Default What's wrong with being naked?

Its quite unfortunate that, even as atheist, a man isn't able to escape the brainwashed norms of christianity.

It does nothing bad to anyone, its the way we are born. People are that brainwashed that they see this as something "abnormal".

Just WTF?

Yeah, its normal to wear something when its cold.

Its just disgusting to see how these people are programmed, and they don't even question that they are indoctrinated with. It makes me sick.

PS, attention guys: you need to wear some underwear, cause its uncomfortable having your dick swing around, and you might even have some problem with testicles

i like my solitude.

i do not accept evening visitors, and expect a 'heads up' before any visit.
i do not have a telephone, either.
since i'm retired, i don't need one.

I like the way you think. So what about electricity, money, internet, food and other stuff. How do you manage your lifestyle?

Victorian England is far more responsible for prudishness in the Anglo world than Christianity. That era was responsible for assimilating being naked with "rudeness" and also introduced male circumcision to try and stop masturbation (as if that was going to work).

One need only travel to Spain or Greece, both very strong Christian nations, to appreciate that the Spanish and Greeks have no problem whatsoever in nuding up at the beach.

I sense an undertone of Christian bashing in the OP rather than the desire to delve into where the prudishness surrounding nudity comes from.

Yeah you are right. I am bitter because of the way things are, but lets be honest here.

The resentment of nudism comes from blindly following the fundamental teachings of christianity. Just look at Bible verses, and you will see.

As far as Spain or Greece go, you got something wrong there my friend. They are strong christian nations, but they turned their fundamentalism into something they can live with. They are strong with number of christians, but not with actually living up to christian expectations.

But you are right. Christianity isn't the only thing that posed a threat at that time. Anglo world was harsh indeed.

That's great. I am planning to live the same way. Do you live in a cabin?

So you have a lot of experience. I would really like to learn from you, because its the way I want to live. Now I have to go, and I hope that I can talk with you more.

There's a big difference between modesty (meaning not showing too much skin) and being anti-nudist.

Modesty is about having respect for another person as a person.

I wouldn't call Spaniards and Greeks fundamentalists though either. Most if not all European nations are less prudish about nudity than the Anglo nations, and the UK is less prudish by far in general compared to the US.

Germanic nations have mixed sex full nude saunas ... it's just how things are, it's nothing sexual. France is the home of the nude beach and Scandinavian nations embrace the sauna like nothing else ... though they're mainly single sex.

Puritans (Protestants in the Calvinist mould) reject nudity, and I agree that they have created a view of Christian prudishness.

I'm catholic, no fundamentalist, and have no issue with nudity. Doesn't mean I want to go to a shopping centre or work and everyone is nude. But if people are at home of the beach and want to nude up I couldn't care less.

The human body should not be shunned at all, I just feel there's a time and a place to let if all hang out.

Do you wacko naturist freaks go that far - your argument logically assumes that even children should be allowed to go around naked, to beat the 'programming', paedos would love that. ..or is this great liberating privilege only for over 18's? Ridiculous.
