the National Lottery t.v Programme 14 years ago of all places. Musicians from this genre (she is linked with) BM and Classical Black metal have for the past 3 decades have preened themselves on penning lyrics about SCA ..Though it may be deemed as "Theatrical" it seems a very soft target in which has little or no place in the music industry, Concerning general public interest

Imminent I believe was the word that was used.

I just looked the meaning of "imminent", I was expecting to see something like "during one's lifetime", but it actually means "wait until the person is dead".

That explains it then.

Sir Rodney Walker, formerly of the NSPCC, has bought the Scarborough apartment to use as a holiday home for his family. Flat sold: Jimmy ... ?
That is the only way I can think he would want it, but then again Savile did say he bought it for his mother , so who knows , just a thought

Sir Rodney, who already owns one apartment in the block, said: “I think like everyone else in the country I was totally taken aback.

Default Unamed Arrestee

My speculation on why MSM is 'reluctant' to name the last but one 83 year old arrested under Operation Yewtree.

MSM have been 'tipped off' so don't want to risk another McCompo digger?

Plus our starving hungry Mp(igs)s' whose lunch subsidies are too low - who don't get a free dinner until after 19.30 - and who brawl and karaoke in their subsidised Westminster bars .......... are doing this as well............

The aim is to try to bring the completely unregulated blogosphere within the new regulated press and media. The proposal was neither sought nor demanded by Lord Leveson, whose inquiry concentrated on big media. Leveson probably didn’t understand the blogosphere and as far as I know isn’t on Twitter.

Royal Family definitely, but not so much 'real' aristocracy i.e. those born to it? Cyclists and wrestlers but not footballers and other sportsmen? Marathons but not horse racing? Catholics and Zionists but not Muslims? Businessmen, politicians, entertainers, pop stars, TV and Radio personalities, hospital staff and taxi drivers but not farmers, teachers, non-medical academics...

The Franklin Cover-Up, the whole e-book by John DeCamp, 8.5 MB

http://www.whale.to/b/the_franklin_c...mp_-_ebook.pdf

"What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there
are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at
stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do any
thing about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and
no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much
evidence you have. That is simply one of the hard facts of life
you have to face. You have done your part. You have tried to
expose the evil and wrongdoing. It has hurt you terribly. But
it has not killed you up to this point. I am telling you, get out
of this before it does. Sometimes things are just too big for us
to deal with, and we have to step aside and let history take its
course. For you, John, this is one of those times," Bill warned,
with Sally nodding her head in affirmation.'

JJ pointing this direction

Everybody’s attention was of course focused on the ‘names’ on the list, almost entirely overlooking some very significant details, which at first glance mean very little, but taken in context with other details take on a significantly new meaning.

One of those details, was the address of a male brothel at 156 Coltman Street, Hull, where coincidentally, a murder occurred which had striking similarities to the killing of the Crimewatch presenter Jill Dando in 1999, who is rumoured to have been murdered as she was about to blow the whistle on a rumoured Paedophile ring operating in a similar manner in West London.
