The police should be ripping the flat and whole building apart.

I found that heart warming too there's a massive public search effort going on, regardless of what's happened it shows that a lot of peoples hearts are in the right place. Something often forgotten on the conspiracy scene.

It's not possible to say what happened here as very little info about the circumstances has been released by the police. So far they're ruling out a third party involvement, which is strange to me as a familiar adult would have made the childs escape a whole lot easier.

Removing a child through a secured foyer, past a sleeping mother couldn't possibly be an easy job, even if you had keys to the flat. I haven't seen the premises myself so I don't know how hard it would be for a 3 year old to escape? my daughter was a very intrepid explorer at that age so it isn't beyond the realms of possibility.

As I said, not enough facts and far too much for speculation.

Is it still the case that people judge how many children go missing for ever on what they see on TV or read in the newspapers?

That's NOTHING like the actual & real official numbers. ...And just the official numbers are scary.

Neighbours said Mikaeel had not gone to nursery on Wednesday after feeling unwell.

Mikaeel, who normally shares a room with his twin sister, had been sleeping alone because he was suffering with a cold.

Wonder if his illness could have made him wander. Here's hoping they find him soon.

Currently reporting of a young boy of about the right age walking in the street alone at 8.30 am yesterday morning, wearing a hat.
The only problem is Mikaeel hates wearing hats. Makes me think it is very unlikely to be him.

Horrible ,
Hope they find him soon bloody freezing outside
I do think he is in a house somewhere given everyone's searched the area from top to. Bottom though .

Latest from police at 5pm press conference with Supt McAinsh and Ass Chief Const Malcolm Graham:

Police reveal Mikaeel has not been to nursery school since before Xmas.

Police say "it's entirely possible Mikaeel has become the subject of a criminal act."

Police say they need help from the Edinburgh community to understand what's happened to Mikaeel.

Potential sighting of Mikaeel on Thursday morning near his home is still unconfirmed! say police.

Just been reading the DM article. The thing I don't get is that if he was poorly when he went to bed, why the hell didn't his mother check on him once all night? Also a bit of a coincidence that on this one particular night he was being allowed to sleep alone in his room instead of with his twin sister. Something not right here.

You'd be surprised! My old neighbour's kid used to get up, and use a chair to open the front door! The kid's mother was lying in after smoking copious amounts of skunk! The kid went upstairs to her grandmother! The mother didn't even know!!
