Default Moonshine Gap

This hasn't got a lot to do with anything but i wanted to mention it as i found it very interesting.
Moonshine gap is the name of a road on the edge of town,i mentioned it in the holy wells thread and the name has always sort of fascinated me since. How did it get a name like that i wondered. No shit sherlock, but It's got to be something to do with the moon at a particular point at a certain time i thought, but where why and how,who knows.Luckily enough i've been going that way to work for about 4 years now and noticed something a little different on the way one day at the end of march at 5.50'ish am.

This is where i first caught sight of the moon, coming to the edge of the park farm ind est on the edge of town. The sun being in the picture is quite handy, imagine it was over the top of billingtons and it was the moon and that's pretty much about how big it was if not bigger, and where it was as i drove past. The clouds sort of opened theatrically revealing a very orangey moon, and a full one.It was very impressive and a big wow moment, very atmospheric. As quick as it had come, the clouds then closed and it disappeared from view.I remember thinking wow that moon was massive,i've only seen it that big before once, and that was a very strange night that one.
Everyone at work was commenting on how orange it was,but i seemed to be the only one saying but did you see how big it was.But it was only really big when i saw it over billingtons before it disappeared from view.I wasn't in moonshine gap at that point, you have to drive past billingtons and up a straight road called mad mile, turn left at the end and you're then in moonshine gap.It wasn't anywhere near total cloud cover and as i was driving up mad mile i was thinking that cloud must be real thick as there was no sign of it at all, after seeing it over billingtons it should have been there,a full moon that size would still leave some sort of glow behind the clouds i was thinking. It was slightly confusing but as i got to the end of mad mile and turned into moonshine gap i got my next sighting, and the moon was way in the distance over the fields and literally about a fifth of the size and there was very little cloud over that way, it was still orange but tiny compared to 2 minutes earlier.

This is looking back down mad mile from the start of moonshine gap

I saw it in the distance over these fields to the right of moonshine gap

This is moonshine gap at the end of mad mile.

I was quite chuffed with that, and came to the conclusion that it's called moonshine gap because it's some sort of optical illusion peculiar to that place, from one end of mad mile to the other and into moonshine gap. It's totally slipped my mind to check out full moons there since, but i'll have to do that some time.
I'm hunkering down now for a short period of reflection.

Page 25,glad you liked it,1,3,5,6 were all from america,2,4 from britain and 7-9 from eastern europe,i can let you know where if you like.7,8,9 just looks like it's saying we are the old ones,do like that one.
Deleted posts, mmm how can what seemed such a good idea the night before seem so wrong in the morning, from top of the world to rock bottom in one sleep. Some just disappear anyway.
What you're seeing orbs you mean or the ones in the photo's.There was a bit of ufo action on the beach in cornwall one evening at the start of may,and they were all orbs,4 of them dancing about.

Love the pipers,i've seen them before, they breezed through the pub very early on st patricks day.Been looking at scotland incidentally this week,
Fess up

hehehe The pipe's she rock'm 4 sure. I like'm

gtk on those images. 7-9 from eastern europe ; probably of interest to the EU.. dude nice data on location recovery.

Some things you know % of degree variable is highly unusual. The variable read correct. when should be xx.x% slip. on each angle.

When i am spotting these shots be they satilight or natural. I am hitting on a location on an image i am seeing. this then may leads me in to a set or sets which can be several images.

I thought to my self that strange. why there n not here. Why have me look at so little. when there much more that could be said. I understand why now. it would not of worked the rest would have been a distraction. That was the image we were meant to get.

The new set of naturalistic imagery are wonderful. i think you will like this a lot.
