i have some great news, for ALL my friends, who are all on different paths, but still all here together on this thread

"My mind is a center of Divine operation.

The Divine operation is always for expansion and fuller expression,

and this means the production of something beyond what has gone before,

something entirely new,

not included in past experience,

though proceeding out of it by orderly sequence of growth

Therefore, since the Divine cannot change it's inherent nature, it must operate in the same manner in me;

Consequently in my own special world,

in which I am the center,

it will move forward to produce new conditions,

always in advance of any that have gone before.

Your horoscope for June 27 to July 3, 2013

by Rose Marcus

http://www.straight.com/life/395061/...27-july-3-2013

Quote:
AN EMOTIONAL FEW weeks lie ahead. Mercury in Cancer has just begun a three-week retrograde cycle. The transit will target the areas of life where we feel most vulnerable and in need. Through July 20, pay closer attention to the little things and, when in doubt, play it extra safe. The usual advice is worth repeating: ask more questions; double and triple check; delay on major purchases, contracts, or important decisions; and revisit, revise, and redo.

Mercury retrograde plays havoc with schedules, plans, and communications. While appropriate for undertaking repair and recovery, the transit isn’t likely to be an easy regroup for those hit by the flooding disaster. Climate change is here to stay and large-scale natural disasters are certain to continue to occur in greater frequency.

Venus enters Leo on Thursday morning. Through July 22, Venus reminds us to love and play more, to create more pleasure and well-being. Venus encourages us to show more personal and civic pride, gift more, and extract the best that the moment has to offer. A grand trine in the water element can act as a buffer.

Thursday/Friday delivers a soft close to the workweek. Relax. Take in the jazz fest. Saturday and Sunday revs up more action, energy, and perhaps added friction too. Canada Day has two push-pull aspects to get through. By Tuesday afternoon, the stars are working it out.

Aries
March 19 - April 19

Place yourself on watch. Mercury retrograde can set you back with a family member, home matter, renovation, or personal project. The past, your comfort zone, and security issues are also up for review. Monday’s Sun/Pluto opposition pushes you past a block or helps you to navigate your way through an important revisitation. Tuesday onward, step by step gets you there.

Taurus
April 19 - May 20

Don’t force it if it isn’t coming naturally. While Mercury is retrograde, it is okay to let some things slide. Still, make sure to keep a closer watch on what’s important. Indulge on Thursday/Friday, but watch your vices. On Sunday, something unplanned perks it up. There’s added pressure to contend with on Monday. By evening and into Tuesday, you’ll have it worked out.

Gemini
May 20 - June 20

Thursday/Friday, you can gain more leeway with the powers that be. Let yourself off the hook, too. Coast—don’t sweat it. Saturday/Sunday finds you more up and at ‘em. On Monday, revise as necessary. Mercury retrograde can raise concerns over income, savings, expenses, caretaking, safeguarding, and replenishing. Too, you may need, want, or give out more emotional support.

Cancer
June 20 - July 22

Have you noticed your sensitivity to surroundings and people is greatly heightened? Body, heart, mind, and soul will signal stronger now too. Listen up. On a temporary note, Mercury retrograde can set you back emotionally, health-wise, or financially. Whether it’s a second chance, a makeover, or a complete overhaul, Mercury retrograde also gifts you with extra time to sort yourself out.

Leo
July 22 - August 22

Mercury retrograde presents an ideal few weeks to go off on a vacation, cozy up right where you are, or take extra time to heal and explore new options or budding potentials. Confidence and vitality booster Venus in Leo begins Thursday, but before Venus can bestow the goods, you’ll need to make an attitude shift and visual spruce-up.

Virgo
August 22 - September 22

Over this next year, Jupiter in Cancer will enhance your social and financial potentials. In the short and more immediate term, Mercury retrograde can put you on a relationship or personal backtrack. Plans or goals can change. Take it one step at a time. Thursday/Friday can be smooth running. Socialize. Play up the romance. Saturday keeps the spark well lit.

Libra
September 22 - October 22

Mercury retrograde could present added challenge with career projects, ambitions, bank matters, family or other official obligations, agreements, paperwork, or contracts. Too, you may find it difficult to stick to your own rules, promises, or commitments. On the plus side, a temporary sidetrack could be quite lucrative. Thursday/Friday delivers a smooth finish to the work week. Saturday to Monday keeps it moving.

Scorpio
October 22 - November 21

Planned or not, the next few weeks of Mercury retrograde can find you revisiting places and faces. There may be a time lapse or physical distance to cross, but the heart doesn’t skip a beat. You may reconsider something major or previously shelved. Presented with an offer? Take your time to feel it out. A revision can make all the difference.

Sagittarius
November 21 - December 21

Jupiter’s one-year tour through Cancer offers gains through others and can give you more financial and emotional support. Conversely, your need can increase, especially while Mercury tours retrograde. Loving bonds can grow cozier, but if you’re not in unison, Mercury retrograde will keep reminding you of the shortfalls until you figure it out.

Capricorn
December 21 - January 20

Despite the extras on your plate and whatever inconveniences may occur, the beginning of Mercury retrograde could prove to be fairly smooth. However, by Monday, the sun’s opposition to Pluto can put you under added relationship or financial strains, or find you struggling with yourself. By mid-week, something can snap or suddenly improve. Perhaps it’s both.

Aquarius
January 20 - February 18

You are on a roll through Sunday. Still, know that Mercury retrograde can set you back with work matters, health, or finances, and/or show you where you have already lost ground. Add extra margins and safeguards, think again before you speak or act, heed intuition or early warning signals, and don’t ingest anything you are uncertain of.

Pisces
February 18 - March 19

The Pisces moon brings the workweek to a smooth finish. Saturday/Sunday you’ll be up for more. Unsure about yourself or concerned about a key family member? Watch for Mercury retrograde to roll it out for you. In the meantime, carve out more time to catch up with yourself or with loved ones. Monday/Tuesday is a push-pull.

Default People Who Don’t Get It - Living with It

People Who Don’t Get It
Living with It

June 27, 2013

by Madisyn Taylor

http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2013/38899.html

Quote:
When dealing with people who seem very unaware, remember that everyone must find their own way to awakening.

You may be someone who understands the true nature of reality, perceiving deeply that we all emanate from the same source, that we are all essentially one, and that we are here on earth to love one another. To understand this is to be awakened to the true nature of the self, and it is a blessing. Nevertheless, people who just don’t get it are seemingly everywhere and, often, in positions of power. It can be frustrating and painful to watch them behave unconsciously. We all encounter individuals of this bent in our families, at work, and in all areas of public life. It is easy to find ourselves feeling intolerant of these people, wishing we could be free of them even though we know that separation from them is an illusion.

It helps sometimes to think of us all as different parts of one psyche. Just as within our own hearts and minds we have dark places that need healing, the heart and mind of the world has its dark places. The health of the whole organism depends upon the relative health of the individuals within it. We increase harmony when we hold onto the light, not allowing it to be darkened by judgement, anger, and fear about those who behave unconsciously. It’s easier to accomplish this if we don’t focus on the negative qualities of individuals and instead focus on how increasing our own light will increase the light of the overall picture.

When dealing with people who seem very unconscious, it helps to remember that every one must find their own way to awakening and that the experiences they are having are an essential part of their process. Holding them in the light of our own energy may be the best way to awaken theirs. At the same time, we are inspired by their example to look within and shed light on our own unconscious places, sacrificing the urge to judge and surrendering instead to humble self-inquiry.

Default Horoscope for the Week: June 28, 2013

Horoscope for the Week: June 28, 2013

By Michael O'Connor

http://www.castlegarnews.com/lifestyles/213379091.html

Quote:

Tip of the Week:

The Water Snake is living up to its name. Massive flooding all over the world, immense tornadoes, raging fires, in-land hurricanes and devastating anomalies occurring all over the world has our collective attention. The Snake is considered a karmic sign in Chinese Astrology. It refers to change, transformation, purification, death, rebirth and renewal. In Western Astrology all the signs are there as well in the planetary line-up. This phase of activity is unlikely to slow down soon, in fact, the momentum will likely increase. It is not that the planetary line-up or the Water Snake causes these events to occur. The keyword is synchronicity. This means that the signs revealed in these alignments and the overlapping cycles they refer to are signs more than they are causes. What ‘causes’ a thing to be or an event to happen is one of the most fundamental questions humanity has ever posed and not everyone is satisfied that we have found the answers yet. Religious authorities have forever simply said that it is the work of God. Even staunch scientists refer to the ravages of nature to be ‘acts of God’. What exactly is meant by the term God is also up for debate and has been a source of suffering, forever it seems. The clash of interpretations wrapped in emotionally charged belief has and continues to produce actual warfare between some of the many religions in the world. This is why some scientists have and continue to work so hard to wipe out the notion of a God. Yet, many assert that replacing the notion of God with a materialistic philosophy is not only limiting, it is even more dangerous. Astrology works by virtue of an intelligence woven into creation, an all pervasive consciousness. Call it what you will, there is certainly intelligent design in nature and therefore a designer. The current questions remain regarding what causes cataclysms. Saying that it is all a part of the grand design of nature and occurs according to cycles is something most people will agree upon. As it is, humanity is suffering and what the world needs now is love, love, love…. Some would say it is the best word to describe the primary cause and it is also a key feature of the cure.

Aries (Mar 21 – Apr 20)

Many new beginnings are underway for you. You are being given a big green light by the universe, perhaps even a push or a shove. Balancing inspiration and desperation may be necessary. Creating beauty in your home and/or family environment is ideal. The deeper levels of this cycle indicate metamorphic changes. Cooperate with this dynamic because resistance is futile anyway.

Taurus (Apr 20 – May 21)

A busy cycle persists. At best it is affording many opportunities and forging new alliances. Your ambitions are running high so you are in a good position to capitalize. At worst you feel overwhelmed by choice and circumstance. While the tone will settle down soon the overall momentum will continue. The key is to be committed to forge a brighter future.

Gemini (May 21 – Jun 21)

Over the past year or so you have set your sights higher, made some key moves and taken a few risks. Now and over the coming year it is time to capitalize on these efforts. Your willingness to learn, adapt and improvise is extra important. This may well include training or apprenticeship. In the short term, decipher what constitute your best talents and focus on them.

Cancer (Jun 21 – Jul 22)

Some big and exciting opportunities are coming to the fore. If you have been waiting faithfully for your window of opportunity, your patience is about to be rewarded. The momentum will remain steady but this certainly represents a turn towards something new and probably different. Concentrate your focus and put in the extra time and effort now.

Leo (Jul 22 – Aug 23)

Some cycles move faster and some slower and this is a slower one. Your basic challenge now is to tune-in and trust this flow. The efforts of yesteryear are in a composting phase. This may not sound very exciting but compost is the basis of fertilizer, a key ingredient to abundant growth. Patient perseverance backed by faith and vision is the recipe.

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 22)

The future beckons and its call will get louder over the coming weeks and months. The time has come to expand upon and/or fortify your overall foundation. This will require an extra assertion of your will and a clear application of strategic thinking. A steady and perhaps steep learning curve is implied. It is extra important that you clarify your basic direction.

Libra (Sep 22 – Oct 22)

Everyone is undergoing a cycle of expansion in new areas. For you it is in your overall status, quo, public standing, reputation and/or career. You are meant to pay your dues somehow. At best you will recognize this extra burden to be the investment that it is. Taking calculated steps versus blind leaps is important and this trend will continue.

Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)

A steady pace of advancement continues. Yet it comes on the heels of decline and ending. Do not be ashamed, defeated or depressed by these. The cycles of life work this way. It is less likely an issue of your sincere efforts and abilities in the past and more one of the larger rhythm and flow. Nurture a philosophical perspective as your enter this new territory.

Sagittarius (Nov 21 – Dec 21)

While wisdom includes knowing how and when to assert it also includes knowing how and when to surrender. You know, “you gotta know when to hold them, when to fold them, when to walk away and when to run”. Of course, the game goes on and there will be other hands. Besides, while the cards are being dealt, your investments are generating profits.

Capricorn (Dec 21 – Jan 19)

Your world is in a steady rate of expansion. Your social life and perhaps especially your family network will undergo a big boost of energy and focus over the coming months. This will prove to be a big spark of new beginnings. Naturally, these are the flip side of things ending. Yet, in the short term anyway, there will be big reasons to rejoice.

Aquarius (Jan 19 – Feb 19)

Jupiter entering Cancer is producing a boost and shift of some kind for everyone. For you it is linked to your work and/or lifestyle rhythm. You are in the mood to build upon new foundations. The time is right to take a few calculated risks and perhaps make some key investments. This includes new educational pursuits and training.

Pisces (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

Some significant changes in your overall philosophy of life are brewing. These are activating you to implement more creative variety into your usual approach. A fine blend of strategic rational mixed with intuitive receptivity, of mind and heart, is the key. Excess of either will produce imbalance. You are in a creative cycle now, act on it!

Default Healthful Slumber - The Importance of Sleep

Healthful Slumber
The Importance of Sleep

June 28, 2013

by Madisyn Taylor

http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2013/38900.html

Quote:
Regular periods of sleep are key to a healthy body and a clear mind as it is during sleep that your body renews itself.

When life gets busy, sleep is often the first activity that we sacrifice. Considered a luxury by many busy people, sleep is actually as vital to sustaining a balanced life as are breathing, eating, and drinking. Getting sufficient sleep can be a potent energizer, just as not getting enough sleep can leave you feeling drained and sluggish. While eight hours is the average amount of sleep most adults should generally aim for, the right amount of sleep varies for each person. Some people may thrive on just four hours, while others don’t feel well rested unless they’ve slept for ten hours. How much we sleep also varies, depending upon where we are in life. Young people often need more sleep, while older people may need less. The benefits of sleep always stay the same. Regular and consistent periods of wakefulness and sleep are key ingredients to fostering a healthy body and a clear mind. It is during sleep that your body renews itself.

The ability to forgo sleep is considered by some to be an asset. But while it may seem that the nighttime hours can be better used for more productive activities, sleep in itself is extremely productive. During sleep, your body and psyche are both regaining their strength for the coming day. You may even have the unique opportunity to explore the hidden recesses of your personality while you dream. Meanwhile, your long-term memories are reinforced.

Many cultures engage in an afternoon siesta. Taking a nap is refreshing and can increase both productivity and creativity. Author Lewis Carroll is said to have conceived his idea for Alice in Wonderland while dreaming. A good night’s sleep also has been known to bring with it the gifts of clarity, wisdom, and a fresh perspective. Even the ancient Greeks thought of sleep as a gift from the gods. Give yourself the gift of peaceful slumber and you will likely find yourself feeling alert, refreshed, and ready for life’s challenges. You may also find yourself feeling more centered, thoughtful, and aware throughout the day so you can live your full potential.

And yeah Max Igan is an awesome human being as well as top drawer researcher. Interesting times ahead for sure. Could end up being a force to be reckoned with this Peoples Voice.

Default Do You Resist Change?

Do You Resist Change?

June 28, 2013 by Joe Martino

http://www.collective-evolution.com/...28/resistance/

Quote:

Do you ever notice yourself resisting events happening in your life? We all go through many different experiences, this article is not to say we cannot make changes and choose to avoid very un-favorable experiences, it is simply to say, sometimes we can find ourselves being very resistant to changes that are going on in our lives.

From positive to negative, pain to happiness, laughter to suffering, we must always remember that these are all just experiences. They are part of what allows us to grow and move towards enlightenment. In many ways we agree to these experiences and attract them due to our worldview as well as what they can provide for us on a deeper level. As these experiences happen, whether it be a break up, a lost job, having to move to a new place, finishing something that can be challenges etc, we generally have two choices. We can choose the route of resisting the whole process and making it very difficult learn from as we get stuck in judging what is happening and feeling down about it. Or we can choose to accept it for the time being as something that is in our path and see what we can gain from it in terms of growth. As we react to the situations, observe the thoughts and emotions that present themselves. ‘Why am I so upset about a lost job?” “Why am I so worried about change?” “What do these changes represent to me that make me feel upset?”

Now it might be easy to say that these are all natural feelings anyone would feel when going through these experiences, but this is not true because the reactions are learned behaviours we get from how we have been taught to react to certain experiences. It is not an innate knowing for us to be upset and freak out when we lose a job for example. Some of us react and some of us don’t. Either way we are very much in control of how we feel during these changes by choosing to disempower the suffering that we often dive into and persist. The truth is we can feel peace in many of these circumstances, we simply need to remain conscious as the events play out and pay attention to what might be pulling us out of peace.

Resisting change is sometimes like trying to swim against the current. Sometimes we do not always see the perfection in what might be playing out so we try hard to keep it all in place i.e. we resist! Think about letting go of the need to control. Let things go and flow as they need to. In most cases we find that things are never as bad as we always assume they will be and in the end we feel great for having experienced it all.

So next time we find ourselves resisting, remember to try out these steps:

1. Pause for a moment in the situation
2. Observe your current emotions
3. Reflect on why they are coming up. What is the situation challenging that is making you resist?
4. Let go of what you are trying to control or avoid (keeping yourself out of danger of course)
5. Choose to take the situation moment by moment without judging it

Default Top 10 Natural Health Remedies of Coconut Oil

Top 10 Natural Health Remedies of Coconut Oil

June 29, 2013

Waking Times

http://www.wakingtimes.com/2013/06/2...f-coconut-oil/

Quote:

The popularity of coconut oil has skyrocketed in the Western world over the last several years. However, its many health benefits have been known in other regions of the world as part of their ancient history. Better late than never!

Coconut oil is finally taking center stage, and is much needed in our modern world which contains more environmental and food toxins than ever before.

Coconut oil is being hailed as a super ingredient, superfood, and, lately, a super beauty aid. Add to this that it can be consumed or applied to all ages and it becomes a must-have in anyone’s natural health kit.

Let’s take a look at a mere snapshot of the solutions to common and chronic ailments that can be provided by coconut oil.

10. Oral Health - Many natural health practitioners believe that oral health is the very foundation of overall health. Coconut oil has been used as a healthy alternative from toxic commercial toothpastes that contain fluoride. This oil also has been demonstrated to harden enamel, thus reducing the chance of serious dental events. Lastly, due to its antibacterial properties, it serves as a boost toward reducing sores and other infections. Oil pulling with coconut oil is an all-around insurance against tooth decay and debilitating oral health issues.

9. Fungal Treatment - The properties of coconut oil have a wide range of anti-fungal uses: topically for athlete’s foot, for example; and also internally with candida and yeast infections. It is a soft and beneficial protection for everyone from serious sports athletes to newborns . . . chemical-free and nutrient dense. For those plagued by candida, which is a group of over 150 species of yeast that can lead to a host of minor and major complications and diseases, a specific Candida Diet including coconut oil could bring major relief as “coconut oil contains 3 different fatty acids (Caprylic Acid, Capric Acid, Lauric Acid) that have each been found to be effective against the Candida yeast (see the research studies here and here).”

8. Digestive Aid - A number of studies have shown that consumption of coconut oil, which is naturally high in beneficial saturated fats, can alleviate common maladies such as constipation, acid indigestion and acid reflux. Studies also show it to be effective in the much more serious and debilitating afflictions such as ulcertative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Coconut oil contains anti-microbial properties that can reduce infection and inflammation making it ideal for all intestinal and gut-related issues.

7. Nutrient Absorption - As a natural digestive aid, coconut oil has been shown to increase vitamin and mineral absorption. In this area, a technical explanation is required, which shows why nutrient absorption is so important in reducing stress on the body, minimizing the likelihood of chronic diseases, and optimizing one’s overall health and longevity … right from the beginning of life:

For at least five decades researchers have recognized that the medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs) in coconut oil were digested differently than other fats. This difference has had important applications in the treatment of many digestive and metabolic health conditions and since that time MCFA have been routinely used in hospital and baby formulas.

The digestive health advantages of medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA) over long-chain fatty acids (LCFA) are due to the differences in the way our bodies metabolize these fats. Because the MCFA molecules are smaller, they require less energy and fewer enzymes to break them down for digestion. They are digested and absorbed quickly and with minimal effort.

MCFA are broken down almost immediately by enzymes in the saliva and gastric juices so that pancreatic fat-digesting enzymes are not even essential. Therefore, there is less strain on the pancreas and digestive system. This has important implications for patients who suffer from digestive and metabolic problems.

Premature and ill infants especially whose digestive organs are underdeveloped, are able to absorb MCFA with relative ease, while other fats pass through their systems pretty much undigested. People who suffer from malabsorption problems such as cystic fibrosis, and have difficulty digesting or absorbing fats and fat soluble vitamins, benefit greatly from MCFA.

They can also be of importance for people suffering from diabetes, obesity, gallbladder disease, pancreatitis, Crohn’s disease, pancreatic insufficiency, and some forms of cancer. (Source)

6. Energy Booster - Coconut oil has demonstrated both short- and long-term energy level benefits both physically and mentally. With increased energy levels and mental focus, workout regimens and daily activity become more productive. This can help immensely in all areas of life. Coconut oil is a key alternative to the energy drink craze which often relies on caffeine as a stimulant, giving a profound short-term boost, but an equally severe energy level crash with some potentially long-term negative side effects. The key component, again, are the medium chain fatty acids which are processed and metabolized faster; and, unlike sugar – natural or processed – this type of fatty acid gives a sustained boost to energy. The fat calories are converted immediately to energy:

Because of this quick production of energy, athletes have been known to use MCFA to enhance their performance and research may back their claims. In a study published in the Journal of Nutrition, one group of mice was fed medium chain triglycerides while a control group was fed long chain triglycerides. The study lasted 6 weeks and the mice were given a swimming endurance test every other day. The group that was fed the MCT slowly began to out-perform the control group. (Source)

5. Weight Loss - When the body’s digestive system is functioning optimally, absorbing nutrients efficiently, and full of good energy, the body is well-primed for weight loss. Naturally, as we get older, we find that losing weight becomes a greater task as our metabolism declines and organs become increasingly strained. Additionally, blood sugar imbalances can become more frequent, even leading to pre-diabetic or diabetic conditions. The healthy fat properties contained within coconut oil have shown to be effective in stabilizing blood sugar and boosting metabolism, ensuring that the negative fat does not get stored. Some tips for how to prepare coconut oil, as well as the best to use in order to “stomp the weight loss accelerator” can be found HERE.

4. Allergy Relief - There are many natural ways to alleviate allergies such as hay fever, and coconut oil has emerged as yet another much-needed aid to those who suffer seasonally or chronically. Coconut oil also has been used to counter food allergies. Those who have difficulty with common allergens such as soy, wheat, gluten, peanuts, or dairy can find relief with coconut oil. It should be cautioned, however, that in rare cases people can be allergic to coconut oil, so that possibility cannot be discounted completely.

3. Cold and Flu Prevention and Relief - Coconut oil has the trifecta of anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-microbial properties, including lipids, lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid. Daily consumption can significantly boost your immunity. By simply replacing butter and cooking oils with coconut oil, you can easily help your body fend off invaders. If a cold or flu does take hold, coconut oil can shorten the duration and soften the overall effects, as it acts like a natural antibiotic. Adding a bit to a smoothie or tea is a perfect way to help get rid of congestion, sore throat, and pain in bones, joints, head and ears.

2. Pain Relief - As mentioned above, coconut oil also has essential properties for directly fighting pain. This extends beyond alleviating temporary conditions such as flu, cold, and headaches. The anti-inflammatory elements of coconut oil have been shown to naturally help serious conditions such as arthritis. Arthritis is actually a catch-all term that includes more than 100 associated conditions and symptoms that affect the bones, joints, and surrounding connective tissues. Coconut oil’s ability to alleviate such a wide range of ailments affecting tens of millions of people (300,000 children under the age of 18 in the U.S. alone!), as well as to assist with developing a healthy lifestyle of prevention make this a wonder substance. Yet again, we return to the unique group of fatty acids in coconut oil that can reduce inflammation and pain, while lubricating muscles and joints. However, it is not only ingestion; coconut oil can be used topically to increase blood supply to the affected area and reduce localized pain and swelling. The promotion of circulation and flexibility can help debilitating conditions such as arthritis as well as fibromyalgia. For ingestion dosages, please see the guidelines here.

1. Skin Protection: This is clearly the single greatest area where coconut oil has proven to be a wonder substance. In fact the uses reach into the many dozens, but among them are: sun protection and salve, moisturizing lotion, non-irritant deodorant, makeup removal, shaving cream, diaper rash protection and salve, age spot removal, stretch mark reduction, and as a massage oil for easing both surface and muscular tension and pain. Using coconut oil to replace commercial products, which are often heavy with petroleum or are water-logged, is a number one use for this miracle substance.

The range of benefits from coconut oil, internally and externally, can easily eliminate a host of toxic-based medications and “treatments” that are not only expensive to purchase, but costly in their long-term cascade of damaging side effects.

One particularly important note regarding quality has been offered by one of the early proponents of coconut oil, Kimberly Snyder:

Organic will ensure 100 percent non-GMO, which is also preferable. Coconut oil is best consumed in moderation, in its virgin or unprocessed form. It is vital that we consume coconut oil in a totally unrefined state. If it has been refined in some way, which could include processes such as bleaching or deodorizing, it becomes much harder on our liver. (Source)

We would love to hear about your success with coconut oil in the areas listed above, as well as other natural health uses for this powerful oil that nature has provided.

Quote:
July Month Overview:

In the first 24 hours after Jupiter entered Cancer on June 25, Texas senator and single mom Wendy Davis staged a 13 hour filibuster to block an abortion bill that would have closed 37 out of 42 abortion clinics. Two US Supreme Court milestone decisions pave the way for same sex marriages/families to have equal rights under US law. A child pornography sting in Atlanta Canada led to the arrest of 22 men and the rescue of two children. Canada’s Environmental Defence announced the discovery of high levels of long banned toxic chemistry in an umbilical cord study, highlighting how vulnerable we are to the toxic life we have designed for ourselves.

A couple of days later, a new coach was named for the Vancouver Cannucks, the Black Hawks won the Stanley Cup, football star Aaron Hernandez was arrested on murder charges, whistle blower Edward Snowden got stuck in his temporary new home in a Moscow airport, and a Vatican official was arrested for trying to smuggle the equivalent of 26 million. An anxious world continues its vigil on Nelson Mandela. While Albertans braved the aftermath of devastating floods that washed away homes and treasures of the past, a train bridge collapse plunged several cars holding toxic chemicals into the still raging river. (Luckily, rescue workers managed to save the cars from spilling their loads.) At the same time Kinder Morgan tried to spoon-feed the public on how good the pipelines are for economic growth, two of their pipeline sprang leaks (is that sign??). And that’s just for starters…

Just about 12 hours after Jupiter entered Cancer, Mercury in Cancer began retrograde. June 26 to July 20, Mercury retrograde brings the unresolved past into the present. We can expect the usual annoyance, backtrack, derailing, and miscommunication. The usual advice is worth repeating – double check everything you do, remember to include extra margins, add provisions, and think safety first.

Correlating to personal and private, to domestic and national, all matters pertaining to the Cancer archetype are featured this month. That’s everything to do with home, family, children, the inner child, real estate, food, nourishment, nurturance, support, safety, security, vulnerability, self preservation, caretaking, etc. Jupiter keeps it on the move and the increase. Jupiter in Cancer, Mercury retrograde in Cancer, and Mars in Cancer, starting July 13 are sure to keep the emotional climate especially triggered.

July 7, Saturn in Scorpio ends its four month retrograde tour. A new moon in Cancer occurs just after midnight on July 8. On July 9 Mercury conjoins the sun, bringing the retrograde cycle to its peak. Watch for something to gel or crystallize inside of you or to start churning again. If you have been on stall or stuck, these few days can get it moving. Sun/Mercury puts the spotlight on a special someone or something. Watch for a significant conversation, for someone of significance to make contact, to deliver news or make it, for a re-visitation, reconnection, insight, information, advice, etc.

Jupiter’s advance into Cancer has set up a grand trine with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune and Chiron in Pisces. (For those with an astrological background, Chiron is presently just out of an acceptable orb, but I recommend counting it in.) Factoring in some dancing around from the key players, this grand trine in the element of water will continue to the end of the year and for the first half of 2014.

A grand trine facilitates the momentum that is already in play. You can coast along the same track, or you can create. The contributing planets are well harmonized and able to maximize on each other’s resources. A grand trine make for ease and is usually considered a gifted configuration, but it’ll do more for you when there’s something to spark it. Thanks to Jupiter’s travel, the grand trine reaches its peak in July. Mars in Cancer adds even more fuel. This grand trine is stimulated/optimized on the following dates: July 1 -3, July 17, July 20 – 22, 27 – 31. Each of these dates come with different planetary triggers, but they are all instigating in some significant way. If these dates don’t create opportunity or eventfulness in your life, they will submerge you deeper in the process of evolving and becoming.

Mercury ends retrograde on July 20 just as Mars gets moving on that water grand trine. July 22 delivers a super full moon just barely into the sign of Aquarius. On this same day, Venus enters Virgo, the sun advances into Leo, and Mars conjoins Jupiter. That’s a lot of fresh ignition. It can be a great weekend for summer festivities, but it also is a hit the ground running weekend. Mars and Jupiter are a leap of faith influence. Together they can be mobilizing, inciting, accelerating, provoking, risk taking and impetuous too. Watch rising action in the day or two preceding this super full moon. Mars and Jupiter could get big protests or movements going. Too, noteworthy people are likely to be on the move and/or making headlines news.

(It can be a fugitive on the run aspect, so perhaps we’ll hear news of Edward Snowdon or some such man hunt. Also, Jupiter is often involved when people exit the planet. It is never possible to predict a person’s passage, but There have been many transits in this past couple of months that could have been a ticket for Mandela’s departure, but it is never possible to predict. That journey is for to soul and spirit to decide.)

July 27, 28 are also sparking, releasing, or unleashing dates. July 29 sets up a grand sextile configuration in the yin elements of earth and water. Seven planets make up the network: Pluto, Neptune, Chiron, moon, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus. The karmic axis (the north and south nodes) are also part of this fleeting but harmonically charged planetary configuration. This day holds great vibrational/creative potential, so stay conscious and present. Aim to harmonize yourself with the energy that’s flowing around you and within you too. Yin calls forth, it receives, it juices up. If you believe in the power of thought or intention, it’s an optimum day to send a request out to the universe.

ARIES (March 21- April 19)

The first couple of days of July can take you over a hump. First there’s a push, then there’s a release. Saturn, a shaping, authenticating, and/or crystallizing influence, ends retrograde just a few hours before the new moon on July 8. This new moon coincides with the informing peak of Mercury’s retrograde cycle on July 9. As such it offers an optimum time to resume, revisit, reconnect, and revise. Anything that was stalled out in recent weeks – or since February – will now move along.

Mars in Cancer, July 13 to Aug 27 revs up home and family matters. July 16 to 20, can be a time of mobilization, of visits, visitors, or travel, of more involvement with family, your support network, or professional advisors. It’s a time of major talks, exploring options and planning your next steps or major initiative. There can be news, announcements, legal or financial matters to address. July 21 can put you under added pressure or strain. The unexpected can get to you too. Mars conjoined with Jupiter can make everything seem overwhelming and/or more urgent. On the other hand, this combo suggests your instincts kick into high gear, in which case you could find yourself to leap into action at the perfect time. Venus advances in Virgo and the sun enters Leo on the full moon July 22. This day can take you from one end of the spectrum to the other. July 27 through July 31 also puts you on a major thrust ahead. The grand-trine set up of Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune provides good cushioning throughout this month and the coming months. Whatever you are pushing for or coping with is likely to work out just fine.

TAURUS (April 20 -May 20)

Have you been having a harder time getting on with it? Have you felt blocked by circumstances? Perhaps you feel you are outgrowing something. Past this first week of the month, the brakes come off and the tides shift. Even though there’s still a couple of weeks of Mercury retrograde to contend with, you should find you can get through to folks better once Saturn ends retrograde on July 7. The new moon July 8 can stimulate a conversation that needs to happen. It can also stimulate a new way of viewing things.

Relationships, plans, and circumstances will naturally mobilize once Mars advances into Cancer on July 13 and plugs into the grand trine with Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune. In general this transit should set you onto a better flow. Mars also increases your sensitivity meter. You’ll know what they are feeling before it’s voiced.

July 21 through the end of the month sets bigger wheels into motion. It’s a time to travel, vacation, or to scout for new digs or for new financial opportunities. You could be quite impetuous, find yourself provoked or feel the need to confront someone around the time of the full moon on July 22. Too, you could uncover something that will fill it in better for you. Once this trigger has been pulled, it’s off to the races you go.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21)

Jupiter has left Gemini now but you’ll continue to receive ample benefits from Jupiter’s one year tour through Cancer. Well supported by Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron, Jupiter’s transit helps you to make the fullest use out of your circumstances and learning curve. Your resourcefulness will grow substantially – that’s the best of Jupiter’s gifts. Once you have that in your knapsack, you’ll never lose it. It’ll serve you well through thick and thin. Jupiter in Cancer can also bring a year when you can build your financial and personal assets. For some, that means banking more, for others it means investing and carrying a heavier load. Either way, the grand trine between Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune/Chiron creates a favourable backdrop for career expansion, project development, the job hunt, job performance, training, good rapport with bosses and co-workers, support from those in positions of authority. The grand trine is also supportive for seeking advice, apprenticeship or mentorship programs; creative development, new business development, personal/physical, and health improvement goals. You should find you have enough stamina to stay committed to a diet or exercise program.

Despite what I’ve said above, to July 20, Mercury retrograde can draw added concern regarding security issues and finances. As is typical of the cycle, unexpected repairs, expense, or complications can eat up resources. You can find yourself on emotional backtrack with someone or something. Health can flare up – yours or theirs. Something you thought was in the bag or well nailed down may need to be revisited. You are likely to second guess or question yourself more. Mercury retrograde is best minimized when you don’t sweat the small stuff. Pull back from the unnecessary. Devote more quality time to loved ones and while you are at it, nourish yourself more. Even though that’s the best advice, with Mars in Gemini to July 13, you aren’t likely to sit still for too long. One thing or another is likely to keep you on the go. Look to Mars in Cancer, starting July 13, to shift the focus and the energy.

Uranus stations retrograde on July 17, the same day that Jupiter, the increase-it planet, is optimized. One way or another, something or someone takes flight. This day could produce energetic switch, a release of tension or emotion, news, or something eventful, opportune, or synchronistic. July 20, the day Mercury retrograde ends, Mars is optimized. Mars and Jupiter hit flint on the super full moon in Aquarius on July 22. Beyond a good time to travel, vacation or to host or attend a family event, July 17 to 23 can be a happening time when things suddenly fire up or flare up. In fact, the stars continue to be especially activated through the end of the month. July 27 and 31 are also breakthrough/mobilizing dates to watch.

CANCER (June 22-July 22)

Mercury retrograde in Cancer helps you to get back in touch with yourself in a way that you may have not explored for some time. Consider it a regroup or soul-searching cycle. What are you getting out of your present circumstances and relationships? It is feeding you well enough? No matter whether life hits the spot or not, Jupiter’s one year tour of Cancer will present you with the opportunity explore new options.

The new moon July 8 can bring news, information, or an opportunity to have an important talk. If you need to sign a contract, make a plan or purchase something of significance, you are okay to do so this new moon or the couple of days before or after it.

Jupiter is in great shape this month so know put courage and initiative into play. The grand trine between Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune supports your growth. It helps you to cope with the parts of life that may usually give you more trouble. A grand trine can be a “lazy” aspect. This in terms of allow for more of the same to be perpetuated. However, Mars in Cancer, starting July 13, adds more rocket fuel. The dates of July 16 to the super full moon July 22 are particularly juiced-up. There’s plenty of potential to draw from. It can be a transforming time and year ahead for those born July 20, 21. Whether you choose to get something lit, or circumstances play themselves out, it is a time when you can be easily transported onto a new life course. Even if nothing eventful takes place, you are likely to have something cooking, even if it is only a new attitude. July 26 to 31 is also an active or breakthrough period. It is an appropriate time for moving yourself in a new career, relationship, or social life direction.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

Just past the first of the month you should find you’ll pick up a better speed. July 4 to 7, Venus in Leo is working well for you. You should feel revitalized, well plugged in, and ready for anything goes thanks to a favourable alignment with Uranus. This is a time to vacation, socialize, and play and to indulge yourself more. You don’t have to do much to gain attention when Venus is in your sign, but while not use it to your maximum benefit. It’s a great time for enhancements and appearance upgrades.

The new moon on July 9 and Mars into Cancer starting July 13 can stage an ideal time for a getaway, whether you actually go somewhere or cozy up right where you are. Creative projects are favoured too. Whether you know it or not, this new moon suggests you have something of significance on brew. It can heat things up in the romance department too or it can be time to work on something undercover. If it’s a secret, it may not be for long. Mercury retrograde and a few other planetary contributors can be exposing, so don’t cross lines you shouldn’t. On a different note, don’t ignore the signals, they could prove to be a saving grace prompt, especially when it comes to health, optimizing on potentials, or circumventing a financial drain. July 16 to 20, puts it/you on the move.

The full moon on July 22 is also a super moon. With Mars conjunct Jupiter and both Venus and the sun changing signs on this same day, you could find yourself on a surprise forward thrust. If your birthday falls on July 22, this full moon can set you up for a catapulting year ahead.

July 27 can compel you into action. Mars in opposition to Pluto can bring an important contract to a finalization. July 25 to 31, stay alert, watch for the unexpected, leap into action or jump on opportunity when the moment arises. This can be a time to stake a claim, fight for your rights, renegotiate with the bank, the boss or the ex, to bid on property or a job. Matters to do with home, real estate, and career stretch you financially or emotionally. You could find yourself bidding for something, jumping on an opportunity, in a battle of wills with the powers that be, with other or with yourself. Sun/Saturn provides a dose of realism and helps you take necessary steps. The days that follow can be lucrative or solidifying. July 31 can thrust you onto a fresh page.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Jupiter in Cancer is a much better feel for your sign that Jupiter in Gemini. Of course, Jupiter bestows where-ever it goes – Jupiter in Gemini was helpful in repositioning you, especially career wise. You still have much further to go, but you should feel that you are now getting someplace good.

With so much concentration in the sign of Cancer, going backwards to go forward is appropriate. Through July 20, Mercury retrograde doubles up on that statement. A previous goal, ambition or project could get re-energized. You can reclaim, rework, and upgrade something that wasn’t finished previously, even if you thought it was. A key social, family or professional relationship can undergo a growth spurt now too. July 7 to July 13 are especially synchronistic, so use this week to make contact, put in your request, convey your thoughts and feelings, to decipher the signals, etc.

While the grand trine of Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Chiron can keep a good thing going strong, it can also keep you perpetuating or coasting along just because it is easy to do so.

Don’t get too comfy though, if you are meant to be elsewhere, one way or another, the stars will make sure you get there. July 20 through the end of the month is ideal for moving yourself in a new direction. Have some faith in yourself and your deserving. Starting on the super full moon of July 21, Venus in Virgo brings more attention and opportunity your way. Venus is particularly well set up for you July 28 to 30, so use the advantage and create something good for yourself.

LIBRA (Sept 22-Oct 22)

When Mercury is retrograde, the snafus, the questioning, and the second guessing are to be expected. You can feel you have more on your plate that you feel is reasonable to cope with. You can wonder why bother, or where is this getting me. A question of who’s authority counts, and issues with authority, control, legal matters, banking or debt management – all these matters and more are Mercury retrograde experiences.

Despite it all, the grand trine in water eases you along your way. This grand trine is benefic/supportive to work, health and working it out. Jupiter’s recent advance into Cancer puts an even higher emphasis on career, finances and family matters. You may have made a big move already, or there may be one in the works.

The end of Saturn retrograde and the new moon on July 8 set a lucrative and productive backdrop. You should find you get a better grip on your finances and potentials from here. As life carries you along, you’ll also find you develop more resourcefulness, intuitive wisdom and financial astuteness thanks to the grand trine configuration in the element of water. It’s the right time to feel your way along. Meet the road and figure it out as you go.

Mars in Gemini keeps you and your social life on the go through July 13. In the second half of the month, Mars in Cancer puts an added emphasis on staying on top of the priorities, responsibilities, and obligations. It mobilizes matters to do with family, home, comfort zones, security issues, insurance claims, debt management, organization, etc.

Uranus in Aries turns retrograde on July 17, the same day Jupiter peaks with Saturn and Neptune. This day or the days around it could be a tide changer. You could experience it as a sudden breakthrough, inspiration, or opportunity. The super full moon on July 22 is also likely to be a catalyst for something significant, thanks to Mars conjoined with Jupiter. It could be the start of a vacation or it could be something more, but it certainly thrusts a switch. July 27 and 31 are also particularly energized by Mars.

SCORPIO (Oct 23~Nov 22)

The start of July is ideal for taking a break from the work – unless of course your work is your passion and it’s offering you something new to sink your teeth into. If that’s the case, then by all means let it consume you. The sun, Jupiter, and Mercury retrograde in Cancer make for an ideal time to travel and to reconnect with family or folk who are a distance away. Of course, it’s also an ideal time to spend more time with loved ones right where you are too.

July 7 brings the end of a four month retrograde tour for Saturn in Scorpio. You can have a sense that the brakes have just come off, that it’s finally time to make the commitment and get a move on. July 8 and 9 is a good time to schedule a meeting, or talk, to investigate, negotiate, hash out an agreement, work out plans, etc. If your birthday is October 27 or close by, you may be at a significant goal post or a finish line. Saturn is in peak aspect with Jupiter and Neptune through the month of July, and especially so from July 17 to 20. This can be a time of fruition. Life is in optimum flow. The grand trine allows ease of access to the potentials that are waiting for you.

Venus in Virgo, starting on the super full moon on July 22, can put you back to work. It’s productive influence to work out the kinks, to get at the renovations, projects, or people you haven’t had time for yet, for making necessary adjustments, fine tuning, or upgrades.

July 27 can put you on the move, perhaps unexpectedly so. July 31 can also bring something unexpected.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov 22 ~ Dec 21)

You’ll now extract from the best that’s possible within the given parameters. Jupiter one year tour through Cancer and this month’s water grand trine can bring you a level of comfort and security you haven’t known for a long time. July is an optimum month for re-prioritizing your personal life and your emotional wellbeing. What’s more important than to be at peace with yourself and to surround yourself with those who support you and love you?

Mercury retrograde (to July 20) takes you through a review of personal needs, relationship needs, and creature comforts. You can find yourself more vulnerable to those you need and those you care about. When it comes to insecurity, fear, uncertainty, neediness, etc, you can try to hide how you feel, but others will know it/feel it. On the other hand, Venus in Leo (to July 22) puts joy, love, and happiness on full display. Whether through memories and dreams, or an actual re-meet, the past can resurface, perhaps even consume you.

The end of Saturn retrograde on July 7 helps you to more fully surrender to the process of acceptance and of living it more fully. Through a conversation or insight, July 8, 9 can make you more fully aware. Mars enters Cancer on July 13, adding more fuel to the water grand trine between Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Chiron. Family, family finances, and home matters occupy you even more. July 7 to 20 is ideal for vacationing and for enjoying life’s small joys. On the other hand, if you are on a hustle to secure more, to increase your financial cushion, or to get a new address, it’s an optimal month for that too. While Mercury retrograde is usually a time to avoid the important stuff, don’t let it stop you, or you’ll miss out. Follow the flow, proceed with a little more caution, and build in more safeguards.

CAPRICORN (DEC 22~JAN 19)

This past year has likely been a matter of one thing after another. There’s been plenty to work out and plenty of personal growing has occurred in the process. Jupiter’s recent advance into Cancer places you at the start of a new social life or public life chapter. You’ll still need to feel your way along, but now you’ll be able to fall back on added support from the stars. This will help you to accept, acclimatize, and integrate with greater ease, no matter what shifted course you find yourself on.

To July 20, Mercury retrograde can keep you on a personal regroup or relationship reassessment. It is a time when great emotional repair work can be done. As is typical of the cycle, you can bump into folks you know. When you do, it can be like no time has passed.

Mars in Cancer, starting July 13 also increases your social involvements. You can feel you need more attention from others, or that others need you more. Mars sets new circumstances and relationships onto a faster track. Your instincts help you to make quick assessments, so trust your feelings and let them guide you. You’ll also find you can get to know new people or navigate your way around a new neighbourhood quite readily. A new relationship can have that déjà vu feel. Yes, that sense of familiarity is your clue. They represent a significant part of your past life saga. What is recalled can be another go around, or a view from an alternate perspective – in other words, the roles or circumstances can be reversed. In all cases, the water grand trine facilitates this karmic recall and growth cycle. July 16 to 22, the karmic potency of the grand trine reaches peak. You may experience this time frame as eventful or staging, but be reminded that your evolution is occurring on several levels at once. The super full moon can be especially intense for those born at the tail end of Capricorn. Mars opposes Pluto on July 27 and squares Uranus on July 31. These last few mobilizing days can force the envelope and/or thrust you onto a fresh page.

AQUARIUS (Jan 20 ~ Feb 18)

Want to better your health, your job, your expertise, your satisfaction? There’s never been a better time to work on your upgrades. Jupiter’s recent advance into Cancer increases the attention on your fixer-upper projects. It is an opportune time to invest. The grand trine involving Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron is at peak in the middle of July, but this configuration will extend its benefits package through the end of the year and a portion of 2014. The grand trine creates an optimal backdrop for ambitious pursuits. You’ll get what you put into and then some. Supported by this dynamic planetary configuration, your efforts can be especially fruitful, but should you choose to slack off instead, then this grand trine will simply support you to perpetuate more of the same and/or entrench yourself further.

Mars in Cancer, July 13 to Aug 27, keeps the work, the battle, or the carrot where you can see it. July 16 to 20, keeps the flow and the creative potential going strong. As Uranus in Aries turns retrograde on July 17, a synchronistic stage is set. Watch for sudden insight, added clarity, an unexpected opportunity, or shift of direction. July 20 to 22, Mars is at peak, it’s a time to launch it into action. The super full moon on July 22 will be particularly strong for those born at the very start of Aquarius (Jan 20). Mars conjoins Jupiter on this full moon. Beyond a time to travel, or to attend an event, it is likely to be one of taking a leap of faith, of launching something, of major steps forward.

The last two weeks of the month are also an ideal time to take a vacation, or to give it a big push.

PISCES (Feb 19 ~ March 20)

It’s a good time to be a Pisces! Not only do you get the benefit of Neptune in its own home sign, you also have Saturn in Scorpio and Jupiter in Cancer to draw from. They now work in unison, blending their strengths and attributes for your maximum benefit. This water grand trine configuration gifts you with ample resources and resourcefulness to draw from. The grand trine is at a peak between July 16 and 20 and again on July 27 to 30. July 17, 21, 22, 27 and 30 are activation dates (the peak of the peak). Launch it or follow the trend. Either way, you’ll harness the max of the potentials.

Mars begins the month in Gemini, so you could find yourself juggling more, coming and going more, loose ended or up in the air through July 13 when Mars will advance into Cancer. Despite that last statement, July 7 to 9, can be a time of piecing it together. Saturn ends retrograde on July 7 and the new moon on July 8 is well aligned with Mercury. They are good dates for plans, talks or negotiations or a get together. Mercury in Cancer, in retrograde to July 20, takes you through some deeper soul searching and review. Aim for what and who nourishes you the most. The retrograde cycle is an ideal time to catch up on visits and quality time with family and close friends. While you are at it, take a little more time out to replenish yourself.

Venus enters Virgo on the super full moon July 22. This full moon sets up an ideal time to launch into a vacation week or two. July 26 can be the start of an entertaining, even romantic weekend, but keep watch on your valuables, watch your health, etc. You could be more susceptible than usual. July 31 is another date to watch. While it is an appropriate day for moving house or a change of scenery, the unexpected could get you moving faster than you planned.

A personal outdoor sanctuary is an important part of feeling connected to all of life.

Each of us has been blessed with an innate need to celebrate and glorify life. At a most basic level, we honor the forces that came together to bring us into being by caring for our bodies and our souls. To truly rejoice in existence, we must also learn to cultivate loveliness in those special places that replenish the soul. When we create a garden sanctuary, we are reminded that we are a part of both nature's essence and something more. An outdoor retreat is a place we can surround ourselves in nature, beauty, and the life force. It is not difficult to create a sanctuary—we should endeavor, however, to create sanctuaries that speak to us as individuals.

Whether we have a yard, a grassy corner, a patio, or a porch at our disposal, our creative potential is infinite. Any of these spaces can become a magnificent garden. When we feel drawn to specific themes such as Zen, angels, paradise, or the ethereal, we should explore them. Décor and furniture crafted from natural materials like wood and stone blend seamlessly into nature. Yet we can also augment the natural world by filling our garden sanctuaries with statues, bells or gongs, or colorful flags. Running water, like that in a created stream or fountain, helps energy flow smoothly. If space is a concern, crystals and mirrors can fulfill the same function. Hidden features like concealed swings and reflecting pools veiled in shadow can surprise and delight. As your garden sanctuary evolves, remember to invite the elemental spirits of nature to assist you in your efforts to create a small pocket of harmony, beauty, and peace in your own backyard. If you have not already felt their presence, sit quietly in your garden and reach out to them. You will feel these earthly guides at your side as you continue to develop your sanctuary.

In the refuge of brilliant color, sweet scents, and stillness you create in your garden, the burdens imposed upon you by a sometimes hectic world will melt away. The splendor and tranquility of what you have brought into being will entrance you, allowing you to forget the constraints of time and space. No matter how large or small your garden sanctuary, the time you spend reveling in its pleasures will refresh your spirit and provide you with innumerable opportunities to celebrate life.
