The overall process used at PVG isn't fracking as it doesn't remove matter from the ground but transfers heat from it. Most of the quakes caused by fracking are due to forcing vast amounts of "waste" water at high pressure back into the wells which also isnt the case at PVG. Any effects at PVG would be very local and not impinge one jot on the immense pressures required to shift billions of tons of magma away from the Kilauea summit region.

Hector was a near miss but Lane's manuevring and 6 point turn at a virtual standstill in the "nook" of the Islands was perfect for high rainfall (without being too destructive) and seeing if the roar of water makes a good focus for maintaining a presence on Earth as opposed to the roar of a lavafall and lavariver.

With the year nearing it's end.
From a few weeks back a slow paced video from Scott hiking over the fissure line to an Island in the lava. Of course Ranger Dean is no snowflake, might consider himself blessed by the incident and the telling phrase "I can no longer maintain the illusion" is an honest response when encountering a powerful spirit entity.
Meanwhile as the 2018 season nears it's end and with the passing of more weird weather in Hawaii Scott is enjoying his recently acquired prime real estate with views of fissure 8 (still not named) which is approached by a road covered with six inches of tephra. Telescopes are a mixed blessing. Without them, the alternative might be a resort or housing development and a maze of roads. With them, you are guaranteed to have strict light pollution laws that protect night skies.
