Default BREAKING: CERN to 4 x Upgrade Hadron Collider

If you thought 17 miles worth of particle smashing apparatus was quite enough, think again. CERN has announced ambitious plans for a larger $40 billion version in the making, 100 miles in circumference to become operative by 2040, capable of reaching 100 tetron electron volts.

4 times!

That's some serious torque.

The only thing more ridiculous than the CERN cover story is this scene from Superman, where he reverses the spin of the Earth:

Haha! Nothing is powerful enough to do that!

...right?

"It was a mistake to leave the EU. This country will lose out on money to help people struggling."

And if $40 billion on another collider doesn't ram it home how they never and will never give a toss, then nothing ever will.

I wonder, what they actually will learn, from increasing it, they cannot get from its size already?

I don't think it's learning they're after.

It's more powerful torsion waves, to be secretly harnessed for purposes unrelated to the stupid Higgs boson.

Does anyone have any idea what they have done already, or is it so weird, no one can understand it?

According to my limited understanding, they're trying to create anti-matter, and the collider as it currently is, can only sustain anti-matter for a fraction of a second.

The larger the collider the longer the anti-matter can be sustained and studied.

I think that's basically the official explanation (I over-simplified it obviously).

The Technocrats claim their version of a Utopian society would end hunger and poverty, and they spend $40 billion on another toy.

There is also a direct correlation in alignment between CERN and the hexagonal polar vortex of Saturn.
