Tanzania

Two cave paintings from Tanzania. Both are estimated to be up to 29,000 years old. The one on the left is located in Itolo and depicts several disc shaped objects. The other painting is from Kolo shows four entities surrounding a women. Notice also the entity looking down from inside some sort of box or object.

This is a tapestry called Summer's Triumph It was created in Bruges in 1538 and presently resides at the Bayerisches National Museum. You can clearly see several disc shaped objects in the top of the tapestry.

In France there was a coin minted in 1680 that shows a hovering disc shaped UFO with what appears to be port holes or lights around the outer rim. Due to the fact that a coin was minted depicting this UFO.

UFO'S in Religious Art

In this painting found on a wood drawer from furniture kept at the Earls D'Oltremond, in Belgium, Moses is depicted receiving the tablets of the Ten Commandments, with "flaming horns." Several equally flaming objects are in the sky before him. The date and artist are unknown.

"The Baptism of Christ"

A disk shaped object is shining beams of light down on John the Baptist and Jesus - Fitzwilliam Musuem, Cambridge, England - Painted in 1710 by Flemish artist Aert De Gelder. It depicts a classic, hovering, silvery, saucer shaped UFO shining beams of light down on John the Baptist and Jesus. What could have inspired the artist to combine these two subjects?

MARY

A fourteenth century fresco of the Madonna and Child depict on the top right side the image of a UFO hovering in the distance. A blow up of this fresco reveals tremendous details about this UFO including port holes. It seems to indicate a religious involvement between UFO's and the appearance of the Christ Child.

This painting is called "The Madonna with Saint Giovannino". It was painted in the 15th century by Domenico Ghirlandaio (1449-1494) and hangs as part of the Loeser collection in the Palazzo Vecchio. Above Mary's right shoulder is a disk shaped object. Below is a blow up of this section and a man and his dog can clearly be seen looking up at the object.

"The Assumption of the Virgin"

Painted circa 1490 by an unknown artist.

Saucer shaped "clouds" intrigue modern ufologists. Could so many have appeared in the sky at one time? Or, are the hat shaped UFOs depicted so numerous here to -punctuate- certain events as being particularly holy?

The painting above was done by Carlo Crivelli (1430-1495) and is called "The Annunciation with Saint Emidius" (1486) and hangs in the National Gallery, London. A disk shaped object is shining a pencil beam of light down into Mary's crown chakra. A blow up of the object is next to the painting.

Good find!

Who said "UFO's are only something that's been around since the 1940's"?

People have been reporting UFO encounters for as long as they've been able to without being burned as witches or locked in a lunatic asylum!

ok found this link with background to the valley...

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpag...pagewanted=all

Certain motifs recur throughout the valley. Most common are horned animals, probably bovine, with long, imposing horns, U-shaped or sometimes twisted -- indicative, perhaps, of the ancient cult of the bull that flourished around the Mediterranean basin. Sometimes pictures show a yoked team and apparent plow, thought to be fertility cult symbols. Researchers have uncovered no trace either of bovine animals or agriculture in this high, barren valley, supporting the theory that this was a place to invoke divine protection for the crops and livestock raised in the valleys below.

Numerous pictures show weapons and tools -- daggers, axes, scythes. Oval or oblong shapes, filled in with crisscrossed lines, are thought to represent enclosures for livestock, or perhaps land divided into different holdings, or possibly the earth itself. There are also suns, stars and spirals. Anthropomorphic figures, some of which are very striking, are relatively rare among all the rest. Despite Mrs. Baringo's attempts to direct us to one of the valley's most famous anthropomorphic figures, we did not find it, though we discovered plenty of other petroglyphs.

Departing from the trail, he led us first to the figure dubbed the Sorcerer (le Sorcier), a bearded face with hands erect above its head, brandishing a pair of daggers -- an image of primal force. Another, popularly called le Christ or le Mage Christiform, has the broad forehead, narrow jaw and beard of some conventional images of Christ, but this pagan character has three eyes. We were unable to see the Chief of the Tribe (le Chef de Tribu), which was concealed under a deep snowbank. Reproductions of it show a complete figure, feet turned inward and fingers spread apart. Over the chest hangs a sort of bag or ornament, and there appears to be a large dagger fixed into the head.

Nearly all the human figures seem to have some priestly appearance -- images perhaps of those who addressed the gods. But why these daggers, brandished or protruding from the head? Was there a rite involving human sacrifice? We had already noticed the prevalence of dagger images; during the centuries when the engravings were made, metal came increasingly into use. Perhaps the metal blade, embodying new degrees of power, itself became the object of a cult. Archeologists puzzle over these questions.
