from the OP article:

Quote:
The old yogi does not drink water, he hydrate by keeping water in his mouth for several minutes. According to doctors, Jahn has a hole in the palate which is essential for hydration.

...

"Prahlad Jani explains that he receives his nourishment from a substance that is produced from a hole in the roof of his mouth. This substance is called amrit or amrita in numerous yogic texts. Amrit is a Sanskrit word that literally means 'without death'.

More commonly amrit has been translated as the “divine nectar” or “drink of the gods”. Many advanced yogis and sun gazers also claim to have experienced the amrit substance, which is thought to be secreted by the pineal and pituitary glands when activated by advanced yoga practices."

Pardon me for saying this, but doesn't a human body require certain amino acids, minerals and water to live?

Nah, all that stuff's for pussies!

Quote:
Amrita ("Nectar of the Goddess") is repeatedly referred to as the drink of the gods, which grants them immortality.

Amrita features in the "ocean-churning" (Sanskrit: Samudra manthan) legend. It describes how the gods, because of a curse from the sage Durvasa, begin to lose their immortality. Assisted by their mortal enemies the asuras, they churn the ocean (which was made of milk in those days) and create (among other wonderful things) amrita, the nectar of immortality.

In yogic philosophy (see yoga, Hindu philosophy) amrita is a fluid that can flow from the pituitary gland down the throat in deep states of meditation. It is considered quite a boon: some yogic texts say that one drop is enough to conquer death and achieve immortality.

Amrita is sometimes said to miraculously form on/flow from statues of Hindu gods. The substance so formed is consumed by worshippers and is alleged to be sweet tasting and not at all similar to honey or sugar water.

Thats what we have been brainwashed to think, the reality is food and water is just energy, you can obtain "energy" from other means. From the ethers.

Remember what we can see, touch, smell, taste, hear and sense with our physical body is less than 0.1% of reality. There is so much going on "out there" you can't make conclusions such as "the only way humans can live is with food and water". We don't understand consciousness, energy etc. Because our limited 5 senses only perceive less than 0.1% of reality.

Thats why we should follow our inuition. You know in your heart, that it is possible to live without food or water. Because there are other ways the body can recieve energy.

The case has attracted criticism, both after 2003 tests and after the recent 2010 tests. Sanal Edamaruku, president of the Indian Rationalist Association, criticized the 2010 experiment for allowing Jani to move out of a certain CCTV camera's field of view, meet devotees and leave the sealed test room to sunbathe. Edamaruku stated that the regular gargling and bathing activities were not sufficiently monitored,[42] and accused Jani of having had some "influential protectors" who denied Edamaruku permission to inspect the project during its operation.[42]

Here goes. Prana and taking the nutrients out the air and all that mystic nonsense.

That is a load of old bollocks. Years ago I read stories of yogis who were said to survive on a small cup of milk a day. Now this guy has gone one better and he survives of breath only! Wow! and he looks like such a picture of heath too!

Gimme a fuckin' break

There's nothing too remarkable about it.

Through certain yogic practices he knows how to stimulate his pineal and pituitary glands into producing amrita and dripfeeds himself sustenance that way.

Amrita probably contains all the essential nutrients found in food and the hydration of water, so he is eating and drinking in a sense, just not the way we normally do.

Buddha took food and drink, advocated the middle way between extreme asceticism and hedonistic gluttony. I find his path is the 'real' deal when it comes to Indian spirituality.

I said we have been brainwashed, that means all of us.

I thought you guys understood how David Icke describes the body as a transmitter/receiver. Even David Icke talks about, there was a time in the past when humans and animals did not need food, they were able to receive their nourishment through the "ethers" or whatever.

What so you think David Icke kook too? Then why are you on his forum?

Dawnbreak you were implying, you can get energy from the Sun. Well maybe you can I don't know, but thats not the point. The point is our human body can get energy from various other means. We have instruments of recieving nourishment other than from food or drink. The point is we have just lost these abilities. Maybe African's could get all the energy they need from the sun, but the point is they don't know how to use that ability. Because we have been brainwashed into the 5 sense level of reality. We have many abilities, just that we have forgotten them. That was the point.

Remember the 5 senses equates to less than 0.1% of reality. The fact of the matter is, if you want some objective proof. This guy Prahlad Jani, was observed mutliple times for multiple days, well over 7 days, in some tests, he was recorded 24/7 and he ate no food and drank no water.

Most would die without drinking water for more than 4 days. Here the discovery channel recorded this boy Palden Dorje as he is known the "buddha boy" recorded for 9 days straight, in meditation no food or water. Scientists say he should be dead. But just look for yourself.

Just watch the whole documentary. Prahlad Jani is also featured in this doc

Its just another case of mind over matter. You guys ever heard of the double split experiment in quantum physics?
