Why is it a stretch? It's the same fundamental process causing all three.

I should have worded myself differently. Re-reading what I said, I contradict myself (bit of a stretch, then HAARP can do anything) Volcanic activity could trigger an under water earthquake, which could trigger tsunami waves. So it could happen naturally, and maybe this time it did. But I tend to be a skeptic now-a-days. HAARP has the technology to manipulate the weather. I'm not 100% sure that they can create weather, but I think they can build off of something about to/already happening and can make it bigger, go somewhere specific, change direction, etc.

Deadly earthquake shakes Serbia

Wed, 03 Nov 2010 14:54 CDT

Emergency workers have been deployed to clear the rubble left by the earthquake
A 5.4-magnitude earthquake has struck central Serbia, killing two people and leaving at least 50 others injured, officials said.

The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said the tremor struck near the city of Kraljevo, which lies around 150km south of the capital Belgrade, in the early hours of Wednesday.

A couple reported to be in their 50s were killed when their roof collapsed during the quake.

Ivica Dacic, the country's interior minister said "material damage to the area is big" and that emergency teams and police had been deployed for rescue operations.

"The most important thing is that people calm down, that there is no panic and that the city authorities function," he said.

Electricity and other services have been cut in the city, which has a population of 70,000 people, while witnesses reported damage to buildings, including the local hospital.

"The town is littered with debris. Some older houses are destroyed completely," Milica Lazarevic, 40, a dentist from Kraljevo, told the Reuters news agency.

"My street and perhaps half of the town have no phones, water and electricity," she said.

The quake was felt across the country, including the capital Belgrade about 150 kilometres north of Kraljevo.

The Serbian seismological institute said it was followed by four other less powerful aftershocks.

Someone posted on another forum that Jim Berkland was on Coast2 coast and gave an EQ window Nov5 through 12..

Does anyone know where these quakes might happen,???

Does anyone know how to create/find a graph measuring the sun's CME output of the same dates in order to do a comparison with the earthquake graph?

No.

But do look for a match before or possibly after the CME's. I get a feeling that whatever mechanism that could affect Earth isn't quite in sync. There was a news story a short while back about some weirdness surrounding the sun - http://news.discovery.com/space/is-t...-particle.html

"In another moment of weirdness, Purdue nuclear engineer Jere Jenkins noticed an inexplicable drop in the decay rate of manganese-54 when he was testing it one night in 2006. It so happened that this drop occurred just over a day before a large flare erupted on the sun."

Almost sounds like the dodgy science in the film 2012, particles doing things they shouldn't. But the fact that it happened the day before the CME made me think that proving the two are connected (CME and Earthquakes) could be harder than simply checking the same date.

YES, just check spaceweather report for couple of days back. For example, that spike could be caused by this:

"After two days of quiet, big sunspot 1117 is once again crackling with solar flares. Magnetic fields around the active region became unstable on Oct. 31st, unleashing a C2-class flare at 0318 UT and a C6-class flare at 0431 UT"

And it seems that quakes are also triggered by solar winds from coronal holes, not just CMEs.

Earthquake, volcanic ash burst strike Philippines
(AFP)

6 November 2010
MANILA — A strong 6.0-magnitude earthquake and a burst of volcanic ash struck a region south of the Philippine capital on Saturday in quick sucession, but government experts said the events were unrelated.

A earthquake hit the Bicol region early Saturday, shaking people from their sleep but causing no serious damage, the government said.

The quake, with an epicentre off the coat of Burias island, about 275 kilometres (171 miles) southeast of Manila, occurred at 12:41 am (1641 GMT Friday), the government seismology office said.

Just hours later, Bulusan volcano, located 250 kilometres southeast of Manila, ejected a column of ash about 600 metres into the air, which showered down onto several towns in Bicol, the government said.

Government vulcanologists have raised the alert level for Bulusan from zero to level 1, indicating abnormal activity, possibly a sign of more ash eruptions to come.

People were warned not to enter a four-kilometre “danger zone” around the volcano and communities nearby were told to be on alert for volcanic mudslides in case heavy rains mix with the ash deposited on Bulusan’s slopes.

The Philippines is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire where frequent volcanic eruptions and earthquakes take place.

The last major earthquake to cause widespread death and destruction in the Philippines was in 1990, when a 7.7-magnitude quake killed 2,400 people in the country’s north.

EARTH-DIRECTED ERUPTION: Active sunspot 1123 erupted during the early hours of Nov. 12th, producing a C4-class solar flare and apparently hurling a filament of material in the general direction of Earth. Coronagraph images from NASA's twin STEREO spacecraft show a coronal mass ejection (CME) emerging from the blast site and heading off in a direction just south of the sun-Earth line. The cloud could deliver a glancing blow to Earth's magnetic field sometime on Nov. 14th or 15th, sparking auroras.

this is very odd, especially the frequency of the quakes in such a small area and at the same depths mostly (10m). This is a MAJOR shipping lane for oil, there's a good thread at GLP about it:
