![]() The Moffett airfield for many years served as an airfield for private jets of Google's management. And we can say that they rented it from the agency NASA for the next 60 years, just to ensure that it was at their fingertips at any time. But not everything is as simple as it might seem at first glance. A NASA press release states that Planetary Ventures LLC, a subsidiary of Google, leased the Moffett airfield for the next 60 years for $ 1.16 billion. This will reduce the cost of NASA for the maintenance of the airfield by 6.3 million dollars a year. In the conditions of a tight budget, the space agency has to look for any ways to reduce its costs, and then a very successful deal has come up. |

Some Hanger !! ...$1.16 Bn just to rent !! cost to build couldn't be more than $100Million
![]() ![]() "Google's Planetary Ventures LLC plans to use Hangar One for research, testing, assembly and development of new technologies related to space and aviation, NASA spokeswoman Lauren Worley said in an email. Google's Planetary Ventures would also hold the lease to two additional hangars....." Quasi government front companies like tesla and google seem to be positioning themselves in the space market ... this could be in the expectation of release of the high tech from the SSP , in the present corporate system companies could clean up when we go into space en mass, And it won't be with stupid rockets , but with antigravity UFO type craft . It's all in the name of the company ...Google's "Planetary Ventures" Last edited by oz93666; 10-07-2018 at 07:17 AM. |

Imagine how many drones they will fill that place with, or already do fill it with.
Maybe they will have their own space fleet housed in their one day or their driverless cars that no one wants. Either way it's a massive building, even by USA standards. |
